We've eaten at Michael's for special occasions and have always had an incredible meal. We visited most recently for a tasting for our wedding menu and to say this exceeded expectations is putting it mildly. We worked with Stephanie to create the menu and did our tasting with Michael (the owner!). He went above and beyond for the whole thing. He sat with us patiently to go over our questions and ideas and then brought out amazing food. Honestly can't even explain how delicious and fresh each app and entree was! After, Michael sat down again to go over selections and explain the pre wedding process and just get out feedback. It made all of us feel important and special. He was approaching dinner time and never made us feel rushed or bad. Amazing restaurant and caterer!!

They do a fantastic job here! Very great food, service, and beverage selection. It is priced fairly. During COVID I went and felt very safe and they were very clean and considerate. I would recommend this place to my friends and family and will definitely continue to go back! I also went during an anniversary and they were so sweet by surprising us with a glass of champagne!

Unexpectedly a delight. Compares to any NYC establishment with similar price range. In fact better. Warm and light atmosphere with exceptional staff and most importantly a superb menu for an Americana palette. Italian to Seafood to Steak. Salads are crisp, fresh and prepared with what can only be described as passion. The best surprise was a Utica staple - a Chicken Rigatoni with more attention to detail than you'll find anywhere in the state. Bravo.

Very nice for Valentine's day..special menu. Room upstairs for special events. It was all very tasty and we'll presented. Servers attentive.

Michael's catered our wedding reception for about 100 people and the food was fantastic! The quality of the food was amazing. We did a tasting with them beforehand and Stephanie, the coordinator, was attentive and always made sure our needs were met. The owner, Michael, is a very nice guy, also attentive to our needs to make sure the reception meals went off without a hitch. Easy to communicate and talk with. They were very accommodating to allergies. The range of meats, vegetarian and vegan options, the catering chef was knowledgeable about all that good stuff. My biggest hesitation with catering for most weddings is that sometimes the food can be dry and not fresh by the time it is served. That was not the case with Michael's. They made sure the food was fresh, high quality, and moist the whole time. It was a big hit with the guests and with me. A side note: Michael's has been doing the catering for years for the local colleges to feed millionaires and billionaires for reunions. And if those guys love Michael's, then you're in good hands lol...

Michael’s catered our wedding at Hayloft on the Arch last month, and let me tell you… Our guests RAVED about how delicious all the food was. From our very first meeting with Michael at our tasting, it was evident how invested he was in bringing our culinary vision to life, and how much he valued the quality of the food he put out. Stephanie was so kind and very on top of our communications with scheduling, menu planning, and place setting layouts - simply great to work with. At our wedding, everything from the charcuterie display to the main entrees was perfect. We chose to do a plated meal service for 140 guests, and all the food came out hot and was SO good. The staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodated those who needed some extra love :) The bar service was superb, too. HIGHLY recommend choosing Michael’s for your catering service!

Michaels fine food and spirits was an incredible vendor to work with at our Wolf Oak Acres wedding. From the beginning with the personalized tasting menu, where we had full control over ingredients and details, to the end when the perfect meals were served to all of our guests, it has been a dream in terms of catering. The menu was delicious and versatile, the staff went above and beyond to make the day perfect and make sure we had hot food on our table when we did finally decide to sit down and eat, and our guests continue to report back that the food was some of the best they have ever had at a wedding! Also they are a business that truly cares, and immediately reached out after the wedding to ensure that they followed through on all they promised. I HIGHLY recommend them for any and all of your catering needs!

Came here for a birthday celebration. Everything was phenomenal - the wine, the appetizers, the food, and the service! Can't wait to go back.

Excellent service. New menu recently, so still exploring the food options, but everything we had was excellent. An attempt at craft beer oriented tap list is decent. Wine list looks more exotic though we didn't have wine on this trip.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch experience at Michael's Fine Food. The service was great atmosphere lovely. We met Michael and he talked about some changes that had been made inside the restaurant. It is one of my favorite restaurants and we will definitely be going there again soon. My husband and I both had the mushroom stew which was superb and I also had a bowl of the French onion soup which was just delicious! We just love the atmosphere and the fine staff!

Michael catered our wedding and did in outstanding job!!! We could not believe the quality and effort put into making the entire menu from drinks to appetizers to the main dinner taste amazing and flow flawlessly. His team worked so hard from day one with us. We brought a lot of allergies to the table including gluten, dairy and meat and Michael made food that everyone could eat. All our guests were WOWED by the food and raved about it. The staff was so friendly at our wedding and really made us feel so supported and cared for. Michael is so talented and he truly is an incredible chef and event caterer. We would use him again in a heart beat. We strongly recommend Michael’s, you will not regret it!!! The BEST!!!

Cater your wedding with Michael’s, you will LOVE it! Truly incredible food! So many of our wedding guests complimented on how amazing the food was. Some of our guests said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! Personally, I agree, the food was so so good. The best part about it is we got to pick what we wanted and they created a menu for us. Most places give you a list to choose from for food, but not Michael’s because he can do ANYTHING you want! Highly, highly recommend for your catering needs!

Where to begin? The service was beyond exceptional! Super friendly and helpful. No problem for folks with food allergies. They made our anniversary dinner very romantic, with candlelight, a nice table, and lots of special treatment. We got to meet the owner, Michael, and he was so nice. I Highly recommend this place. Delicious food and amazing portions.

They give you a personal touch on everything the do. The food and service are amazing.

Excellent in every way: service, ambience, food and value. When I made reservations I was asked if it was a special occasion and shortly after being seated we were served complimentary champagne. We were there 2 years ago and had a similar positive experience. I don't understand the couple of negative reviews I saw online yesterday. It's still the same stellar and special restaurant.

07/23/2022. Wedding at Windrige Estate Red Barn 20 catered by Michael's. Michael's is one of their premier caterers. Spectacular would be a more appropriate description. As Father of the bride, and having been in the fancy food industry for 41 years, I was more than impressed. It's all in the details is the expression. Michael's takes care of every single one. An unusually hot day in Cazenovia and they made sure everything was crisp and delicious. Passed appetizers were on ex-large platters so the staff weren't wasting time. Multiple bar tenders so guests aren't waiting for drinks. Plenty of staff too! No supply chain issues here. You get what you pay for. The quality of the appetizers, salads and main courses was compatible if not better than any 5 star restaurant. Michael's also uses the finest local talent for deserts. We had a couple of guest on special diets. Michael's identified them and made sure they were attended to. I give Michael's the highest possible recommendation for any affair.

Wonderful place, they have taken my number one spot for chicken riggies, the chicken shredded perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Atmosphere was very nice, overall a great experience here, have nothing but good thoughts about here.

Amazing Experience! Michaels catered our wedding at Hayloft on the Arch, and we could not be happier! All our guests raved about their amazing menu which they allowed us to make completely custom. They were great throughout with communication and tasting appointments, we would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

10 stars in our book! Michael's catered our wedding reception and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. First the food, wow! From menu planning to the tasting to the reception everything was perfect! Michael and his team are just the best to work with and they took such a genuine interest in making sure everything was perfect for us. Secondly the staff, again wow! Not only was everyone on top of their game and beyond helpful but they were smiling the whole time. The servers went out of their way to make sure my bride and I had food, drinks and checked back to see if there was anything we needed. Even when there was a slight hiccup with our venue Michael was there and ready to help providing alternatives, suggestions and anything we need. For someone to be so vested in our event speaks volumes about who he is as a person, chef and proprietor. We can't wait to get back to the restaurant for some more amazing food. Don't even bother looking for someone else, definitely 100% go with Michael's!
