Common Roots Cafe

We love Common Roots Cafe, and had them cater for our wedding. The food was absolutely *delicious*. Everyone loved it, and I still think about that turkey at least once a week. They went above and beyond with the planning process leading up to the wedding, and were so incredibly helpful and thoughtful. I loved getting to work with them, and cannot stress how much I appreciated all they did for us!

I have dietary restrictions, and we selected passed apps for cocktail hour that I couldn't eat. They asked me ahead of time if I would like them to make a couple things special for me and I told them not worry about it as I'd have plenty of food shortly after for dinner time. They flagged me down during cocktail hour with a plate of specially made appetizers just for me. And I don't mean, like, a simple veggie tray or something. They specifically went out of their way to make a few gluten free and dairy free versions of the tarts we were serving guests, just for me. Unbelievable service and care.

Amazing food, and incredible employees. We highly recommend both their catering and their cafe!

Good times were had. Service was great. As part of my first time out to MN, I would say this place is easily worth the visit.

When done with meal, you bus yourself. Keep that in mind, they don't spoil you here with service of that level, but instead exchange it for delicious food and tasty coffee.

We went here for weekend brunch. The food was great! My only complaint is that it’s outdoor seating and there could have been a couple of umbrellas. We did get a nice tan. :) the lavender latte is my fav!

Wow! I went to Common Roots cafe for brunch today, and I was blown away by the fish tacos. They were, without a doubt, the best fish tacos I’ve ever had! They were light, delicately-balanced, fresh, and flavorful. Each bite was incredible, and I found myself telling my friend how delicious they were over and over while I devoured my tacos. The chips and salsa on the side were excellent too, and the salsa was definitely house-made. My only wish were that there were more tacos on my plate. I’ll be back for more tacos soon! I’m very impressed by this dish!

I had a wild rice burger and it was so good! The burger was perfectly seasoned and the tortilla chips that came with it was fantastic. My husband had Shakshuka which was delicious as well. We ordered some bakery items - Pineapple coconut quick bread and cherry scone. It was so yummy! When I went back to order some more bakery goods the restaurant had closed already. But they were very sweet and they gave the pineapple coconut cake for free. It was such a sweet gesture! I highly recommend this place. The food is very fresh and it’s locally sourced/organic which is just a cherry on top.

Great local coffee shop with delicious food options! They have unique latte flavors - I tried the salted caramel which was delicious! Pictured is the broccoli and tomato frittata and the farmers breakfast- both of which were excellent! They also have delicious gluten free bread. There’s a good amount of seating and a nice outdoor patio!

The food was lovely, the cafe had plenty of seating, and the service was fast and courteous. They modified my order (breakfast burrito with no black beans) easily. They have WiFi that worked well my entire visit. They are also a no tip business and I'm a big fan of paying people enough that they don't need to rely on tips. Will definitely come back

This is my favorite place. I come here every time I visit Minneapolis. They have a beautiful garden and outdoor seating. The coffee is superb and everything on the menu is great.

Went to Common Roots for breakfast and coffee. I had their breakfast burrito which was quite tasty! It is pretty large, probably able to split it with another person if you aren't too hungry. I tried their mocha which was also very good. They have a lot of good options for food and drinks there. The parking lot adjacent is also very handy if you can get a spot. It is worth a visit! The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I had the lavender latte and plum scone, both were great! Friendly staff, and I love that they use lots of local, clean ingredients! Will definitely be back!

We are lucky to have this great restaurant in our neighborhood. The food is tasty, they obviously care about the community and the environment, and their expanded patio is beautiful!

One of my favorite brunches in minneapolis! They update their menu in a regular basis and today the new dishes we ordered blew us away again!

It is a great place! So cozy, people are nice, the atmosphere is relaxed, the music is good (and quiet enough that one can have a proper conversation). Definitely recommend it!

This place has a cozy, chill atmosphere. Spacious with lots of seating, great natural light for reading or working on your PC. Masks are required unless sitting at your table which I love! I had the iced maple latte which was divine & a blueberry scone!

Got an amazing vegan gluten-free breakfast while supporting immigrants in Minnesota through the restaurants rising event today! The food was delicious and the environment was fun and light.

This place is very eco-friendly and have the best bagel sandwiches!!! I came here with a couple of my friends and loved it!!!
