Super nice people!. Quick on getting my vehicle in for a diagnostic for my check engine light. They checked all the important things and sent me a list(with pictures!) of all the things that need attention and are good. They caught an important needed fix leak that I didn't know about. Very thankful and happy with my service. They have warranties on thier parts! They also have a roadside assistance for a year after you get stuff done over $30. That gives me a sense of peace.

Mars and his team were beyond exceptional. My car stalled in Stillwater when I was four hours away from home. 😩 They were extremely helpful and got me in right away and fixed it within one day! They went above and beyond and even called the previous auto shop, who had done some work on my car, and got most of the bill covered for me via warranty. I highly recommend Rick’s 36 and wish there was an auto body shop just like them in my town!

Addendum: we have also had a major repair completed. Since it was a torque converter it required a full transmission replacement. Andrew and the team completed the repair while communicating exceptionally well the breath of repair, timing of the work, and cost. The total cost was much lower than we expected. Thanks so much.

I just had my 2014 Equinox in to Rick's 36 Automotive for an oil change and to figure out why my heater blower wasn't working. They went above and beyond to diagnose my car's problem. I have been going to Rick's for many years. Everyone is always professional, knowledgeable, and cost conscious. As my vehicle ages, the technicians at Rick's have made helpful suggestions for prolonging the life of my car. I really trust these folks and highly recommend them.

As I was lucky to have a breakdown close by while taking an acquaintance shopping, I was referred to Ricks. They had a loaner car and I was starting work the following Monday.

First time customer, new to the area. Outstanding quality and service. I bought them a one off rat rod with a transmission pan issue and they took it in and got it fixed within days. I even asked them to seal up my leaking radiator overflow bottle, which they took care of no problem . I will absolutely be bringing my other cars to them in the future.

Great atmosphere and conversation. Nothing to complain about as they spent quite some time trying to find the problem. Greatly appreciate the fact that they have loaner vehicles.

This was the best service I’ve ever received for an oil change and car maintenance. I went in on a day when I had my daughter with me, and we waited for the car to be finished. We were welcomed and given coloring books and snacks. There was even a phone charging station. The best part was that (when we found out we needed new tires, decided to buy them the same day and have them replaced, as well as the 100,000 maintenance checkup completed), they were able to give us a rental car to borrow while the work was being done. It was so nice to drive right home, put my daughter down for a nap, and know that at the end of the weekend I’d have a healthy vehicle for the summer trips to the cabin ahead! This rental made it possible for my husband to be at work while I got the car maintenance done. They were very kind to me, as a woman my least favorite thing to do is get car maintenance done because of the way I’m typically treated. That wasn’t the case at Rick’s 36. Stellar service, feels like family. Highly recommended, especially for mothers with children, or any woman looking to be treated with respect at a mechanic. Bonus - they called telling us they’d finished the work same day! Awesome.

Update! We got our van serviced and I found a sweet surprise inside. A little teddy for our daughter was placed into her car seat. My husband and I were thrilled and appreciate these kind and sweet gestures! They even washed the van and the inside of the windows in front, it looked and smelled new! I couldn’t believe it :) best choice for automotive care. EVER.

My muffler fell off on one of my cars a few weeks back. At first I thought it was gonna be a pretty expensive repair but it was very reasonably priced and very fast. Everytime I bring one of my cars in it's always extremely quick and quality work. No pressure from the staff helps but they always have you and your cars best Interest in mind when they do the repairs. I've been to many shops in the twin cities metro area including on the bordering areas in WI. I've never visited another shop twice. This is the only shop that I will visit going forward happily more than once for any of my car needs. Google kept bugging me about leaving a review. Huge thanks to the mechanics, Andrew, and Mars for always helping me out!

Edit: I continue to go to these guys years later after my great experiences every time! Except twice now they don't close the hood quiet all the way 😂 no big deal.

First class operation. They diagnosed and did did a major repair, $3,500, replacement of timing belt cover and all that went with it. A lot of disassembly. . So far , so good. Just picked it up 2 days ago.

I recently took my wife’s car into Rick’s36 for an oil change. We buy the 5 pack oil change for a great deal. They diagnosed an engine light that had just come on. They found several maintenance issues that they recommended we perform, but put no pressure on us to do them. They were also honest enough to tell us the engine light went off on its own…saving us $340 repair bill! Now that is customer service at its finest!

They took care of my situation in a very efficient manner. I had my ignition damaged and my back passenger window broken because of a theft. They were the only place in Stillwater we get my car done as quickly as they did. They did excellent work! I really appreciate it!

I found these guys when my Subaru dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. I called my own Subaru dealer and they couldn’t get me in for several weeks. I was able to be seen here quickly and they had a vehicle for me to use while mine was in the shop. In the end, they solved the problem for a much cheaper price than I was expecting and my car has been doing great ever since. They were kind and helpful and I am so grateful for their help!
