Country House

The country house is cozy beautiful restaurant with amazing food, wines and staff. The chicken cordon bleu is amazing, the best I have ever had. Second favorite would be the eggplant rollatini with angel hair pasta. The Atom Cabernet and Chardonnay as house wines are so affordable and absolutely delicious at just $40 a bottle. If you choose a martini you will have never had one larger at any restaurant, these martinis are more than worth the price. In December the decorations are unreal like a Christmas fairy tale, but it’s also their busiest season so consider trying in October when it’s all decorated for Halloween or maybe February, Valentine’s Day at the Country House will be a night to always remember!

Don’t listen to the negative comments. People are just miserable. First of all this place is amazing! The atmosphere is so cozy and gorgeous and the service is excellent. The food is out of this world. It’s worth every penny you pay. The staff is very friendly including the owner as well. We come here often and it never disappoints. The cordon blue is the best! The fried calamari is incredible, the pork chop is off the chart’s delicious. Many dishes too many to mention are all so delicious. I will highly recommend this amazing place to anyone. It also has a really cool history as well.

Driven past this restaurant all of my life and for whatever reason never made it in. We decided to check it out this past Sunday evening. The food was absolutely perfect, I mean I couldn't have been happier. The Seafood was fresh and delicious, apps were great, even the bread was perfect. Our server Zachary was on point and very nice. While my wife and daughter liked it, I'll admit the décor isn't really my speed, but I will happily deal with it for food this good.

Bob and the staff at The Country House are so very wonderful! I had the BEST tuna ever! The atmosphere is very cozy and bright. Everything on the menu is great! I go every year for Mother’s Day an each year it gets better than the last of that’s even possible. 10/10!

It was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The food was delicious and the service was superb! Wendy was as sweet and funny as could be with a stunning, warm and genuine smile. She helped to make our girls' night out a sweet success!!

Wonderful restaurant. Great food and decor. If you ever get a chance to talk with the owner, you will hear a great history about this wonderful establishment.

All i can say is Perfection! This review is long overdue. I have had two events here, My daughter's Bridal Shower in May 2021 and my Mom's 90th Birthday this past week on July 9th 2022 and both events were incredible. Bob the owner of the Country House is amazing!!! First I will begin with his attention to detail, from the way the tables are set with the beautiful fresh flowers is gorgeous. At both of these events the food was suberb, so fresh and deliciously prepared. One of our entrees which was one of the choices for both of these events was salmon. My guests have told me they have never tasted salmon as delectable as they have had at the Country House. All of the food is so outstanding and served beautifully! When giving a party, there are so many things to think and worry about. If you have it here everything will be perfect. I have also been to the Country House for dinners and some of their special events and every time we come it is the ultimate dining experience! Food is always fantastic and dining here is always an experience with the beautiful way it is decorated! Also I must mention the cakes at my events. Bob and his staff make the cakes and they are not only beautiful looking they are incredbily delicious! At both of my events the cake was served with chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream, cheese cake and brownies and other delectables all on one plate and each person gets this. Your guests will be amazed. All of them could not believe each person was served this. I have a photo of the dessert with my review. Also Bob and his staff are so helpful. His staff will help you bring all the gifts to your cars at the end of the event. All I can say is when I want to have any kind of special dinner or event, my first choice will always be the Country House!

Be kind this holiday season! We had a mix up with our reservations but the owners were so kind and apologetic and did what they could to make it right! Things happen and this is their busiest month so we understood. The decorations and Christmas atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie! So gorgeous! Just be prepared to spend a good amount as it’s a bit expensive but the food and drinks are worth it! My only advice is with this day and age, use the technology the world’s been given! Update the menu online and use online reservation sites! But this is from a Gen Z so typical from us LOL! But yes we will be back again next year and are already excited !!!

Everyone enjoyed their food. Only complaint was the eggplant rollatini. Menu said they had a vegetable plate for vegetarians but it wasn't available.

For years now, we've made the Country House our family Christmas outing. We generally have between 12 and 15 in our party. This place NEVER disappoints. The holiday menu is limited, but not lacking in any way. I've had everything on it, I still can't pick a favorite. This year, I had the Abominable Snowman salad to start. My entree was the crispy and delicious Half a French Duck. Ce Va? I'd like to say the best I've ever had, but I've eaten here before. Maybe last time was better, but the Country House is the place to celebrate holidays.
Maybe just come for the food.

Anniversary dinner was extraordinary! Food, service and ambiance. The restaurant is top notch. Bob does a great job. Well worth the trip, no matter where you come from!

Meet the very personable Bob, the man who runs the place! He is a total gem! He is so sweet and truly caters to his customers. It felt more like Home than “house”. Their food added to the ambiance with delicious “home style” “home cooked” meals. The killer tomato soup warmed my soul and the buttery brisket soothed my bones. His pumpkin cheesecake is frikken AWARD WINNING !! I don’t even like cheese cake but the insisted his was different and omg was he right. I’ve been day dreaming about his cheesecake since. It wasn’t dense or heavy at all! It was so light and airy and didn’t put me in diabetic shock. Overall, 100% would go back and recommend to friends and family.

I cannot say enough good things about this magical place! This is by far my favorite restaurant on Long Island. Intrigued by the ghost stories, I was lucky enough to go here first at Christmas. The decor puts the North Pole to shame. The staff are unbelievably friendly and professional and always willing to share a tale... or two! Went back for Valentine’s Day and was again impressed. The filet is fantastic and I recommend any dish with the short rib bolognese. And, if you’re lucky, “Annette” might even stop by 😉

Food was excellent, atmosphere was stunning, I was so impressed with the entire experience, it has become one of my all time favorites. Morgan our server was courteous, knowledgeable and so accommodating. He was fabulous. Bob the owner was personable and a delight.

The food was melt in your mouth delicious; amazing chef, best crab cakes ever!! However, our waiter was pleasant in the beginning and near the end of our meal; not so much.

My wife and I had a very pleasant evening here Tonite. The restaurants atmosphere was very relaxing and dining in a historic home made it special. The staff were helpful and very nice. We had the shrimp cocktail which were very fresh and large. I had the roast duck which was very tasty and prepared very well. I highly recommend coming here for a nice romantic dinner.

Such a lovely environment, delish food, decorated place, fresh flowers..lovely owner, Bob, and excellent service. Place is haunted with friendly spirits... who do not bother you unless you are interested in saying "Hello". I had the beet salad and shrimp cocktail. Coffee is delish!!!

Went here with the family for my moms 87th birthday. Had a great time! They made my mom feel very special. Good people and good food. Thanks Country House!
