Budget Car Rental

I absolutely loved this rental place! The gentleman that helped me was amazing, the car I got to use ran amazingly and out of the 4 different rental companies I have used this one is my top favorite. I will never rent anywhere except here! I highly recommend.

We've rented vehicles here at least 15 times over several years and every single time we've had a great experience. Whether it's me or my wife renting, this is where we go every time.

Just checking on my rental for Aug 7. Manager was very friendly and helpful, looking forward to my rental.

A little difficult to locate the check-in area. Employee was helpful and friendly. He was very clear and thorough with our truck rental.

BUDGET FAIL
Drove an hour to pick up the truck I booked a month prior. (Got a confirmation and get ready to move email just 4 days ago, so I was confident to show up for my rental!) The guy at the counter says they have no trucks. Handed me a paper to call the 1800 number and pushed me off. When I called the number, they said they would look into it and call back in 2 hours. Totally screwed my moving day. Now I'm driving to Uhaul in Blue Earth, an hour and a half away to get a different truck. I have a 5 bedroom house to load and move today and this is going to cost me 4 hours of my time and $$ in gas. Don't just walk away from Budget of Burnsville, RUN!!

AVOID BUDGET

They gave away all their moving trucks but forgot to inform us. When we showed up to pick up our reservation, the person was not really helpful and just gave us a generic customer service number to call.

Customer service has been stringing us along for over a day, giving false promises. They kept reassuring that there will be a truck available within hours, we just might have to go to a different location. There has been no communication from their part and no updates despite promises from multiple employees to do so within 2 hours.

Now they are suggesting we look elsewhere and they will "graciously" let our cancellation fee go, although THEY were unable to fulfill their promises. Not even mentioning all the issues they caused us with this delay. This has been a very disappointing experience.

1 star isn't low enough. I wouldn't trust this guy to own a pet rock, let alone a business. Tried to give us a different truck and admitted they just got the one I reserved back, which they clearly didn't inspect. Truck broke down 2 hours out of town, got stuck in a hotel for 2.5 days with no help. When I called the store for help, he refused and lied to me, stating customer service could do something they could not. When I called back to ask for help again (customer service said he could help), he told me that I was the one making things difficult. Rude owner, completely unhelpful, renting out bad trucks. Avoid this business and location.

If we could choose ZERO stars, we would! We picked up our rental truck on Friday for a cross country move to FL and the Burnsville location did NOT have the auto trailer we reserved months in advance!!!. We were told by the front desk person that they would deliver it on Friday night or Saturday sometime. It is 6:42 CST on Saturday and STILL NO TRAILER!!! We are supposed to hit the road at 8am on Sunday. PLUS, the Burnsville office was quick to charge us the $214 extra for the trailer but failed to deliver it as promised.

I called 1-800 Customer Service and they were no help whatsoever. We were told to call the Bloomington location at 8am CST on Sunday morning and they might have a trailer but no promises.

Honestly, this is the second time we have rented from Budget Truck Rental and the first time was a horrible experience as well. Same Burnsville location! We were going to rent from Penske on this reservation but chose Budget and now we are wondering why! THE worst customer service ever. Do not rent from this place. Call Penske or UHaul instead.

Company told me it would only be a one time charge of 80 Dollars. I went over a few miles which I was charged 116.37 I understand a little more of a charge. Then I was charged a second charge of over 200 Dollars. I called and they said it was due to them needing to fuel up the truck. I laughed as I put gas at the gas station that was not even 1/2 a mile away from their drop off. All in all I had to go through 2 different people and they only refunded me 64 dollars out of over 300 that I had to pay. I would not recommend this company.

Wasn’t able to get a car due to having an enhanced license, and have a small machine that gives a sad face that doesn’t approve of the id. Went across the street to enterprise got a car rental without any hassles or issues. Don’t recommend this trash place !

Our truck had been requested over a month and when we got there to pick up our truck it was not there we were not afforded the courtesy call to let us know our truck would not be there, and had to drive quite a distance to go get our truck very disappointed
Truck beat up all sides [ maintenance] constant pulling to the right.

Rudest store clerk refused to assist me completely and he was very determined to make no effort at all to help me I honestly believe that he dismissed me for being a woman and he was so laughing at me for paying for the car in advance to avoid delays and he would not provide me the car I paid for and he was not going to refund my money either still fighting for the money
