El Imperial Restaurant

Food was great.. Food was brought to us rather quick. I brought my wife here because she wanted to have authentic Ecuadorian food for Mothers Day.. First time here.. She is Ecuadorian by the way. Food was delicious. The restaurant isn't the best looking in the world.. But it was colorful and went with the Ecuadorian theme. It isn't a restaurant like a high class restaurant that you would feel the need to get dressed up.. But if all you care about is the food and service.. This is a great choice. The price for the food with that quality and quantity.. Is worth the trip.

The food tastes homemade, very delicious! Customer service was excellent. I would definitely go again if I'm around

SOOOO GOOD!! I got the Guatita (beef tripe with peanut sauce, rice and plaintain) and humita (Ecuadorian corn bread). Everything, including their house hot sauce, was so flavorful and authentic. I got Ecuadorian Horchata, which I learned is actually a pink herbal and floral tea drink served cold - so refreshing and delicious, will definitely go back!! Got some empanadas to go!

i love the food here but their place is so small, we always have to wait long for a table

This restaurant has some delicious Ecuadorian food, the Encebollado de pescado is mega wow delicious, the tortilla de platano is great, the selection of bread is great I wish they had yagualocro.

The best encebollado in Newark ! Hands down . We have went everywhere in Newark and this place never disappoints. I would suggest you get there early , there is a wait do to the restaurant being small, however they are very humble and accommodate you quickly.

My wife and I stopped in real quick while waiting for our LYFT .Service was quick. We ordered beef and chicken empanadas. It came with this special sauce which was awesome. The beef empanadas were the best we've ever had. Chicken was good but not as good as the beef.

Food is great and it is very tasty. The only thing that i didn't like as cus of that i will not take a star is the chaulafan isn't with salchicha but it was still good. The guatita is so delicious the caldo de bolas and encebollado are very good as well.

From an insider prospective, having had the pleasure of providing services for El Imperial. The owner and staff are very friendly, the location is clean and food is very good. They where a pleasure doing business with.

The food was off the hook I got salchipapa which is great for the kids, I also ordered chaulafan that was also good , the sopa hummm,
