You'll work your butt off, but you'll have fun doing it. Unlike cross-fit, you move at your own pace, at your own level. But, you'll always be challenged, encouraged, and welcome.

Micks Gym is unlike any other gym. Whatever your physical condition, you feel welcomed and motivated to do more. Dave is like your personal trainer motivating you at every workout. I love how you just show up in the morning and go. I’ve been hooked for 3 years.

Great place to workout with great people - and it all starts with Dave, the owner. Dave is very encouraging and motivational, no matter what your goal is. That motivation and encouragement is carried on by every member of the gym, which makes for a fun gym environment. Workouts are posted daily and are always challenging and never disappoint!

I met Dave while taking his Bud/s workout class at Hilliard Darby. Then after graduating high school and going to college I stopped working out for over two years. Then I remembered that Dave opened a Gym after retiring for Darby and sent an him email. Now for the last year I have been coming here and love every second of it. This gym and the environment the owner fosters was the place I needed to be. Growing up and weighing 300 pounds, I had severe anxieties in and around gyms in general. Though I entered this gym at 180 and in significantly better health than the owner, and my ninth grade health teacher, I only ran and did absolutely no weight training. By coming here regularly for several months, I now have demonstrable progress in my strength and see differences. For instance, I have never been able to do a single pull-up; I can now do 5. Perhaps most importantly, those anxieties I have are minimal to non-existent.

Cheers Meets Average Joe's: Older readers remember the great TV show Cheers. Mighty Mick's Gym boasts a similar atmosphere, without all the drinking. At MMG, "everyone knows your name" and cares about you as a person. If you've seen the movie Dodgeball, you'll understand when I say that MMG is like Average Joe's--not the fictional Globo Gym that too closely resembles a lot of popular work out facilities. Bottom line: If you want a less traditional gym experience (we do more with sleds, sledgehammers, and tractor tires than with barbells on benches) and you want a place where you feel welcome, not judged, come to Mighty Mick's Gym.

Love this place. I used to sit at a bar watching people to the workouts.. Saying I'm to old to do that.. Now it's me out there pushing those sleds in the parking lot & loving it. Dave will help & adjust the works out to fit you. I just cant say enough about this place. Its amazing..
