I purchased and electric Bullitt from Tim in 2022. He was so knowledgeable and patient with me while I figured out what I wanted, and kept me informed of supply chain issues while I was waiting for my new ride to arrive :)
Mel, store manager & lead mechanic, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. They know me and my partner by first name, and work on ALL of our bikes, cargo & non-cargo included. Visiting them is what I imagine visiting a family physician from yesteryear must have been like -- they ask me how my bikes are, and we get to talk shop about the cool new things coming out in the land of electric/non-electric mobility. I LOVE THIS SHOP!

They have a large selection of the best cargo bike brands. The staff here are passionate and deeply knowledgeable about cargo bikes, even the few they don’t carry.

They are very transparent about service costs.

Not only does theirs wonderful shop sell a well curated collection of exciting cargo bikes but they also provide excellent maintenance services. They saved the day for me a few times!

This is a great place to learn more about electric bikes and cargo bikes. Mel and the team were very helpful, patient, and kind. We were never pushed into buying anything that we didn't want or need (and we were there a few times over the past year or so). We finally decided on a bike and just received it, ready to go! With Spring and Summer approaching, we decided to look into a cargo bike that we would be able to ride with our toddler. We we arrived at the store, we were immediately welcomed by Tim and team. They were more than willing to answer all of our questions. From technical questions about the battery to simple questions about wheel sizes. After a quick test drive, the bike sold itself. We are super pumped to use our cargo bike during the warmer seasons.

So helpful! We worked with Mel and they answered all of our (many) questions and let us try all of the models we were curious in. They had helpful advice along the way and we are ordering our first cargo bike (Xtracycle swoop) through the Cargo Bike Shop! It’ll be perfect for our three kiddos and every child enjoyed riding :)

I love The Cargo Bike Shop! Never have I ever felt such personalized care at a bike establishment. Mel greets customers ( and bikes!) by first name and is super knowledgeable about not just cargo bikes but other bikes and bike trails and bike culture and happenings around the Twin Cities. I (Andy Singer) had my Christiania box bike serviced at the Cargo Bike Shop. They tuned it up, cleaned it up, and replaced the chain and some aging tires, all for a super reasonable price. Super happy.

Mel. Was great to work with she sold me toe clips that fit my feet and she put them on my bike for me. She told me a little bit about the bike ride she had gone on Through the state of Minnesota. I told her I was going on a bike ride to northern Mn she gave me some very helpful tips for my long bike ride. I am planning on buying my next bike from her next year. Thank you ♥♥
