Mercy Hospital – Unity Campus

This is the best hospital I have ever been in. The staff and care are exemplary. They made me, a severe anxiety disordered patient, feel so secure and not one panic attack! The staff, particularly Derrick, Sarah, Julie and the wonderful respiratory and lab guys are a joy. Don't be afraid to come here it's a treat place. And I am in the COVID unit. They are busy!!!

I was admitted to Mercy for addiction treatment, inpatient. I received excellent care. I struggled with alcohol addiction for a very long time, and I was not able to get sober until my treatment here. The staff was amazing, my counselors helped me with care after discharge, and I felt that the nurses and doctors really cared about me and wanted to see me succeed.

I’ve been seen twice here in the ER over the past few months and compared to other hospitals this place is fantastic. I was seen quickly and treated very well. In and out in under 3 hours. Where as at Abbott I was left to wait over 10 hours in the ER waiting room after I had a severe surgery complication. I’d choose Unity hospital again any day over other hospitals. I was an ER patient here and the service I received was amazing! The ER staff was ok but the doctors were outstanding! Very nice and clean ER too! Highly recommend!

Their ER front desk (Nicole) was so friendly and compassionate. We came a little past visiting hours, and instead of turning us away, she asked if we would like her to call upstairs and see if they’d make an exception. They did! So we got to visit our grandma, who’s currently in comfort care. This meant the world to us, and I’ll never forget the compassion your staff showed us during this hard time. THANK YOU.

The morning after my grandson injured his ankle on hockey skates (he is 8 years old and learning) and continued to be in a lot of pain, we took him to the Unity ER at the encouragement of the after hours at his Allina home clinic. From the onset of care to the end of care, he was treated so kindly and with care, pain management and good home care instructions. The doctor said he is young, and he will heal fast, which he did. I was impressed how all the staff treated such a young boy with respect and care--and also us his grandparents. Thank you, Unity emergency staff for your kindness and care. He is doing well.

Drs, nurses, and tech teams have always been great when I've had to visit. They listen to you and make you feel heard. They don't treat you like the pain is all in your head, and as someone who has chronic health issues, it is such a relief.

Unity Hospital's staff, nurses, and doctors were compassionate and highly intelligent. I was confident in their treatment for my illness. I was secure in the fact that I was receiving the best care possible. As a result, I am better now. Thank you to my nurse, Lisa, on floor #2.

The entire staff the entire time made me feel welcome, comfortable, they were knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions, and above all they were supportive and friendly. No one likes to be admitted to a hospital, but the staff here was amazing and made the experience the best it could possibly be. Special thanks to the nursing staff who had to put up with me the most, all of them were tremendous.

3 months later went back to Unity in Fridley for a follow-up to my procedure. Once again, the staff members were courteous and friendly. My test lasted about 45 minutes, and got to have a nice talk about the Renaissance Festival of all things. Made the time fly by and as enjoyable as a medical test can be.

My mother was discharged from Unity today. She was on 1 west. I cannot even express the wonderful.care she got. From every staff member: doctor, nurses, aides, housekeeping. They all went over and beyond. Also very courteous and kind to me. I always felt they had time to talk to me. Thank you so very much, 1 West staff! You have a lot to be proud of!!!

I had a very positive experience in the ER. I arrived around 5:30 in a lot of pain. I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant nurse, she checked me in and I got into a room almost immediately. From there the doctor was kind and patient with me, asking questions and taking time to listen. The nurse who checked me out was very pleasant and helpful. I've been to this ER a few times and this was by far one of the most positive experiences I've had there. Thank you, Unity!

On January 7th 2022 I visited this hospital and I was not happy with the nurses. But after a while I think probably I feel is not fair to give a bad review to the hospitals, because shots of staff's which means a heavy load on the employees which can lead to stressful environment and all is because of the covid. I apologize to all the nurses on duty and don't blame me as well hence I was also going through a very severe pain. Keep your great job.

Mom needed emergency kidney stone surgery. Surgery was successful and stent was placed. My mom is doing well thanks to the team that worked with her. Surgeon, nurses and CNAs. Communication at times was difficult, but they do exactly what needs to be done for the patient. I'm glad we are here, healthy and now getting discharged. I recommend this place if you need surgery for kidney stones. They know what they're doing.

I went in two nights in a row for care and required staff to help me schedule follow-up care. I felt that the ER staff was very friendly and caring, often checking up on patients awaiting their turn to be seen. I was offered pain reliever and an ice pack while I waited. Their staff called on a Sunday to an out of network clinic to get an important appointment scheduled for me. I'm thankful for all of this.

I just had surgery here at Unity and from the moment I walked in until the moment I left I felt so taken care of by everyone! They were running late getting me into surgery but were so kind about it and even gave me a gift card for the trouble. Dr Banks is a great surgeon and the staff there is second to none. My nurses including Jean, Ashley, Cindy, Jenny, Kathleen, and especially Dawn and Sue this morning when I wasn’t doing my best, just took such great care of me! The PT gal JJ as well. I’m so sorry If I forgot some names but all you ladies rock! Huge huge thanks to everyone at Unity for the phenomenal treatment.

After collapsing in the ER, I woke up 2 days later in the ICU being cared for by the most amazing nursing team! I had never been hospitalized before and was feeling scared and helpless, but, every time a nurse or a doctor came in my room I had more and more answers. I left 5 days later with medication, a follow up appointment, and a clear understanding of why I ended up there and the steps I need to take to avoid returning. I didn't spend any time in the main hospital, but I can't say enough good things about the day and night staff in the ICU. They saved my life and I am forever grateful!

went to hcmc and was released saying i was fine. 1 day later i had a seizure, went to mercy hospital and they treated me like i was in a hospital. amazing staff, chaplains when you need them, great food (it takes about 30 minutes to arrive) but amazing hospital

I went to Unity for detoxification and counseling. Immediately, upon arrival I was brought, and very gently, taken care of. In all honesty, my experience with this hospital for my stay was one of my happiest memories. Thank you all so much. I truly miss being there. The nurses and counselors were were very sweet and caring. Doctors.. A bit rough, but nothing I can't handle. I'm now successfully a non-addict!

3 days last week. Pneumonia. Great care and transition back to my home in the Iron Range. No one was bad or nasty. Shout out to Beth on 1 West. My nurse two days in a row excellent communicator. And a shout out to Ola who cleaned and sanitized quickly and very efficiently.
Hospital food is not a hotel buffet. The menu has choices depending on your health needs. The chef salad was impressive with large strips of meat and cheese..and only half a carb. Overall...above average hospital food

I had two ER visits in a row - going at 10 PM on a Saturday night and 3 AM on a Monday morning. The wait time was minimal and the staff was fantastic - they were very comforting and explanatory. They made what was a very distressing situation for me as calm and controlled as they could. I very much appreciated their demeanor and quick work!
