East Side Mags

First time visiting this store. Recently just got back into collecting comic books. This is definitely one of the coolest shop. The store is very neat, organized, and cleaned. A great display of new comics and well organized back issues areas. From graphic novel books to toys. East Side Mags has it all. Today I found the missing Shang Chi issue to complete my collection. Happy customer.

Nice store tons of comics great selections and a few PSA slabs , Also has a few action figures DC and Marvel, Pokemon , Funko pops and others. The owner is really nice and helpful so go check them out while in the neighborhood .

Great comic book store. I have not been in too many, but this one was the best. The owner was super nice and willing to help in anyway. Made some suggestions based upon my interests and pointed me in the right direction. Lots of cool things in this store which is clean, neat and organized. Was not the only to share the same views since this place has been the voted the best in their category 3 years straight. I would go back.again.

Great up to date selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. Owner really cares about comics and the community. Love that they host classes for kids as well.

Great selection of comics and action figures. My kind of store. My only issue, the signing line is too slow. I kinda felt that the staff should have a bit more kept the line going and of all the lines I waited on, this one was a bit tiresome. I would definitely come back though.

There is a reason that East Side has won "Best of Essex" multiple times. Amazing owner and staff, strong community presence, and ample selection of product. Go there now.

Love this place! Old school comic shop vibe with new school owners. They always have things going on in the shop from stand up comedy to comic artists signing their work. Prices are very fair and management is warm and welcoming- ready to bug you out with you about new trends and comics!

This place is fantastic! It gives a New York feel right in Jersey. Great selection of books and the owner Jeff knows EVERYTHING about comics! I will be going back asap

This is one of the best comic book stores I have ever been to. They seem to know everything about any question you may have about a comic book or series of books.

Lots of Vinyl Pop Funko Characters, special action figures and more. They offer events throughout the year such as having the artists in store, classes and even sometimes have local bands perform in the store on special occasions. They even sell original artwork from local artists that fit in great with the store and definitely a comic collector’s home.

Jeff and his staff go out of their way to accommodate all customers. Jeff also supports other local business, artists and musicians. If you believe in supporting small local businesses, East Side Mags is a small local business to keep in mind when trying to think of businesses to support.

The owner is a big supporter of the Montclair Music Scene.

Great shop, the new location is fabulous! Jeff is the man and he has a phenomenal staff! Expansive selection of wall books and back issues, along with all of the weeks new issues. My personal favorites are the excellent dollar bins and bundles of full arcs/runs. Fantastic shop for new readers too as the staff is knowledgeable and will lead you in the perfect direction!

Cleanest, friendliest and most accommodating comic shop I’ve ever been too. I always want to chat with the owner to know more about new recommendations, but he is ALWAYS doing the same thing with other patrons. Great to see such an ingratiating staff with all of the titles you’d want.

Great place, but a little hard to see the store before you pass the entrance. Came here for Free Comic Book Day and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a large selection of comic books and related items here.

Absolutely wonderful comic book shop. Has an enormous selection of comics and a ton of current issues. Clean, tidy, easy to find stuff. Also, there was a guy running D&D for a bunch of little kids and they were having an absolute blast, and he was doing a great job with them. I cannot recommend this place enough. Go visit them asap!

This place is awesome! I went there to pic up some comic books for my nephews for Christmas. Good selection of Indie comics. And the day I went, Patrick Wilson, who plays the Ocean Master in Aquaman was doing a signing. The staff is so nice and helpful.

These guys are great. They always, if available, say hello to everyone that walks in to make you feel invited. I just wish I had more money to spend because it’s the type of business & atmosphere that you want to support so they can be around for a long time. Wish they had Warhammer 40k stuff but I don’t always have the money for that either. LOL

They have a great art / drawing class there every Saturday for kids. Two different age groups: around 10:30am & 12:30pm for about 45-60 minutes. Two of my kids go there. Highly recommended. The teacher is wonderful and loves kids.

First time visiting this store and will not be my last. Well organized, well lit, and clean. Staff was very friendly, and easy to speak with. What is great about this store is all the different events they offer. They have a Saturday drawing class, and sketch days. Just a cool comic book store.

This is definitely one of the coolest comic shops you can find. They have an INCREDIBLE selection of backlog comics, trade paperbacks, OGNs, and independent and local comics. The staff is super friendly and offer great recommendations, and have really done a lot to make their shop super welcoming and easy to navigate.

Their new space is a fantastic fit for them and I simply love walking around the shop. I can't recommend this place enough!

Came here for the first time a few months ago off of the recommendation of a friend. This place is amazing. They have a great selection and a logically pleasing product layout. Staff are friendly and helpful. For a kid who has always loved reading comics, this place rocks!
