Barth's Market

Barth’s is a spectacular establishment. From the butchers to the seafood guys to the prepared food team to the cashiers - the service is remarkable. And of course the food is phenomenal. Barth’s made our Christmas dinner memorable and throughout the year, Barth’s is our “go to” place for both special occasions and everyday meals. Quality of all types starts at the top. Kudos to Max and the Barth family for continuing a tradition of excellence. Buying food at Barth’s is much more than an ordinary shopping experience - it’s a visit to a friendly neighbor. I’m a newcomer to Barth’s but can see myself becoming a regular. Barth’s has an extensive selection of prepared food, fresh lunch options, and (of course) deli meats.

From my few visits to Barth’s I can say that the entire market feels and appears very clean. I’ve personally tried the Jersey Boy breakfast wrap (10/10), the Italian sub (8/10), and a few of their prepared sides like their macaroni salad and bruschetta (both 10/10). Barth’s is about 20 minutes from me, however their quality prepared food and large selection of fresh meats makes it worth the drive. My only wish for them is that they would carry wild caught salmon- they only have farmed.

All in all, if you haven’t heard of Barth’s or stopped in before, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some new prepared/take home options! Great quality food for reasonable prices.

I recently discovered this delicious market that'll be sure to be one of our new faves. The prepared foods are high-quality and they have an excellent array of fresh produce, specialty items and full-service deli....my hubby loved their scalloped potatoes...absolute deliciousness.

Great selection of meat and produce at this local store - we looked the ribs and burgers.

Incredible store with ultra high-quality meats, cheeses, freshly made food and other grocery items. Small space but plenty of helpful staff. The meats we purchased were absolutely perfection as was the chicken pot pie. Prices match quality.

Great to have this old school butcher as a go to in Morristown New Jersey area! Consistently have great traditional German frankfurters, Weiswurst, ribs, lamb chops as well as a great selection of other meats!

This is a lovely market. Fresh yummy foods and excellent service.

Nice small specialty grocery with friendly staff. I like the German grocery items and the locally baked bread selection. I often buy the fresh salmon and it is delicious. Deli sandwiches have been great. I'm glad this is near my home.

This is the dream spot for anyone who wants outstanding beef, pork, lamb, veal--and fresh seafood.as well. My grandfather who was a German butcher would give it 5 stars-and his standards were tough. Be warned, it is pricey, but the quality of the meats, the competence of the management, the skill of the butchers and support staff makes the prices seem like a minor issue.

I've been going to Barth's for decades. I still remember the first time hitting South St and smelling the smoked meats several blocks down. It was great when I used to have jobs in the area but now still make the 45 min trip to go there. Their short rib burgers are awesome along with any of their smoked meats(actually everything). I have a great butcher close by but when I want that special cut or burgers I make the trip. The staff is great although some of the butchers can be a bit short but never rude, this is due to the amount of customers so I can understand. If they have the cooked short ribs I suggest getting some

I’ve been to quite a few Butchers in NJ and this place is one of my favorites. High quality meats, one of the cleanest/best organized shops I’ve been to, and excellent presentation. My only complaint is I wish they carried spare ribs (They only carry baby back).

Steaks are fantastic. I would also recommend their home-made pastrami. Their fish department is top notch: the cod there is outstanding.

This is a great, almost boutique, food mart/butcher shop/deli/fish market, short order, bakery, etc. They have almost everything you need, and very little you don't. The quality is high, and yet the prices are reasonable.
They are very COVID aware, and have a "senior"hour every day from 8-9 am. Parking is easy, in the street or in their lot. I recommend this place.

Hidden gem! This market has everything you need to make dinner, or pickup already made and bring home. Everything is homemade and delicious. The sausage, butcher counter and deli meats are all outstanding, as is the produce and baked goods. Get there early to pickup a homemade pie!

The best butcher shop not just any problems, but in many of the surrounding towns. This is the go to place if you're getting ready for that cookout or family barbecue. The staff are very knowledgeable, I can give you great advice about preparing the meals, and they also have a good selection of prepared sides to buy and carry out.

Hands down the best place! Amazing quality. From fresh meats, to fresh produce, to homemade cold cuts, salads, and prepared foods. Some things can get pricey, but the quality is always there (i.e. "you get what you pay for")

Newly renovated Barth's Market is not only a very good butcher shop but it also has great prepared food. Their homemade hot dogs are delicious. There are entrees and side dishes for complete meals and it's very tasty food.

Barth's Market has a very good and fresh stock of meat and seafood. Have been a weekly customer for the past one year. Never disappointed. Although, must say I liked the look and feel of old shop more than the new.
