Jimmy's Food & Drink

Friendly sports bar atmosphere, fun, engaging, and attentive staff. Large portions, so plan on sharing! Tater skins came with 6 HUGE skins loaded with cheese and bacon. Cajun dry rub on wings. Delicious! Bloody mary Bar had decent offerings. First time here, but we'll be back!

We were staying at the attached Holiday Inn Express so decided to give Jimmy's a try. When you enter from the hotel it's a little confusing as you enter into the bar which is all high tops and very very busy on a late Friday night (we went after getting back from Glow fest). It's awesome they were so busy and it was a good sign that this was the place to go but the Holiday Inn (or Jimmy's) should probably put some signage up that the restaurant is on the other side of the bar. I almost noped out as I'm in a wheelchair and seeing only high tops + narrow aisles...
Luckily, my husband went and scouted inward and found the restaurant. Then he cleared a path through the bar so we could get there.
We were greeted and seated quickly at the host station at a great table where my wheelchair fit perfectly! I could roll under without my rigid chair footplate getting blocked and preventing me from fully pulling in. Our server quickly came over and let us know we were at the tail end of happy hour and we could still get some orders in. Awesome service! Shortly after she came back with a couple Foggy Bottoms for my husband and a basket of hot perfectly crispy tots.
For dinner I had the Taco Salad (beef) which was excellent. It was better than expected actually. No layer overwhelmed the other and the mixing in both the red and green salsa added a decent amount of spice. I left off the sour cream and only used the upper edges of the shell. While this isn't a difficult dish- a lot of restaurants overwhelm so all you can taste is one ingredient. Jimmy's makes a perfect taco salad if that's what you're craving - go for it.
My husband had the Blackened Walleye dinner with wild rice as his side. He was a little confused about the random strawberry on the plate but shrugged and ate it because "yum, strawberry" ha! He said the blackened walleye was great and was "spicy for Minnesota." This is a huge compliment as my guy likes Southern food (true Cajun), and he doesn't compliment Minnesota "spicy" much. He usually chuckles at it. Kudos! So while he said it's barely there spice (be aware his "barely there" burns my mouth usually), he did say he could taste Cajun and it was "great and spicy for Minnesota." He also enjoyed the wild rice. The veggies were a bit overdone. He gave his meal an A- and the service an A++

The restaurant portion of Jimmy's was very accessible for wheelchairs. Wide aisles, accessible seating, accommodating hosts and servers. I didn't use the restroom so can't comment on those. The bar portion is not accessible with only high tops and very narrow aisles. Be extremely cautious entering from the hotel and have a walking individual in front of you to clear a path or be prepared to tap people and speak loudly so they can hear you, look down and move both their bodies and stools out of the way. Be aware that some will be " happy" lol and will stumble out in front of you (or randomly jump) proceed with caution so you don't clip an ankle or high heel and cause someone to fall. No one can see you. Maybe bring a loud horn? I don't know.

Jimmy's is definitely worth going to and we'll go back again. Excellent hosts and servers, good food and a really great atmosphere.

Went to Jimmy's for lunch, and Sandra was our server. Their Chicken Wild Rice soup is delicious. I wish it was less salty, but that is my issue. Jimmy's was extremely busy, but Sandra was fantastic and efficient.

We love coming here for brunch, dinner, happy hour...all of it! The food is really good, the atmosphere is positive, and the staff rocks!

Recently we had a party hosted and catered by Jimmy's in their smaller party room onsite. I couldn't believe how easy, affordable, and hassle-free it was! The event staff sets a high bar, and everything was perfect. It made our 81 year old senior's day!

They will from now on be my go-to. They get the cake from Grandma's Bakery!

This was my first time eating at Jimmy's I stayed the night at hotel across the road and searched for sports bar near me, Jimmy's was the closest and top of the list. They were pretty busy It's the season opener for NFL football. I decided to order chicken strips. food was phenomenal, they have lots of beers, lots of drinks. Waitress was exceptionally nice! I definitely recommend Jimmy's

It's busy on the weekends here so my friend and I come on the weekdays after work and they always have awesome games going. The service is always great here. Food is hot and fresh at all times. Drinks are (Chef's kiss) Delicious !! The Berry Margarita is my go to during happy hour. Always a fun time here at Jimmy's!!

This place actually surprised me. I got off work late and wanted a quick bite and beer on the way home. I wasn't expecting good food, especially so late, and with a bar crowd. Not only was the draft beer selection on point, but the burger, wings, fries, and tots were absolutely delicious. So glad that places like this still serve great food no matter what time of day!

Great menu, something for everyone, even gluten free options. Reasonable prices, great service from a friendly and interactive staff that make you feel like family.

Super staff, friendly and menu knowledge. Great food, huge bar with separate dining room. Many awesome menu choices from apps to full dinners and everything in between. If it’s bingo night get there early. Will definitely be back. Walleye was fantastic.

Everything about this place was great. There was something for everyone, and we all ate to hearts content. Even though it was busy, our server was pleasant, and the service was fast. We will definitely be coming back.

Jimmy’s has really good food and drinks. They have happy hour until 6:30 which includes select food and drinks.
They also have bar bingo.
They have a great patio and with a fireplace on the patio.
I highly recommend this place.

Ms. Betty the Corso is the Facebook page for my service dog Betty. I will ost a review on there as well but... I wanted to say that I could not have been more pleased with my recent visit!!! I believe the guy was the manager that came up to chat with me about Betty and share pics of his 4-legged friends. It is so hit and miss when it comes to finding places that treat Service-Animal-Havers correctly!!
I am going to start a Facebook Page that is dedicated to where Betty and I go and how the staff reacts at each place!! Jimmy's has an amazing reputation for a reason!! They even filled my service animal's water a few times while we were there. Both of us were very surprised with how welcoming everyone was!! I would go again... ANYTIME!!

This place is fantastic. They have a huge menu with so many options. They have four different types of walleye. The service is awesome as well.

This is one of those solid sports bars. It's open late, serves food late, always has every game on, always has a hearty crowd (but plenty big enough to accommodate). The menu features a large sections of bar classics, some with unique twists and others just solid versions of the classics. Good prices and tons of food/drink specials during happy hour.

There's some neat pictures of athletes and local celebs on the wall, specifically hockey players obviously, so if you're into that it's very interesting.

There's nothing this place does that's super over the top but everything they do, they do well, and I really appreciate that.

The taco salad was okay. Could use some seasoning but it’s not terrible. French fries are good.
Bingo was fun, a little fast paced but still fun.

This is our go to. Great HH deals, amazing wings, big place (never have to wait for table), the service is fast and friendly. Even our toddlers love it and they usually cannot sit thru a meal in public. Highly recommend.

We had my father in laws funeral luncheon here in a private room. The staff and food were amazing!! Thanks for all you did for us!!

Dope place, good food and I love the drinks specials. They have 3 happy hours. Great service I miss Lala, great service from Lindsey!!!

We were there for a birthday party. First time there. Seemed like a good place. Clean. Our party was catered.

We had a late lunch and sat at the bar. Great service, nice selection of food and drink! The tacos were very tasty!

Next visit
Went here for a family gathering. We had a handful of tables but the server did a fantastic job keeping everyone supplied with food and drinks. Good food and nice beer selection!
