Tru by Hilton Minneapolis Mall of America

We came on a Girl's Trip and had the most fabulous time! Where to begin.... Those working at the front desk were kind and helpful. ALL the shuttle drivers were super friendly. The room was perfect and clean. The lobby (where we hung for many hours waiting for our flight) was super comfy. My teens enjoyed the small privacy cubicles. I highly recommend this hotel if you plan on visiting Mall of America!!!

This hotel is amazing. Only stayed for one night (really about 10 hours), but the room was spacious & CLEAN. Staff was friendly upon check in. Did not get to partake in breakfast since had to be at the airport way before it opened. Bed was super comfortable. Couch was also very comfortable. Large TV. Nice bathroom. Decor was nice also.

Stayed 2 nights. All staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was spot on. So many different options I've not seen in other hotels. Room was clean. You hear air planes but your not far from the airport. So wasn't a issue. Knew it was close. Would stay again!! Was a 5 min walk to mall of America.

A little off the beaten path, but nice overall. New building, well kept. I didn't really have any interaction with the staff as I was able to check in on the app and use my phone to unlock the room door. That was a nice feature. Breakfast was decent.

Booked my trip with Expedia: Was slightly cheaper than booking with the hotel itself. Also saw that they charge you $10 per day for parking. You pay for that when you check in. They also have shuttles running every 30min to the airport or MOA.

It was overall a nice stay. If I do come back here, I will make sure to bring my own pillows 😂

I'm a Tru loyalist and can safely say this is one of, if not the single, cleanest Tru property I have stayed at to date. Normally I at least have one or two little things that make me think "that could be better done", but not here. Spick and span hotel.

I got great sleep, enjoyed the shower, and had a wonderful view to the east. One more, however, is depending on which MSP runways are active, you may hear some early-ish jets flying overhead. It wasn't incredibly loud and I was already awake, but just be aware of this if you are particularly sensitive to noise.

Hotel looked and seemed brand new. Rooms were clean with plenty of space. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was pretty terrible but it was free so we didn't expect much. We did a last minute booking and got a great deal. Location was perfect. Right across the street from Mall of America but they also have a shuttle that will take you there. I would stay again

Rooms were so nice!! The flooring is way cleaner than carpet would ever be, the air worked great, beds were comfy and shower had the hottest water around! Price is super reasonable for the area. The shuttle to the mall is fast and convenient. The breakfast was great and is complimentary, which is a plus! Pool is small and was crowded, so we didn't use it but it looked very well maintained and clean. $50 pet fee was reasonable in comparison to all the other fees in the area. Free parking as well! Our only thing we didn't like was the front desk clerk was fed up with our questions when we were checking in. They were short-staffed and only had her working up there, so we just assumed she was annoyed because of that, rightfully so.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I think it was one of the best experiences that we've had. We ended up staying a few days for medical treatments in the area. The staff was kind, the hotel was immaculate, and it's lovely to look out your window to see farmland and trees. We saw deer and turkeys from our window. It's also crazy close to the Mall of America, but you wouldn't know! The planes are a bit loud overhead, but it's actually kind of fun to see them so close. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here while visiting family and the mall. It is a busier hotel with it being so close to the airport . The staff are helpful, kind, and quick at what they do. The rooms are really lovely and clean . I love the provided shampoo and conditioner so if anyone know where to find that let me know! The breakfast is good, and has many options for one to choose from. Overall, we had a great stay and experience . You also don’t get a lot of noise it’s pretty quiet .

Our room was excellent. The breakfast they provided was not so good. The walk to the mall was about 2 to three blocks. Not bad at all. There are restaurants close by. The pool was nice. Great workout room. The 3 elevators were as slow as I've experienced anywhere. My only complaint was price. But everything is expensive these days.

Even though the Mall of America is about a 10-15 minute walk away, they offer a shuttle to and from which is great during cold days. You just need to call in advance for the shuttle or book it at the front desk in the lobby and they usually do it every 30 mins up until 10pm I believe (maybe 11pm...I forget). They also offer a shuttle to and from the airport. It's really nice and saves you on Uber and Lyft prices. The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. It is close to the airport so if you are a sensitive sleeper, just know you'll hear airplanes up until about 10pm. I'm a sensitive sleeper but it didn't bother me too much. Ear plugs helped me though. The AC worked fine. It was cold outside so I didn't need to rely on the air conditioner too much but it did what it had to do. Not the highest blowing A/C or furthest reaching but again, this is Minnesota, if you're traveling in the Fall or Winter then you don't need to rely on the AC that much. WiFi worked well. No microwave in the room but there is one in the hotel lobby. Hotel lobby is actually very nice by the way. Mini fridge is in the room and spacious. Walls in the room are a bit thin so hope you don't have loud neighbors. There's no furniture in the room besides the bed and a table and chair. Very minimalistic but I didn't mind. All floor, no carpet. Bathroom provides liquid soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. Complimentary breakfast offered and was actually pretty good. Nice gym. I'd say, the hotel overall is a 4 to me for its value but I'll give it a 5 for the great staff and very helpful shuttle service. It's about 20 minutes from US Bank Stadium if you're traveling for a Vikings game or event. Plenty of food and convenience areas around.

Katie is the best. She was so helpful throughout our entire stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was easily accessible to the airport and mall of america. Indoor pool, play area, and nice lounge area (indoor and outdoor). The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, which was pretty good. Overall satisfying stay.

Very nice experience at this hotel stayed for 2 nights, for me it was wonderful. Tho my boyfriend had problems with the firmness of the bed being too hard for him, it was good for me but make sure that the hotel has the right firmness for you, he kept waking up throughout the night. Breakfast was from 6AM to 10AM and it was pretty good, loved the breakfasf sandwich specifically the one with cheddar and croissant, we were kinda sad that the second morning didn't offered the same bread and cheese. :(

Overall a good experience, people were very kind!

Shuttle was handy, although stopped running before our flight came in when we returned.

Hilton hotels are always very nice, and this Tru Hotel is no exception. Customer service is very polite. The breakfast bar is nice, and the person seeing to it was very sweet.

From the second My Partner and I arrived on September 11th 2023 we were treated with kindness respect and true professionalism. From the Shuttle Driver Joe to the Kind Lady named Katie behind the counter there was never a second when we and others were not treated like honored guests! The location is superb. Minutes from the International Airport and Mall Of America and real close to Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Next to the Hotel there is a sheep farm with a field that the sun rises over, and a nature reserve an easy 15 minute walk away. They also have an outdoor fireplace going most of the time where we spent many an hour drinking coffee and just enjoying ourselves. We are going back next spring on our trip across the Country, and we will gladly spend more time at the Tru by Hilton Minneapolis Mall of America! Honestly, in my 64 years of living and traveling and meeting people, this was one of my absolute favorite places to visit!

This Tru location is spot on for what I have seen from the Tru brand. The room is small, has hard surface floors, limited storage, but was reliably clean and plenty large enough for our overnight stay in Minneapolis. It was clean and had comfortable bedding. Location was rather convenient to Mall of America and transit to sports venues. I had no interaction with staff due to Digital Key and did not try yhr breakfast. I would stay again.

I enjoyed having breakfast. A lot of choices and dinning area was so cleaned, beautiful with full of sunshine. The room was mediocre. No more body cleanser hard to squeeze it. But It was kinda late and so tired asking for refill that night. Overall it was a great experience. Receptionists were wonderful.
