Chinese Express

My new go to Chinese restaurant! Came here for the first time today and I am soooo glad I did! The food is sooooo delicious and inexpensive! I ordered the hot and sour soup, rice, steamed dumplings, and shrimp egg roll and everything was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were relatively large and the price for everything was under $15! Plus my order was ready in under 15 minutes of placing it and the food was still hot and tasted fresh. It doesn’t get any better than that. The only con is the location. It’s located on Lake St in an area tha doesn’t seem like the safest. However, I LOVE that they have a drive thru! So much easier that you don’t have to get out of your car. I would highly recommend this place!

Ordered take out for the first time. Food was nice and warm and packaged neatly. Came with a lot of utensils, sauces, etc. Food really hit the spot! Definitely will be my go-to place in the future

Been getting delivery from here for about a year or so and I am rarely disappointed (I’ve never gotten BAD food, just sometimes it doesn’t slap AS HARD as others but it’s always good) . The General Tso chicken is always delicious, and the orange chicken has a good balance of spicy and sweet. Hot and sour soup is DELICIOUS, so is their cheese rangoons and donuts. They always deliver to me lightning fast with PIPING hot food. Literally the only Chinese place we order from and the prices are crazy low. I can’t believe how much food we get for such low amounts.

Wow, really impressed. Got delivery on a Friday night and food arrived piping hot and hit the spot. Lots of extra care in packaging my egg drop soup (it was still very hot!) my dishes also had a LOT of sauces required which were all carefully prepared and accounted for with extra.

I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup, pork wontons, and fried dumplings.

Nice portions and quality for the price. Really hit the spot! My new go to chinese food.

I'm from Texas and this place was delicious! Nice sized plates. Very reasonably priced and good portions. My kids loved their sesame chicken and orange chicken. Beef and mushrooms was perfect. Looks like a family owned business. Sweet lady at the register. They do have a drive thru as well.

Always great food and prices! The drive thru is convenient. I’ve been over a dozen times and have never been disappointed.

Chinese Express is our go to Chinese restraunt for work. We drive in, eat in, and carry out regularly. The food is always hot. It's not mysterious, you know what you're eating and see fresh ingredients. They are accommodating for requests and go above and beyond with customer service. Online ordering is really convenient. The restraunt is a bit lack luster but it is clean.

Amazing value, service, and delicious food! I have been going for over a year and it’s always been great. Drive thru is always quick and efficient, and always great portions!

Getting deliveries from here for about 20 years. One of my go to places when I want something tasty and fast.

Updated-hadthe chicken wings. They are really good and stayed crisp after a half hour in the car! Original-Got take out of two combos, it was very tasty and well priced. I will come back again for sure! I left atmosphere blank because the place is pretty basic, not somewhere you would linger. Service was fast, and I got everything I ordered.

FINALLY! Good Chinese in Minneapolis. I had the orange chicken, it is lightly spicy with a mild orange flavor slivers of orange peel throughout, steamed broccoli, plenty of sauce and the chicken stays nice and crispy. I have tried almost a dozen Chinese restraunts at various price points and this one has been the best American Chinese place by far! The prices are fair and portions size is great. I used the drive through which was very fast but they also have indoor dining and delivery.

Open later than restaurants. Has a drive through window; their paper menu has more items on it than the drive through menu shows, but all items are available. Fried dumplings are great!

Really quite good Chinese food delivery for my neighborhood! Big menu, everything we've had has been good. Hot and sour soup and beef and broccoli stand out as being extra good.

One "complaint": with the new online ordering site you can't change your white rice to fried rice for like $1 or $2 like you used to? Unless I'm not seeing it? Thanks!

Everything we have tried on the menu has been delicious. My favorite is the sesame beef! Their chicken wings are divine and I have not found another pan fried dumping that satisfies a craving like theirs do!

When I lived closer to the restaurant it was my go-to spot for Chinese food, and I'm happy to say they haven't changed. I'm a fan of the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice and hot & sour soup. The lunch specials are full of food and at a very good value. Aside from the cost of gas for the short trip there, I paid less than I often do at the places that are close to my job. Service has always been friendly. I've missed them, and I'll be back again soon.

Great service. One of the most reliable places. I can customize my order for my food sensitivities. They are quick and delicious everytime. The boss usually does the deliveries I believe. But everyone there is so friendly and has great customer service.

Continue to be the place I go when I need fast, hot, inexpensive, delicious Chinese food. Order ahead and pull through the drive through. You can pay online and its ready super fast. Always hot. General tsos tofu is so effing good. Also the best fries in the twin cities in my opinion. 🤷‍♂

I hit the drive-thru for the Sesame Chicken combination plate (with an egg roll). OMG, it was sooooo delicious! Freshly made, with 2 big broccoli florets on top. I'm not in this neighborhood very often, but I should make a plan to hop off the freeway when I'm driving by on my way home from somewhere. It's right next to 35W on Lake Street. Give it a try. 😋

Easily my favorite Chinese spot in the twin cities. Hole in the wall feel, really affordable pricing, with super yummy food. I’ve been going here for years and they never miss!

Best wontons, hunnan beef is fire, and big portions. Chinese express for president.
