Washington County License Center - Stillwater

Road test was not stressful at all! Find the 2 spots in the center of the parking lot closer to Acapulco Mexican restaurant the examiner will come to you. Once you pass plan on 45 mins longer to get the paperwork done, very busy place. The lady that helped us was very friendly and helpful!

I know the DMV is one of the last places we humans want to go to in order to get tabs, renew license, etc. I went today, March 28th 2024 and had an incredibly pleasant and speedy experience. I grabbed a renewal form and my ticket number. As soon as I got to the standing table to fill out my form, my number was called! Got to the counter and the female employee serving me was very kind and upbeat. I have gone to this location since I got my license in 2014. The whole licensing center room is spacious and clean and has plenty of seating for people to wait. Can’t say the same for White Bear Lake DMV, as they have zero seating and long wait lines. I’ll always go to this location. Great job, Washington County. This is how it should be state-wide.

What a wonderful facility! We had an appointment for a passport interview and were actually able to get in earlier! Cheryl, the employee who conducted the interview, was absolutely wonderful! I would definitely recommend Washington County to anyone needing to get a passport!

Really great service, they were willing to go above and beyond to help me find a second proof of address so I could change my address on my license. Super fast to get in and out as well.

Absolutely love the Stillwater License Center. Staff is amazing, service is fantastic. I came in with a complicated transaction and Annette and Katie worked through all of the challenges and was able to help me accomplish my need. One of my favorite places to go! Great job Wash Co!!

I always get great service at this location! I came in for a complicated service, an enhanced ID, and the attendant was just super! Getting tabs is always just a quick in and out process for me here. I love this station!

We got the kids' passports in this office on a Saturday morning at 8 AM, and the process was FAST and SMOOTH, with no waiting time. The lady at the counter was SO nice and patient with our little kids, smiling all the time, very polite and professional. We arrived well prepared because the instructions in the Washington County website were very clear; their appointment and checking-in system is efficient. This was a great experience!

Just moved into the area and this was my first time coming to this DMV location. I like how they have plenty of workers at each service window. There's 15 service window and I did walk-in. I went in at 2pm and did not have to wait. Service was super fast and simple. The woman who helped me was very polite. Overall, a great first time experience at this location.

This is one of the quicker dmvs to go to. Last Friday, I had to renew tabs. I stopped in at 4:30, fully expecting it to be packed. Nope. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Employees all seem decent and helpful

Always great service at this location. Seemed busy when I got there, I was expecting a long wait time. I was wrong, my wait time was less than 5 mins. Renewed two registrations and again all less than 5 minutes. Thank you for the fast and friendly service.

The State of MN on-line system for vehicle license tabs is very easy to use and has kept me out of the DMV for 4 years. We went to the Stillwater DMV today for an Enhanced REAL ID and were pleasantly surprised with their newly remodeled customer service and waiting area. The automated check-in was easy, they were fully staffed so the wait time was short and the process was quick and painless. Tom assisted us and was very friendly, clear, knowledgeable and helpful! I'm here to tell you that the DMV has got their stuff together...before Hell froze over or the Vikes won the Super Bowl!

I once dealt with a license center in another state that was an entirely different experience. Through that encounter I learned just what a gem we have here.

I was renewing my tabs as the last appointment of the day on the day, on the day before everyones Christmas time off, during the middle of a blizzard, and with the power to building going in and out ... And the rep who assisted me during my tab renewal? Nothing but kind, patient, happy, and courteous, and as helpful as could be! Everyone stuck there during that rough time showed me kindness and patience and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you SW DVS!!

They were very helpful. We bought a vehicle and didn't have an appointment. We were able to walk in and immediately were able to transact our business. Great service, with a smile I think ( behind the Covid-19 mask.)

I’ve been to this DMV twice in the past three months and both times I was waited on quickly and without any attitude. No rudeness, just efficiency, patience & courtesy, so I would recommend this location to anyone who asked me.

The people that work at the counter are the best. I have personalized plates and was not happy when I found out that the government did not figure out how to allow the DVS to make a transfer to a different vehicle. When I was at this deputy registrar the women said that she would have a post card sent to me when they fix the problem. I got the card today (03/20/19). If only our government was that good.

The remodel of the Stillwater License Center is absolutely amazing! What a wonderful accomplishment for this team.
