Northwest Family Physicians Pa: Sandell David C MD

Dr. Sandell never freaked out about a serious condition of mine. He was a great source when my normal GP is a hour drive away while I was dealing with a serious chronic illness many would crack under. I have had some urgent cares turn me away the moment I show up with a headache rather than listening to my issues telling me to go to the ER over every little issue. Some urgent cares simply will not touch anyone with my issues. My condition is serious but I get normal sick too and having someone who can help manage and help me figure out how ill I am is a vital part of my care. Dr. Sandell has given me invaluable advice over managing this condition for the last year. The first time I met him he sent me to the ER - and I went to urgent care because I wasn't sure if I should go or not. I had been dismissed multiple times and at that point I was starting to think I was going crazy.

Thanks to him, I drove myself home and still was sent home from the ER., That prompted me switching to a new surgeon and Dr. Sandell is primarily who made me realize that I was quite sick.

Dr. Sandell is one of the kindest men I have ever met. He treats you matter of factly and to the point.

I have been a patient of dr. Chung for nearly three years now and I could not be happier with her. She's an amazing doctor with an amazing bedside manner. I feel like she's almost more my friend than my physician although she has been there for every one of my medical needs in every way I've needed. When other doctors have let me down four different Specialties I could always come back to her. Recently while she was on vacation she's had me see dr. Tallman and he is to put it Loosely quite a character! He's also an amazing doctor who cares very much about his patients! I've never not ran into nurses unless they were there on a temporary basis who didn't truly care as well.And don't even get me started on Mike in the in the lab! Mike is phenomenal! He can get blood out of me on the first try without me even knowing that he's finished let alone that he started on veins that roll away and hide for most people! That man deserves a raise! The only critique I have is that one particular nurse Mia has an attitude about her that she is better than you and she treats people exactly that way.. she has absolutely no bedside manner and quite frankly I feel like she should be working at Walmart not in a clinic. the other critique that I have isn't about their medical staff it's about their phone service. You go around and around and around trying to get a hold of an actual person except for the person that answers the phone who won't ever let you talk to an actual person they really need to work on that. It's extremely frustrating and it's extremely difficult when for example it's a medication issue and it's a Friday 2 in the afternoon. My past history is too much to explain but to sum it up a lot of doctors and Clinics and medical staff have a tendency to treat me in a certain way because of my medical history and dr. Chung has never done that nor has dr. Tallman or either one of their nurses (except Mia) and I appreciate that. It's more difficult then people realize and it just makes my life so much easier to not have to deal with my past history every minute of every day including when I'm trying to get medical care. Thank you dr. Chung for taking such good care of me and for letting me be your favorite"difficult"patient !

I went to Urgent Care on Dec 30 and it was not very busy. I was called into the room pretty quickly and was told the Dr Sandell had 2 patients before me and then he would be in to see me. After waiting over an hour, I opened the door and asked if I was forgotten. He came to the door and said very rudely, it would be quite a while before he could see me. I asked him if I should leave and he said maybe I should! He was so uncaring and unprofessional. Never even asked me what was wrong. I left in tears and will never see him again. He definitely needs to change his bedside manner.

Went into the Urgent Care and visited Dr. David Sandell. He was more interested in whether the incident happened at work than actually diagnosing my symptoms correctly. After a nearly $300 bill, not accepting insurance, I had to visit a different physician and get the correct diagnosis with no additional information then was given to Dr. David Sandell. Every business, even a hospital, is in business for money, this I understand. However, if his sole purpose for being in the health field is to make money, as I assume is true with my experience at this location, then he should trade stocks in the market or become a politician.

Very poor experience and customer care!
