Absolutely amazing food, I had the sirloin with mushrooms and it was perfect. They have a soup and salad bar now that is absolutely wonderful, a new drink menu and of course their tap room. Absolutely amazing staff that makes you feel right at home. 10 out of 10 recommend

We've been coming to this restaurant for years now and it never disappoints! Many of the waitstaff have been there for years and the food is outstanding! It has the Northwoods vibe going with a great selection of beers for those who like beer and a tremendous menu of sandwiches and entrees. One very nice surprise we found yesterday was the addition of a salad bar, which had disappeared during the pandemic. But it is back and kept fresh and well stocked! All of the salad dressings are home made and delicious! Everything you would expect from a great Wisconsin restaurant was there and you really could make a great meal with just the salad bar if all of the other food was just not so darned good! We had the Pub Special sandwich and the fried Haddock - NOT Cod - which was done perfectly! The beer batter was light and fluffy and not at all greasy or overwhelming. It let the true flavor and texture of the haddock come through which was absolutely delicious! The Pub Special, which has always been one of our favorite items on the menu was, as usual, outstanding in every respect! Great flavor, great combination of shaved beef, onions, mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms. Just outstanding with the au jus provided that brings it all together. The thing that this restaurant does SO well, besides the terrific waitresses who make it a total Wisconsin experience with their humor and good nature, is that pay strict attention to some of the little details that separate a good restaurant from a GREAT restaurant. They heat the dinner rolls, which, to me takes some effort to get right, but they get it completely right with the crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside! Perfect! Also, another little touch that is wonderful is that, with a baked potato, they provide a sour cream sauce that has chives infused into it! Makes the final product exquisite in flavor and texture! Your glass is never empty and the waitresses are totally wonderful! If you are in Rhinelander or anywhere near, this is one of the best Northwoods restaurants in the area and shouldn't be missed if you are looking for a pure Wisconsin gastric delight!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the entire northwoods. The food is fantastic. They are understaffed, but it's not their fault and they are very friendly. We don't mind waiting because we love this place.

Stopped in to order takeout. The server was very friendly and efficient. The order came out quickly. The salad and chicken wrap were delicious! We enjoy coming to the "Pub" and look forward to returning.

Great selection of fish. Larger parties should exprect a wait, but always worth the wait. Walleye was delicious and the salmon was incredibly delicious and moist.

I was staying in a nearby hotel for an interview in Wisconsin. I was looking for a place to eat. The receptionist at the hotel I was staying at recommended me to go here. I was extremely happy, as well as my stomach, I came here!

I ordered the fresh Lake Superior Whitefish. This was the first time I had this fish. It was $20.00. I didnt expect to get 2 sides with it. I got a creamy mushroom soup with warm bread, and mashed potatoes. Everything was heavenly. I shocked myself because I almost finished everything (I left a little bit of my mashed potatoes). Everything was high quality, and all for such an incredible price.

Customer service is excellent here. I highly recommend this restaurant! If I ever go back to Wisconsin, I will come here again ❤

Excellent! I enjoyed the chicken with melted brie sandwich. I had a side salad that included olives and egg and two different kinds of cheese strips. I enjoy seeing the Hodag as I walk through the back entrance with easy parking.

Lettuce was crispy and very good. They prime rib was perfect. The servers were the best. The gentleman who was checking the salad bar was so polite and the the nicest smile while he was working. The total evening was the very nice experience. Thank you.

The prime rib and seafood platter was yummy! Enjoyed the salad bar…also got a peanut butter martini and butter beer and they were both delicious as well. I must say that the best part of our dinner last night was how awesome service was from KB. Hard to find places where servers are nice anymore, let alone actually pleasant and outgoing…and she definitely was all of that. Thank you for an awesome Saturday night dinner!!!

Service and food is usually great but it was closed for the two weeks that I was in town (April 3-14,2023)

The food is always amazing! The staff is always friendly and we always eat way too much!! It has always been one of my favorite places since childhood....

Service was a bit slow but they seemed shorthanded. The food was dome of the best I have had in a long time. We had steak. It was not only cooked perfectly, it literally melted in our mouths. Highly recommend.

The food and service were wonderful. Not only did we have a great meal, our server went over the top to help us enjoy our time spent there.
