Had a unit on the ground floor. The staff was great (Carmen ,Sam).
Answered all my questions and helped me set up.very thorough..
Upon move out date I cleared the unit and checkout was a breeze . I would definitely store with them again when the situation arises. It was actually temp controlled .. some places advertise that but the actual spot is freezing cold…if you need a place to store- go here . They’ll take care of you. There aren’t any power outlets anywhere so keep that in mind

Sam's customer service was top-notch! She seriously went above and beyond to hook us up with the perfect unit. she was so attentive and really took the time to understand what we were after. It was like chatting with a friend who genuinely cared about helping us out. If you ever need assistance, Sam's your go-to person, no doubt about it!

We rented a storage room at 4920 Van Dam St - Long Island City where we were assisted by Carmen. She is a gem 💎!!! Super helpful, she explained us everything and showed us the space with a big smile on her face.
There are other additional charges beside the rent itself, like registration fee, lock and insurance but it is the same everywhere I guess.

Carmen and Sam made the experience of renting a storage unit at this facility a breeze! I highly recommend this location, where everything is easy to navigate and Carmen’s and Sam’s professional assistance made the experience ever so seamless and flawless.

I booked online and was surprised to learn that the unit I reserved was on an upper locker and only accessible via a rolling staircase. Unfortunately with the items I was storing the unit was unusable. When I approached Carmen and Sam they quickly assisted me providing me with alternative units that better suited my needs. Carmen and Sam worked diligently to ensure I was able to transfer my reservation to a new unit and keep my online booked rate. The ability to keep the same rate was greatly appreciated and both Carmen and Sam went above and beyond my expectations in assisting me. 10/10 stars for these superstars! Thank you Carmen & Sam!!

I went to this location looking to see my reserved storage but I didn’t realize that I reserved an overhead storage space. The woman in the front helped me find another unit that was bigger and I was able to keep the same monthly price. Thank you so much Carmen! I definitely recommend coming here. Carmen really tried her best to help me as much as she could and I really appreciate it.

I have a corporate account with this Public Storage, the service is literally second to none thanks to Sam. Sam is always very helpful, with my concerns/questions and she’s a great conversationalist. Keep up the great work Sam, I want to continue doing business with this company because you are there and an asset.

Let me start off by saying Sam & Carmen provide STELLAR 10+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service!! Managing my unit there with them was by far the best. These ladies are super professional and knowledgeable I recommend going to see them when you want to use a storage facility!

I Interfaced with Sam who is a wonderful, kind and empathetic person. She helped us smooth out the process and was very helpful from the start and made sure she addressed all my concerns. I could not recommend her more to anyone who is interested in renting a unit at this location. I will keep recommending this Public Storage locations to my friends.

I have been a customer of Public Storage now for about 6 months. I'm very surprised to find that the service here has actually surpassed my expectations. My experience in the past with other storage facilities was always good in the beginning to get you to be a paying customer. Then, the staff aren't so friendly, aren't so helpful and aren't as accommodating. Public Storage here has been the opposite. They're more friendly, more helpful and exemplify what customer service means. The place is clean, quiet and of course the staff are the oil that runs the machine. I'd like to thank Phil, Sam and all the the staff here for all your help and professionalism.

Let me start off by saying I have been a client at this location for the past 3 years and yesterday reassured me why I love this location. Carmen was very helpful, knowledgeable and very very kind. She helped me find a new unit to better fit my needs. It was a pleasure to do business with her. This facility is always clean, has covered loading/unloading, easy vehicle entry and exit out of facility, and secure. They also have several carts available for use that are great quality. I've been a customer for 14 years and have had a first rate experience whenever I've gone to this Public Storage - it's so nice having the peace of mind knowing your belongings are taken care of and stored properly. I closed out my unit today because I don't need the space anymore, but was pleased to see upgrades around the facility, including new doors and locks. Carmen and Phil turned what would've otherwise been an unpleasant, logistically challenging couple hours into an example of fantastic customer service. Highly recommend to others looking for storage options in the city. Thank you!

I am in the process of moving soon and was recommend by a friend to check out Public Storage. I came in yesterday looking for a unit I would need in about two months and spoke with Devon. Devon was very professional and helpful. He gave me a tour of the facility and advised on some really great deals, as well as merchandise available for purchase. I had a lot of questions in which Devon was able to answer, which was a relief given this is my first time renting storage space. I will definitely be back in 2 months to purchase my rental. Nothing better then great customer service!

I recently made a move from a large 10 x 15 unit to a smaller 5 x 5 one at this location after donating many items to the Salvation Army. Ofir, a wonderful employee was very helpful in facilitating our move & everything went smoothly & quickly. She was able to find us the right size unit around the corridor from our previous one & the move was great! We noticed that she is an outstanding employee who keeps herself busy taking great care of the customers & premises. We've seen a lot of improvements in the cleanliness of this location since she came to work here. A pleasure!

Jess and Lovette are the best! Have worked with hundreds of units before and these two are hands down the best service I have ever had. Thank two so much look forward to seeing you guys both again soon. Everyone should rent a unit here too and leave happy!

Wanted to recognize the great experience and customer service from Jesselyn Calderon and her team. They helped find the best storage unit, at most cost effective rate. Made everything easy. Moving is never fun- but Jess and her team made the storage part the least of my worries!

This one man show DOES IT ALL. He was beyond courteous and respectful; while I was demanding, multi-tasking and yet helped me remain on task. He had everything I needed, which I didn’t have. He was beyond patient, and today was one of my slow days. Which he even provided me with the necessary tools to complete my next task, which had nothing to do with Public Storage. If this young man is the face for your location, you’ve made the best decision with him. If he isn’t the manager, he should be. Maybe training others on customer service. His is simply exemplary! Kudos to you Public Storage for your Magnificent Employee!
