The Pointe Hotel & Suites

Check in was good and service was good. Breakfast was your normal grab and good type stuff with fresh waffles as an option. Location was good being in the middle of the city. I really liked have the small kitchen, the bedroom separate than the living room, the the view out the window was breath taking.

Our suite was very clean. Working at a hotel for a year, I was pleasantly surprised how even the hallways were clean.
I came for the weekend for a convention, and had a beautiful weekend.
All the workers were incredibly polite, and helpful.
They seemed to be very understanding and were polite with improper parking. Instead of just towing, they asked people to move. And in my experience, people usually just tow.
It's located right next to the lake, with boat docks, and kayaks to rent. Beautiful place, in a great location.
I'm looking forward to bringing my kids here.

2024- another chance as we did decide to revisit. Happy to say, much improvement, all went smooth.
2023 - There with a group of 100 or so, Everything good until checkout, room keys shut off at 1030a, maid walked into a room at 1015a without knocking, another guest had her food taken by a maid, food that was packed for her trip home. Checkout time 11a, all happened 30-40 or more minutes beforehand. Absolutely terrible

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our 10 month old daughter for the weekend during New Year’s Eve. We had a great time. The hotel is so nice for when you have kids, as they have such great amenities - kitchen, dining room table, plenty of living room space, pool, separate bedroom. Their breakfast was great!! The pool was so nice and clean. Our room was very clean and I thought it was extremely quiet. I actually didn’t hear anyone the whole time I was there, hopefully nobody heard our baby at 3am 🥴. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We were probably annoying, as we got their super early and kind “took over” the front lobby, but they were great and had an amazing attitude. I can’t wait to come back in the summer. And I’m hoping to make this a tradition for every New Year with my family.

We've moved up here this year since it seemed we were always in Minocqua anyway. What a great decision! Lovely place, great rooms, pool and whirlpool. Can walk to town. Staff is great.

We have been coming to the Pointe going on two years and the service and rooms have always been very comfortable and nice.

I've been to The Pointe several times alone and even had the same room twice. We used to visit that entire area back in the 70s and then the 80s when my own daughter was born. It's just simply beautiful and peaceful and the people are so nice! As for The Pointe, it has everything! Beauty, setting, location, bald eagles, great rooms that seemed to be pretty much soundproof except when a whirlpool in the room is running above you or below you (but I'm not complaining; I love it there!), a pool and large whirlpool/hot tub; I think they also have a sauna but I'm not sure, as I can't use them. I love the outside facilities and walking paths! Again it's just so peaceful! Directly across the bridge from the hotel is a lovely restaurant called The Boathouse. Even if you need to wait, it's well worth it! The hotel also has canoes and kayaks to rent with direct access to the lake!
I keep dreaming about when I can go back again! <3 :)

Lovely place. Wonderful views. Close to downtown. They offer breakfast in the morning, a great pool, sauna & hot tub for general use. Huge spa bathtub in my room too! It was fun watching the snowmobiles on the lake. Definitely coming back here.

We always stay at the Pointe and absolutely love it! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. With bringing both trucks and a trailer AND needing to plug one truck in at night they are always so nice about our needs!!! Very understanding and we always LOVE out room and the hot tub !!! I cant say enough about this place! I just love it! They are just amazing! I hope they see this!!

Loved this beautiful place right on the lake! Condo type rooms are spacious and decorated nicely with a Northwood decor.

This is a great little hotel with condos and suites. It does get its fair share of snowmobilers, but a well thought out layout means you won't hear the infernal machines from your room. There is also a dry suana and the pool area which is great after a long day of cross country skiing.

Absolutely beautiful and best place to go. Amazing views from patio. Rooms are in outstanding condition, you don't feel like your in a hotel at any point. Perfect place to book for a getaway and not have the fuss of hotel crowds. We stayed in a 1 bedroom premier condo and were highly impressed by the space and amenities. This is our new favorite place and was well work the 3 hour drive. We will be returning with our kids multiple times in the future! Jacuzzi and pool were warm and inviting. Rooms were spaced apart perfectly so you weren't right on top of your neighbors. I review hotels all the time and honestly the only complaint I could have against this place is the fridge was a little loud at night. Which isn't a big deal if sleeping in the bedroom with door closed, but if sleeping on pullout couch it could be a distraction. Honestly though with a noisy fridge being the only complaint this place deserves 10 stars! Kitchen is stocked with real plates and utensils. Multiple closets. Spacious area to enjoy your stay.

We have been staying at The Pointe Resort for 17 years. We request the same unit and always receive it. The staff are incredible and the service is excellent. One member of the reservations team remembers us by name, specifically my name that is a nickname. The views from our unit are breathe taking. It is so quite and tranquil. Lastly, our unit is always updated. Never once have we had a saggy bed, worn living room furniture, or out dated kitchen appliances. We would not say any where else in Minocqua.

The hotel room was super clean. Friendly staff and a great location.

I spent hours researching places to stay in the Minocqua area, and we were not disappointed with our choice to stay here. The property was meticulously cared for, the staff was professional and pleasant, and the room was clean and nicer than we expected. When our a/c unit didn’t turn on, the staff immediately found us a different room and they were apologetic even though it was not their fault. The next day the general manager “Buck” also apologized for our inconvenience, and we found him to be one of those rare genuinely nice people who are extremely good at their job and really care about others. He’s been in the business for over 30 years, and it shows.

Most places that I stay at don’t blow my socks off and most get a “meh” reaction from me. This place is nice, clean, quiet, the location is perfect, the pool and whirlpool are epic, there’s a great view of the sunset from the balconies, the rates are more than fair, and it’s run by one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met in this industry. Just do it, you won’t regret staying here. I’ll certainly be back!

Lower level is great in the summer but not so good in the winter.

Just had a 3 night stay here with a lake view room and it was phenomenal! The room was spacious and very clean upon arrival. The amenities were great and even exceeded my expectations as the kitchen had all the utensils I needed, and the jacuzzi bathtubs were in excellent running condition. The place also allows for kayak and canoe rentals (a huge plus for what I was looking for). The hotel is located conveniently just across the bridge from downtown Minocqua, and is a very short drive to the many stores in the area. Although I went by myself, this place seems like a great place to take your family on a nice lake getaway as it also has a swimming pool and hot tub near the lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back!

First time staying recently and I was pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable for location and room sizes. I will stay again in the future.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in one of the privately owned suites/condo. It was clean and very cozy. Full kitchen to buy grocery and cook. It also had an electric fireplace which was very nice. You have your own private patio and a picnic table off in grass perfect for those summer days. The hotel overlooks and sit on the water which is an extra bonus. Overall the nicest hotel in Minocqua. Staff in very friendly and professional as well.

Nice layout for this hotel and they had clean well appointed rooms. We stayed ina 2 br suite with a full kitchen, screened in porch and nice view of lake. We rented a canoe for an hour and enjoyed the lake. Members of our party also used the firepit and that was nice. The fitness center was too small for us and didn't have what we usually use for working out so we walked to make up for it. This hotel is just across the bridge from the main bars, restaurants and shopping.
