Suspenders Restaurant & Pub

I had a fantastic experience at Suspenders Restaurant and Pub, probably my fourth time here so that means it’s time for a review. The team, and our outstanding server David, made the evening memorable. The chicken franchise, bang bang shrimp, and Sausage Rigatoni were all rich in flavor and exceptional in quality, making it impossible to pick a favorite. I’m eager to return and try the fish and chips next time. The diverse menu and welcoming atmosphere at Suspenders truly make it a standout dining destination.

Stopped by with my frenchie pup and my girlfriend for a quick lunch. The server sat us outside.we both ordered Arnold palmers to drink(not sweetened) but it was still a solid drink. I ordered a turkey club sandwich with sweet potato fries( super crispy and delicious)and my girl ordered the siracha honey chicken sandwich with onion rings, she loved it. Overall it was phenomenal and we love the fact that they’re super pet friendly, we will definitely be back.

Been here a few times now and Suspenders Restaurant and Bar is an old time but modern, family friendly place in an off the beaten path in Union Nrw Jersey. It's a 10 minute walk from the Union Train Station and Kean University so easy to get to. The Food is reasonable price, served in a timely manner and really tasted great. I love the quesadillas and the burgers are very good too. Drinks are very good and priced just right. They have TVs and you can with or without kids just sit at the bar or you can sit outside which I love to do when the weather is appropriate. With a friendly owner and service staff, great tasting food and some really great drinks, I recommend that you check it out when in the area.

I had no idea that this great neighborhood bar and grill existed.
They had a large outdoor deck, and even larger outdoor covered area, one for drinks and another for sit down table service, but these last two were not being used the evening we went as there weren't many customers and it seemed like they weren't staffed to support it that day.

We sat on the deck and and enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks with our friends.
Service was great with quick refills of our drinks and ensuring that everything was good with the food.
Looking forward to going back here again

If the minestrone soup is available, get it. The best I have ever had. Bang bang shrimp is a delightful second course. Enjoy!

Its got a great little town pub-type feel. It was a weekday so it was really relaxing. The food tasted great, this was called the mistletoe burger. Applewood bacon, cheese, carmalized onions, fig which was an interesting and sweet tasting, with garlic parmesan fries. Wife had tacos!

Delicious new menu! Great service! Love love the new tater tots with cheese and bacon appetizer! And the Greek Salad Delicious..

This restaurant has become a staple of Union, NJ. This establishment accomplishes everything they are aiming to accomplish. Local good food and a great environment. Ask for Mateus!

I love a good burger and that smash burger, they have is deeeelish. There wings are also good. It reminds me of Cheers, where the locals come in grab food and a drink. Very diverse group of people as well. One guy like my "Dad" shirt I had on while with my little one. We will be returning.

Their nachos were delicious!!!! I asked for chicken instead of beef, minus jalapeños. strawberry Margarita was AWESOME!

Used to come here all the time before having to move back to FL due to the pandemic. Staff was always great. Customers were all very welcoming. The one dish I miss and I will get it when I visit again was the Veggie burger. Always recommended this place, always will recommend it to people visiting near union or living there

One of my favorite spots for lunch around 12pm to 1pm. I always order the Suspenders Smash Burger through the Chow Now app and it’s always ready within 15-20 minutes. Love the atmosphere when I do dine in. There’s a lot of space for parking and there are TV’s with sports channels and a bar that’s usually always full with other hungry customers and a hard working staff. Definitely recommend!

Stopped in to eat after passing by it. What a great choice that was. From the wait staff which was great to the food that was amazing, the burgers were hand made and delicious with every bite I would recommend this place to eat anytime and especially during sporting events because of all the TVs.

This place is absolutely amazing, the food, drinks, staff and the atmosphere of the place. From the first day I stepped into this restaurant/bar I was welcomed with warm welcomes from the staff and from that day forward I’ve been coming to this place for about 10 years to which I like to call my home/family. The owners are very nice and always are looking to change and spice up their food menu and drink specials to which I very much enjoy! I highly recommend the wings, nachos and or the burgers very delicious, but everything on the menu is very good let’s be honest. You won’t be disappointed coming to this restaurant!
