The Main Cafe

This is an Amazing restaurant/Cafe right on Main Street in Downtown Stillwater. Excellent food every time I have visited here. They have a great variety of different types of food to choose from for either breakfast or lunch. Steak, burgers, or Gyros for breakfast? Count me in! The service is always terrific. Prices are reasonable. The food comes out fantastic and quick. Best breakfast spot in Stillwater.

One of the best places to eat in stillwater ever!! We had a lot of food and we loved everything. The owner is so friendly and always greets you with a big smile. The service was on point. They have COFFEE REFILLS!!! And the coffee is amazing. We had the gyro, the triple berry french toast, the soup of the day and the lumbar jack potatoes.!! 🤤🤤🤤 You gotta try it!

The main cafe was great! The service was so quick and excellent. We ordered the triple Berry French toast which was delicious and not on the menu but apparently still exists as a menu item!

Busy place but worth any wait. Went for breakfast. Best Benedict eggs by far. Ordered one pancake on side. Food was served quick and hot. Large enough serving was able to share. Sitting is tight but not a problem for me but could be for some people.

Classic, delicious diner food, large portions, and super friendly service make this a must. It smells like heaven in there!

I was in town with a classmate/friend visiting a classmate/friend that lives in Stillwater. We stopped here for breakfast before we went on a bike ride. The waitress was awesome, and funny. The food was awesome too! Would definitely stop here again when I'm in town.

Service as usual was prompt and food came out quickly. I am a big fan of their various omelets, but their other menu items and specials are really good as well.

I read the one star review due to a near close arrival and not being served as well as comments about not having people that are willing to work. I can tell you when I have been there during their morning rush, the waitstaff do an excellent job keeping all the customers satisfied as they move constantly. I have never had to wait long, nor has my order ever been messed up.

The owner is a really good guy and he treats the employees very well. He also is at the cafe every day of the year making the meals.

As a former service worker and now customer I have seen both sides of arriving next to closing time. I personally do what ever I can to not arrive within 30 minutes of closing unless I know I can be out of the restaurant by closing time. There are many tasks that have to be delayed until all customers leave. So sitting at a table 30-40 minutes beyond closing delays employees from getting home. Better tip staff well if you are there after closing.

Overall, The Main Cafe is one of many great Main Street restaurants in downtown Stillwater. I highly recommend a visit, especially for their breakfast.

The Main Cafe is your iconic small town cafe, however with a diverse menu and tasty offerings! We were greeted with a smile and service was quick. I had the burger and a salad. The salad was not basic and no iceberg…It had a variety of greens and very fresh! The omelet and hash browns filled a very large plate. The gyro sandwich was so good, there were no leftovers to take home! Highly recommended!

Food was excellent service was excellent and atmosphere was family friendly. My family went here for my husbands birthday breakfast, we have 4 kids under the age of 7 and my niece was with us also. The server was very kind, accommodating, and patient as we ordered. The hash browns and eggs I ordered were perfect, also the pancakes here are amazing. We will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a local authentic diner in Stillwater, The Main Café is the place to go. The food is always fresh and I highly recommend the Triple Berries French Toast.

Stopped by The Main Cafe for brunch and it did not disappoint! The staff are nice, the owner very friendly, and the food was great. I highly recommend it!

Really great value on a big portion of tasty food. I love the location in beautiful downtown Stillwater. Lots of options for a hearty breakfast!

Classic Cafe!
Service was quick and efficient. It was like she could read our minds. The food was wholesome and hot. A very satisfying experience that was the most affordable meal in Stillwater so far. I could hear easily, not noisy with overhead music that most places feel is needed.

Great service, great food and quick!! Stopped on a Saturday morning and even though they were busy we were waited on right away! Our food came out super fast, as well, and it was delicious!! Highly recommend!!

Amazing service!!! For some peculiar reason, every other breakfast/caffeine stop in town is closed on a weekday, so people can't get their coffee... This place really picks up the slack! After two stops to closed shops, I walked until I found one that was finally open. Was in a rush to get back to the office, and the lady that took my order was awesome! They were very quick with a breakfast sandwich to go and a tea to wake me up. Custom everything on the food order, which was very unexpected and awesome! Super impressed!!

Well worth the visit. Classic diner with a great breakfast.
