Cynthia Wright is absolutely amazing and honestly the only reason I’m not giving a one star review. This process of getting my hygiene license is insanely long, tedious, and expensive. Ms Wright has been absolutely amazing and so helpful through every single step in this process. If you’re a hygienists trying to get your license just call or email and ask for her because she gets stuff done and in great time.

Someone from the dental board phoned me yesterday and explained that no one has been in the office since 3/17/20; no one has brought the mail into this office, etc. I was told to file a complaint online on their website. I was glad someone phoned me back and clarafied that "working from home" does not include answering paper complaints sent via post mail on 5/30/20. Mary

Don't ever bother emailing them, at all. Certified mail only with these people. I emailed them with a simple question that could have been answered with a quick "yes" or "no". Unfortunately, they don't reply to their emails. They really need to delete their email from the website because it is such a waste of time. They're also EXTREMELY SLOW and may even lose your documents that you send them. Certified mail only! Prove it was delivered so no one can try to blame you.

Being that the office's location is embedded within many other departments, my gut told me to hand carry/drop off my CDA and RDA applications and have staff rep go over each document to confirm signatures, notarized pages etc. I took screenshots of submitted app before departing. I was provided a phone number if i had questions later ( Folks there did not answer the phones but will call back after you leave 3 or 4 voicemails roughly) i have rcvd incorrect documents by mail (which no longer applicable) but my registration finalized in a timely manner. No mail rcvd to confirm my license but it can be verified on the dental board website (just provide screenshot to employer lolz)

Unfortunately i have to leave a review and agree with all the bad reviews i have read so far. Dr HARVEY HANNA in JC caused so much harm in my perfectly healthy teeth, i suffered for over a year for dental malpractice that other dentist had to fix when i finally said 'enough'. I was advised to submit a complaint and yet, it's been over two years and no one ever replies to my emails or phone calls. Voicemails are full, if you call once and try calling again they're not going to pick up that same number and someone gave me a fake name and fake phone number. It's sad that dentists in NJ are commiting malpractice left and right and we have NO ONE caring for us. Shame on you people.

I first want to state it took me over 8 weeks to get my license. The ladies I spoke to who work in the hygiene application department were very rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. Mrs.Wright the lady who approves documentation had documents for over 4 weeks. I called the state board of dentistry and her several times and left 4 voicemails in regards to questions about the application process. No calls were returned, after about 2 weeks is when I finally got ahold of someone just because I kept calling them. When I finally talked to her I realized that documentation wasn't getting approved due to miscommunication and disorganization. She does not check emails. If sending something by mail get it verified by the post office with a confirmation number so you know when they receive it. After all documents was approved I waited 3 weeks for an invoice to be sent. The only reason it was sent to me is because I emailed the director Mrs.MaGrath, after thirty minutes of emailing her she sent me my license number. She is very helpful but you have to email her because her voicemail is completely full. I called the state board to ask for her and the lady stated she was In a meeting and asked if she could help me. I stated I just needed a invoice sent to me and that it's been over 8 weeks since starting the application process. She then very rudely stated, "Well that's good, people usually wait much longer".

This department is the definition of “lazy government employees”. You’ve got a better chance watching the Jets win a Super Bowl before hearing back with any result from these people. Might as well not even bother. This is why the dental industry in this country is so bad.

I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. It is so frustrating to know that your future lies in the hands on people who could not care less. I applied for my license in August 2021 and didn't receive my first email from them until October 2021. I sent multiple emails and left voice messages, none of which ever got a response. Nevertheless my card was charged instantly when it came to the application fee, the fee for the background check, and the fee for the license itself. I have friends in CT who were able to start working less than a month after graduating. There is nothing professional about the way licensing is handled here and I TRULY understand that the pandemic has changed a lot about the process but I don't understand how there is literally no one available at any time to answer questions or confirm information.

No one answers the phone/emails!
Most people were getting their license within 4 weeks. It took mine 8 WEEKS! As soon as I found that out, I sent multiple emails in all caps within 25 minutes to get thier attention. It worked and I was finally emailing with a employee. I explained that I know some people who recieved their DH license within 4 weeks. I asked the question "why is mine taking 8 weeks? Did you forget about my application? " she was unable to answer that. Literally 5 minutes after talking to her my license # came through. So my license was sitting there for an extra 4 weeks because of the laziness and unprofessional employees. I ended up missing out on a month of work because of the NJBOD. Yet they still charged me the application fee even after I asked to have it waved after the total mess I been through with them.

