Luso Restaurant

I've been to this restaurant twice now, and I do plan on going back. The waiter was helpful and friendly, and overall, his service was great. Everyone was attentive. They have phenomenal customer service. Especially the gentleman who was serving us the different types of meat. The food, the food is always delicious, cooked to perfection. The pickiest eaters, the children always enjoy their meal as well. A great experience overall.

This place was a home run! Party of 9 ate like kings and queens with drinks for $600. Staff was amazing and food was perfect. All cuts of meat were cooked exactly the way it should be cooked. Seasoned well and tender. The only warning I have is not to over do it. I still have the meat sweats.

Back in the 2000s the rage were those restaurants where you had these wooden placeholders with green on one side and red on the other. They would bring you meat until they closed or you gave up and told them to stop. The price was reasonable, and if you had the fortitude, the experience was one of a kind. Now that I am older I am very particular about what I put in my body and the types of cuts that are worth putting in. So when we found out about Luso which has an all you can eat (meat) option, I was ready to give it a try again. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is helpful and patient. The food was great and memorable, I would like to go here again if it wasn't that far out in Long Island. They also have other entrees that I would like to try in the future. Definitely worth going to for the price.

Big portions, family style sides. Everything was delicious, from the bread and salad to start, to the beautifully cooked entrees. We ordered the Porterhouse and Spare Ribs. Steak was huge, and ribs were plentiful. Both tasted great. We’ll be back

Easily one of my favorite restaurants! I craved their food and literally ate here once a week when I was pregnant with my daughter. Everything is delicious, but the rodizio is a must! The staff is so sweet and accommodating! I’ve also done larger celebrations here and it was affordable and a total 5 star experience!

My first time here, and I’d definitely be returning here lol omg we had so much food and it was all very delicious! Me and the wife and kids and in laws went to today for dinner. Reservations were done same day and when we walked in exactly at the time we reserved; we were seated right away big plus being with kids. Very spacious location and very clean restaurant. I love the layout and awesome customer service provided from the waiter to bus boy to the owner herself. I love when people pay attention to detail and are always checking up on the table regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Our waters were always full and our food was delivered in a timely fashion. We order a porter house steak, whole chicken, grilled shrimp and made our own family style dinner for everybody to enjoy. As an appetizer we got sausage, salad and some bread. For dessert we ordered a flan, crème brûlée, Chocolate mousse and Tiramisu. Highly recommend as a family dinner time or lunch regardless you’ll be very happy.

Luso is one of my families favorites. We enjoy the endless different cuts of meats and the red sangria. Staff is very friendly and not overbearing. They keep bringing until you say no. The skirt steak, sausage and turkey with bacon are my favorites. Rodizio is the way to go in my opinion. Try everything it is all good.

Simply the best in Smithtown. Simple yet flavorful menu, something that most places in this area cannot and do not offer. Nice staff, attentive and the most delicious sangria! Don’t forget to save room for dessert and try the decadent chocolate mousse or the heavenly whites. You won’t be disappointed 👌🏼 🌟

I had such a wonderful time I even forgot to take photos! Hats off to a traditional Portuguese restaurant, me and my family were absolutely blown away tonight. Welton was so kind and him and the supporting staff truly gave us an elegant experience. Christiano is also phenomenal! Luso’s has a lasting impression that keeps us coming back time and time again.

My family and I all ordered the rodízio (the rotation of meats) and it did not disappoint. Afterwards, we helped ourselves to desert all of which was fresh, tasty, and in perfect portion sizes after a hefty meal. Word of advice, come hungry! We will see you again soon, thank you!

Love this place. Tje BBQ is soooo good. I love the collard greens here, I would eat them everyday if I could, I don't know what they do to them to make them so perfect.

Always delicious! Never had a bad meal here. We always add on a side of beans and vinaigrette, plus they have the best fries anywhere!

One of my favorite places. Portuguese food! Grilled chicken , fried, rice and beans. Salad ! And their famous hot sauce. Perfect dinner.

Love places like this. The rodizo option is not for the feint of heart so pac yourself accordingly if you decide to take on the challenge of an all you can eat meat feast. The service and atmosphere are very welcoming and I couldn’t ask for a better spot to celebrate my bday in. Would be happy to bring my business back here.

Having returned from Portugal earlier this year I can wholeheartedly confirm Luso is the real deal. Phenomenal flavor, authenticity, and attentiveness. Will return no doubt, what a treat!

Have been going to Luso since they open, food is great very consistent, service is outstanding and the restaurant is well decorated and beautiful layout. The owner Luise is an excellent host she always approaches the table and asks if we liked everything we will always go back to Luso when in the mood for great Portuguese food.

BEST RESTAURANT ON LONG ISLAND. I WOULD EAT HERE EVERYDAY IF I COULD.
