AzucaR Buffet

Really good food at a reasonable price. We came for lunch and everything was delicious. Could have used hot sauce on the table and bigger napkins but this place is definitely 10/10 and I've eaten at many Latin food places in many locations. This is one of the best.

Azucar is a really nice place. I love how everything is well organized and the employees are really nice and welcoming. Their food is so good and delicious, I love how the tables are all organized and there is space in the middle. I would definitely recommend going to Azucar 5/5 stars.

Delicious food and great staff! We ordered food for two people and had enough for two meals! I called them to say what a great job they did. Cant wait to go back

Tucked away gem serving latin buffet with plenty of seating.

AzucaR Buffet feels very new and is very organized, there are only a handful of parking spots in front, the closest spot to the restaurant is handicapped. It also has a ramp up to the the front door if you have a wheelchair.

I really like the sign out front backlit with pink neon and another small neon sign, it felt very welcoming.

Inside has a large mural painting on the wall and you will pass through neat rows of tables and chairs to reach the counter in the back that has several display cases for their food.

They have a fresh orange juice press!

They are not specific about the country or origin of their food only to say it is a Latin Buffet but I sensed there might be a specific country judging by some of the small touches evident in their food. This might be to appeal to a wider audience within Latin America.

Let's start with their preparation of Avena (oatmeal) - it's wonderful but maybe not what you would expect. I'll call it a warm shamrock shack that has mostly melted and it is delicious. It's thin, milky, sweet and served in a coffee cup with lid. You can literally drink it and had me thinking why not ditch the morning coffee for AzucaR Buffet's oatmeal.

100% stopping back for this. The last time I had a similar preparation was on my daily walk to my office on 7th Ave and roughly 26th Street and that restaurant was Cuban.

I also tried the rotisserie chicken, potato salad, and empanadas.

All were very good, the bean empanadas were really tasty. The preparation of the beans, similar to the oatmeal was beans ground down into a liquid like paste, maybe the consistency of mayonnaise, cheese was also combined which had a similar consistency and it was very tasty.

So this wasn't just some beans and cheese slapped together, a ground up preparation that was delicious. Hard to tell but I think the outer shell may have been fried but was nothing special from the outside. Not overly bready either.

I noticed the potato salad had hot dogs in it which I have never seen. It was tasty and again had me thinking was this a preparation specific to a country or just a house style or handed down recipe.

Rotisserie chicken was good for sure but I can't say it was above and beyond other rotisserie chicken as they all taste great to me.

On their menu they mention Columbia and Costa Rica so maybe this is the origin of these flavors.

Either way I am a fan now.

They do have regular/america breakfast sandwiches which I did not try because why would you if visiting Latin America.

If you cozy up to their display cases you can select from any of the hot dishes and they will assemble into a take-out container and I believe the cost is by weight.

This was only my first visit and there are many other items on the menu to explore.

I used this restaurant for catering today and not only did they deliver on time they brought plenty of food for 17 people very good quantity and the taste of the garlic chicken, beef fajitas, rice and beans and plantains was exceptional. I had a budget and they worked with me and provided me a very reasonable cost too. They are friendly and service oriented and we will certainly order from Azucar over and over . Ask for Angela she is great

Excellent service in general, the very delicious food and the desserts even more, the attention of the best that I have revived at Summit and all very attentive to the customers.

Came here for a quick lunch and the food here was delicious! Service here was excellent with very friendly staff, and the restaurant overall is very nice!

Amazing local spot with great tasting pastries and baked goods. Good lunch buffet selection. Super friendly staff. Staff speakes spanish but never had a problem understanding what I wanted. Good fresh coffee as well. Check out their doughnut looking cheese pastry (pandequeso).

First time there drove by and picked up some empanadas beef & chicken it was delicious. Can’t wait to go again. Gracias ☺

Interesting concept with a restaurant and buffet in one! Order both at the counter and stay to eat in or take to go.

The buffet looked good and was the popular choice by locals. You tell them what you want and they put it on a plate and weigh it to pay.

I opted for a burrito with steak and a salad and hot sauce on the side. Just what I needed post workout.

I also had the tres leches cake and it might have been the best that I’ve ever had! The cake portion was amazing and the topping / milk cream was to die for. Would definitely go back just for dessert only!

Also, 4 local police officers came to grab food when I was dining in. I feel like that’s always a good sign for a business as the officers patrol the city and have probably tried many place but came back because they enjoyed AzucaR.

I love this place! The workers are very nice and the food is delicious and authentic. The restaurant is very clean and the food is always fresh. I recommend the ceviche if they have it! Coffee is great too.

One of my favorite NJ restaurants! They have amazing mouth watering meals. I can never decide what I want to try. The food is always fresh and seasoned to perfection. The staff are so nice and patient! One time the ran out of empanadas and offered on the spot to make more. Made my day! If you haven't eaten here, you're not enjoying life at its finest 👌🏾

DELICIOSO!! They saved my Christmas Dinner. I ordered lechon a week before Christmas and they were the only restaurant who was able to fulfill the order. They were a 30 min drive but I was so happy they accepted my order. I was even happier when I had the first bite. My whole family loved the lechon. What personally surprised me was that they called me after Christmas to ask me if I was satisfied with the order. It was my first time ordering from them and they’ll definitely be more times! Their presentation of the catering box was also good! Thank you!

I've driven by this place a million times. Finally decided to go in and give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. I had the fish with rice, beans, and vegetables. Everything was hot and fresh. It filled me up and the prices were very reasonable. They had a large variety of desserts too. I'll try one next time. I will definitely be back!

We love the food here. Tried their catering for a group of 20 yesterday- everything was delicious! Ordering and pickup were a breeze, food was ready on time, and everything packaged well. They even called the next day to ask how everything was. Will definitely continue coming here and will likely use them again for future catering needs. If you need their catering menu, just call and they will text it to you.

Came here for the first time on 5/19/23. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious 😋 Can't wait to try more items on the menu.

Great place, great food!!

Very good food and service to match. So far I had the chicken in garlic sauce, arroz con gandules and potato salad, that was delicious. Went back and got the chicken soup, colombian chorizo and empanadas and pan de bono all were really good. Place is very clean!

Not only was their food delicious, but they were super friendly and answered all my questions with kindness. I passed this place a while ago, and I knew that I wanted to try it. I didnt get the opportunity to stop until today, and I'm so glad I did. Super fresh, tasty food and at a good price! I had a decent meal and two pastries all for less than $10. Will definitely continue supporting this business when I'm in the area!

This place has delicious food. You can order off of the menu and you also have the option to order from their daily buffet. They have great food options. I particularly love their salmon, bbq ribs, stir fry meats, and stew like meats but everything is delicious. They have nice dessert options too. I always take food to go but I do see some people dining in. There are a few parking spots in their lot, otherwise you can park on the side of the street if you find parking. The staff is nice and friendly. Prices are decent too.
