Kettering Health Medical Group Primary Care - Springfield Middle Urbana

This center has a very wonderful and caring staff. They are a blessing. Unlike many others I've had experience with, the doctors here see and treat their patients as HUMAN BEINGS, instead of like numbers / data on a chart or part of a head count quota to fill for insurance companies. The physicians here take a genuine interest in their patients, taking time to listen to concerns and answer questions. Dr. Sutter has been my family doctor /primary care physician for over 2 decades and he is amazing, but over the course of that time I have also had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Jan and Dr Mark Roberto, Dr. Macy, and PA Jill. Yes, there have been times where I've had to wait longer than expected, but there have also been times when I've been seen and I'm out the door in less than 30 minutes. It depends on the circumstances. The response time for returning my calls is usually no more than a couple of hours and the center even has limited walk in hours set aside for the patients in case there is an unexpected need to be seen. The office staff is friendly too. I truly don't understand the negative reviews. I realize everyone has "off days" but I have never been treated with anything less than respect and genuine concern by anyone here. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been in the health care field for 36 years, I just want to explain that family doctors have interruptions from hospitals, pharmacies, family emergencies like most people, and never know the extent of seriousness that may be the next patient. The next time your in the hospital and might be seriously ill, or one of your loved ones, be grateful the doctor takes the time to speak to the ER doctor on your history. Just think of the 85 yo that shows up to the office with sniffles and obviously has pneumonia, all the calls they have to make is crazy! So when your waiting an hour, or even 90 minutes remember it might be your loved one getting the attention needed. If by chance your that sick that your afraid that you may fall out, tell the ladies at the window. I have been going to this office for about 28 years, and appreciate all they have done for my family! They helped me when my wife died, when I was a hot mess. I have waited, yet when you leave a message, and they return your call, be nice, if your doctor is booked, ask who might have openings! Remember these doctors work more hours than most people, there families have to be interrupted all the time to take both calls from us, and hospitals. Last don’t ever think family doctors are wealthy, overhead is amazing, insurance companies deny payment, osha, pharmacy board, and a boatload of other governing agencies want a piece of the pie. As a nurse if I worked as many hours I wouldn’t be far off on the pay scale, and I went to school for 2 years compared to 10-11 years. So next time you see your doctors thank them for all that they do, remember they are human just like you. Always say to yourself what would Jesus do 😊

I absolutely love my doctor. Never had a better one. I have gone here for years!! My only complaint was the difficulty reaching a live person to schedule an appointment, but now that they are with Kettering, the new system is easy! I have never had to wait super long, even when I have been early to an appointment or late. I really love my doctor too! And did I mention that I love my doctor?

I see the bad reviews and I can understand the frustration on having to wait so long sometimes. That being said, my doctor is Kevin Macy and he will be my doctor as long as I can keep him. I have seen many doctors and specialists and all kinds of medical professionals through the years. Some good, many not. He is the best of them. He has helped me through depression, anxiety, different types of chronic pain, addiction to medication, trouble sleeping, high blood pressure.... everything. He does not dismiss anything you say and doesn't make you feel bad about doing internet research for yourself and discussing your findings with him as most doctors will. His manors are great and he always seems to be in a good mood. That can be said for most of the other staff as well. I've only had to wait an hour or so one time out of many visits. Just let them know what you have going on that day when you make your appointment so that they know if you will need to kind of be seen quickly and they will be understanding. The wait is only long sometimes because they have so many patients due to the great care they offer. 5 stars all the way.

My family has been under the care of Dr. Mark Roberto since 1985. He has been a blessing. He cares about the whole person. Mind, body & spirit. We will see no one else.
We have also been under the care of Jill Sanders PA. She is an amazing person and we love her and Dr. Roberto.

Dr lindey miller is the best dr i"ve ever had shes very smart and caring.

I have to say that I was about to leave this practice as well until my PA left and a new FNP came in and I got an apointment with her. ANGELA has been the absolute BEST!! She was able to send me to the proper specialist and I am on track to get my health back on track. She not only listened to me, but cared enough to not stop looking for answers for me. I appreciate her beyond words and have told her so!

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. After my primary physician left without notice, no one rescheduled me or helped me through the process of finding a new physician. I was placed with Dr. Jan, who would not hear my concerns and steamrolled every visit. The receptionists are rude and very unhelpful. I called to check on a prescription that was never sent in and they were very nasty and mean. They put me on “hold”, but forgot to press the button so I heard everything. Rude comments and sharing my information with who knows. Asked to be dropped as a patient immediately and there was backlash.

Horrible!!! If you want to visit a doctors office that is attentive and caring...call someone else! They overbook and make you wait in excess of 90 minutes for your scheduled appointment and then come talk to you for less than 5. The worst part is that there is no way to actually speak with someone from the office when you call. You have to leave a message and hope that someone returns your call which they hardly ever do. To get an appointment, reschedule one, inquire about something...you have to leave a message and wait for them to contact you. Do not go to this office thinking you will receive decent and hospitable care! Now, they don’t even take walk ins like they use to if you are one of their patients.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! IF you can get someone to answer the appointment line, it will take you weeks to get an appointment. I have spent most of the day trying to call and once i got through THEY HUNG UP THE PHONE! You can leave a message on the appointment line, BUT they will never call you back! The office staff is EXTREMELY rude and they leave people in the waiting room for an hour at a time with no explanation. One of the doctors (Jan Roberto) told me that the pain in my back would go away eventually. Come to find out, my back was broken! I had surgery immediately after seeing a specialist.

Long wait in lobby with no TV or music for distracion. Followed by another long wait isolated in a drab little room with no pictures on the gray walls or music or tv. I dont need these things, but if your going to make patients wait an average of 1.25 hours, you should offer something other than infomercials to pass the time! Staff were pleasant enough, but not exceptional. I found another practice with much better service and facilities.