Horrible way to answer the phone. Their online application website is tedious and one is under oath, you call them to request some clarification. Mrs. Green is never in her office and apparently she is the main name in the application process. You call and get fake names, they pause and then give their information. I need to know who am i speaking with and whos is telling me what. They are rude and heavy in their voice. It's a mess. I also work and don't have all week to play their cat and mouse game, call and sends me to voice message. It's a joke. They only have ONE phone line and everyone is out to lunch. On top of this you get only 90 days to apply and send documents from the university to them. I am trying to do the right thing and follow the rules but what about them? I will contact the NJ help line and leave record and also the consumer burrow report. They work for the state for crying out loud, there are thousands of people right now looking for jobs that I am sure would love to take theirs and would do a MUCH better job in helping.

I applied March of 2020 and received a typo-ridden letter from them September of 2021 stating that applications were online. They never checked their mail for at least 18 months, never responded to any emails or calls during the past 18 months and even now, when I had NY send over my license, they never acknowledged its receipt even after several attempts to contact them. My application expired after 90 days so all the $$ I put into sending documents, official transcripts, test scores and other verifications (even on top of the initial paper application they never looked at), I'd have to do (and pay) this all over again - hoping that this time they'll actually engage with the people trying to get licensed. For those considering licensure in NJ, look to a neighboring state because you'll be sitting in limbo waiting just to have a license to apply for a job.

I have completed all requirements for my RDA license in May and submitted my application to the dental board , Consumer Affairs said they never received it. I resubmitted the application on July 2, 2021 and was sent code to get criminal background check and that was acknowledged July 29th. Have been checking status everyday and none of my other documents were acknowledged. I have been trying to call and email the Dental board. They NEVER answer the phone or emails!!! What is going on? I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHY THEY ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOBS!

Thought it would be my first time here. Renata’s attitude is unpleasant. I was referred here through someone who WAS going here for services. First, she told me I was 15 mins late which was untrue, the current time was nowhere near. Called to schedule an appointment about a month or 2 ago and wasn’t explained the documents needed for me to have extractions done. After she blantly lied in my face about informing me not knowing I currently was on the phone with the adult who was on that appointment call with me. They don’t follow up emails or calls regarding your upcoming appointments neither. I basically wasted my money coming here and my time anticipating having this finally done after scheduling off work. The board will be hearing further of this too.

If there was a negative star I would give it. I NEVER leave reviews, but this just infuriated me. I called to see what the process was to renew my RDA license. As I was speaking the rude inconsiderate person on the other end of the line put me on hold without even listening and letting me speak. I waited on hold for 15 minutes and they kept picking up and coming back on hold. I'm sorry I didn't choose your job you chose it!!! NJ DENTAL BOARD GET A NEW RECEPTIONIST!!

If I could give them a zero I would! A dentist altered my history, failed to diagnose failing implant, bone graft, injured a nerve. Left me with permanent nerve damage on the left side of my face and the state board did absolutely nothing! The attorneys know the executives at the state board and that’s how corrupt it is! I’ve faxed them the original history as well as the altered one and they took no action against that criminal. So if you’re not a wealthy millionaire don’t waste your god damn time! Thanks Cecilia and Eisenmenger! How much were your bonuses at the cost of the pain and misery I’ve endured in the past 2 years! YouTube channel coming soon! You will all be exposed! Thank you America and freedom of speech!

I wish I would have read the reviews before making the appointment. This practice is set up to solely make money. Being I am a doctor myself I had asked to speak to the doctor twice, because I for one do not like having xrays done before being seen. Not every new patient without a complaint NEEDS full mouth xrays. Yes the insurance company pays handsomely for them. But, if a patient wants a cleaning and it is your policy that they cannot make a hygiene appointment without first being examined, (ok another money maker) you are only going to do an exam AFTER the cleaning.
Big red flags here doc.......
If you only would have spoken to me.. ..
