Bittersweet Gluten-Free Bakery

I stopped by this bakery yesterday in search of a scone. Having lived in London, the Capital of Scones, I am always looking for an awesome scone. So many gluten-free ones have previously been a bit disappointing.

But this one was totally great - blueberry with white chocolate chips. As well, the gentleman who served me was helpful and interesting. I have already told a number of my gluten-free friends and am confident that they will be pleased.

I stopped by again and now additionally highly recommend the pumpkin bar with cream cheese frosting. Even though there were Orange and Cranberry Scones for sale, the lady in front of me was purchasing one. She so raved about it, that it swung my decision.

You can find a table and eat right on the spot.

Several neighborhood residents were stopping in and having pizza for lunch. The topping are generous. They staff is ready to please and accommodate requests.

A few of my families other favorites are the banana bread, donut holes, and lemon zinger cookies. The brownies are Dairy-Free. It's nice to see the ingredients listed: White rice flour, brown sugar, sugar, pecans, spectrum, cocoa, tapioca flour, eggs, aluminum free baking powder, baking soda, xanthan gum.

Parking is available out front and shared with other merchants in this little strip mall.

Well after a long hiatus from writing reviews I am back. My mother in law is in town and her b day is today. She is gluten free so it is sometimes a challenge finding her delicious foods. We went here to look for bread so that we could make garlic bread for her dinner tonight. They do have several types of fresh loaves you can choose from. They also have a large selection of gluten free pizza. One thing customer service wise that stood out to me...the manager working said she wants me as a customer but said I should look for a different brand that may better serve my need in a grocery store. I found that to be very refreshing and actually made me want to support her store more. It let me know she wasn't just pushing anything on me for easy money. Go check it out people great store!

We just loved our cake! It was red velvet with vanilla frosting. Bittersweet did a great job. The cake was completed a day earlier per our request. We picked up the cake and it was packaged for transport to the church. Everyone complimented us that they did not even know it was gluten free! The cake was one of my "must haves" at my wedding. I couldn't have been happier with it. Thank you so much Bittersweet Bakery!

This is our favorite local bakery! My husband makes a weekly trip to Bittersweet bakery, so that I can enjoy their delicious treats and food that is safe for Dairy and Gluten allergies. I have to bring my own safe food wherever I go, and their food truly saves me from an empty sad stomach at work and all our family social events. My kids love to eat their food with me, it's such great quality and tastes amazing. Their staff is also so nice and helpful. It's a fun visit every time! Thank you for being a safe food option.

Absolutely wonderful cupcakes!
GF/DF cupcakes were flavorful not overly heavy like other GF/DF cupcakes.

Visited this bakery for the first time today. I bought a chocolate chip cookie and it was so soft and good. Did not taste like it was gluten free. I also bought the mint drop cookies. Also so delicious. My kids said they tasted like thin mints and could not tell they were gluten free. Most often gluten free cookies are dry and sandy tasting. These were not. I can't wait to go back and get more!!

I have a child with celiac and I have failed miserably at cooking him baked goods. This place is amazing! The cookies are awesome and the whole family enjoys them over any other bakery in town. Love the pizza and bread as well. I e always received excellent service from this family-run business. Sooo happy I found Bittersweet! Don't miss it!

My wife and daughter are both gluten free. A lot of what they eat, I don’t find particularly good. But everything that I have tried from Bittersweet has been very good. I have tried things from other gluten free bakeries and stores throughout the country. This one is my favorite.

I love everything about Bittersweet Gluten Free Bakery. For all the haters who are offended by the vaccination information, go elsewhere! This is America. Small businesses have the right to express their views and values, and if you don't like it...too bad. I am agnostic, and have no problem with this Christian based bakery. All of the products that I have tasted, are immaculate. I honestly could not even tell if someone told me any of their breads and desserts are gluten free. Having a Gluten intolerance, I crave sweets and breads often....and this is the place to go! My top picks are: Mint brownie, Carrot cake, Lemon bar, and the country white bread. They have a sale on frozen bread as well!

Bittersweet has been the best gluten free bakery around for as long as I can remember! Being diagnosed with celiac when I was 2 years old, I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to gluten free food! But Bittersweet is simply the best! They have done my birthday cakes for years and years and when I got married in December they did our wedding cake too! Thank you Bittersweet for being a staple for so many special occasions in life!❤

I love your educational posters. Thank you for bringing awareness to vaccine education. As a vaccine injured individual, I know personally how important it is to help others open their eyes to pharmaceutical propaganda. Most people aren’t aware that vaccines can not only harm, but kill.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease about a year and a half ago. Most gluten-free treats in stores are...terrible. I recently moved and found this shop not too far from my new home. MY GOSH! I'm so glad I did! I bought 4 different items (so awesome to have so many choices!) and they are all delicious! I will be going back. Many times. Other reviews will say the service is unfriendly, but take it with a grain of salt. Be a good customer, say please and thank you, tell them if you enjoy something. I didn't find anyone unfriendly. The man up front was very polite to my daughter as well. I'm a very happy customer!

I bought, the carrot cake, lemon bars, cinnamon pecan coffee cake, and cinnamon raisin bread. All wonderful, my gluten-eating husband liked the lemon bars as well!

Oh yeah, when I was picking out my treats I didn't even pay attention to price (I was treating myself) and the price was lower than I expected (especially for gluten free! Which is usually always more expensive). I would compare the prices similar to any bakery, or even lower! Very happy I decided to stop by.

I love their gluten free treats. They even baked my wedding cake! Service can be a bit hit or miss, sometimes it seems like the people helping in front would prefer to be elsewhere but this place was doing GF well before many options existed which is amazing for my celiac husband so they'll always be near and dear to my heart.

All of the gluten free muffins are AMAZING! I don’t even realize they are gluten free. Try the lemon poppyseed! My local coffee shop, Bluenose coffee in Farmington serves their products and I’m in love.

We absolutely love this bakery! We swing by for goodies when we're on that side of town and they're always great. We also recently used them for a birthday cake and it was delicious. The staff has never been particularly friendly, but other than that our experiences have been great!

It was great to have this shop to stop by and pick up a few items for some friends who came over for dinner. Much easier than trying to figure out how to make something that was gluten-free and not screw it up. Especially when I'm so used to baking with gluten! According to them the food was delicious so win!

I went to the bakery for the first time, the day before Easter. Wow - so many choices! The best was, that we avoid nightshades and the owner took the time to help us find items that we could eat and, though it was busy, she retained a positive attitude while tending to me.
When home, we thoroughly enjoyed the pumpkin raisin bread, coffee cake and lemon cookies for our holiday treats - SO GOOD!!! We will definitely return for our treat days, in the future!

Bittersweet Gluten Free Bakery is AMAZING! They have the best sugar cookies and corn bread mix. They also have donut holes and I've missed donuts so much since I've become gluten free, for health reasons. Love, love, love this bakery!!

I have tried numerous gluten free products from various stores over the years and many fail at flavor and consistency. But Bittersweet Bakery has nailed it! Their baked goods are delish! I wish I lived closer, I would go there more often.

They have the absolute best donut holes ever! Thank you for providing a place where people with food allergies can go and get good food to eat. I have 2 daughters that have had food allergies. This is the only place around to meet their allergy needs.
