Bucketheads Sports Bar & Grill

I traveled from out of state to finally see in person some of the places my husband enjoyed in a previous life whilst in the Marines. I am blown away by the warm welcome we received at Bucketheads, years later! I finally was able to see/touch/feel the camaraderie that my husband has spoken so highly of here at this local bar and restaurant! Everyone in this bar deserves some sort of praise, the staff in the front and the kitchen were great, the customers were friendly and the owner very kind! If you're ever in the area, you NEED to stop at Bucketheads for a quick beer and some amazing cheese curds! You can quite literally find a place this great, "ONLY IN WISCONSIN"

Came up the cabin in Wisconsin In the area to eat locally today. Neat place. Watched the first nfl draft on tv while we waited for our meals
I had a grilled chicken salad and glass of wine my table got burgers with bacon cheese. ( messy but they said it’s good)
Plenty of options on the menu.
Tables for handicap persons. And kids. Booths for those who like them. Not saggy seating. Pretty firm which was nice
Dark inside. Lots of things to look at. Different sports on different tvs
I can see this place getting loud! Arcade games
Food was tasty. Variety of salads for vegaterians. Plenty of options for meatararians. lol.
Server was nice and doesn’t bother you too much. She comes at the correct time. ( good timing on her part)

Nice place. Fairly typical Northwoods pub in that it's not a big place.

Plenty of beers to choose from, both micro and macro brew, plus lots of local area brews.

Service was great and the food was served hot and fresh.

We'll go again for sure.

I don't know who Josh is but man he has a good burger! This is a nice go to spot, they have a great atmosphere and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have yet to have a bad meal here. But seriously if your looking for a good burger stop in and try the Josh! It's mighty fine!

Had the Southwest Chipotle Wrap and it was amazing! I try and come here during the day as the crowd here at night gets a bit loud and last time I was here at night there was an argument that escalated into a shoving match, but easy, chill crowd during the day. Food choices are burgers, wraps, pizzas, and lots of fried stuff! Lots of gaming machines and decent seating

We had a pizza tonight, most definitely we will go back for another one. The staff were very nice. Thank-you for the nice experience.

Called in order. VERY FRIENDLY phone service! Stopped in at noon to pick-up order and it was not too busy yet, but the folks there were happy and conversations light and full of laughter. The bartender and the young man that took my order BOTH acknowledged me, smiled and said hello. He went and grabbed my order, took my payment and told me to have a nice day! OUTSTANDING Service and GREAT atmosphere!

The food was amazing! Quick service and great staff!

This place is conveniently located downtown in Rhinelander. The food is great. Katie and Dee are fast and friendly bartenders. I’m excited to go back.

Group of 10 stopped at 11:00 on a Sunday for lunch and a couple drinks.
Staff did a great job accommodating us. The menu is awesome with lots of options. Food was amazing. They offered fun summer drinks as well. The Bloody Mary were super. Very clean establishment

greeted as soon as we sat down, friendly staff. Seems like a good locals joint, but even though we were on the way through, people were very nice. They were out of a few drinks we wanted to try, but they offered alternatives which were still very good. good value, fast service.

First time here and we ordered the mushroom & swiss burgers and they were phenomenal! I forgot to take a photo of mine and the other was already half gone before I remembered. So sorry for the bad photo!!

Great atmosphere here and great prices on drinks. Came here for the Bucks game and the service was solid even with a mob of people. Definitely a good spot to chill

Was helped promptly after arriving, had my favorite cider on tap (ciderboys) and I had a good quality burger! Would recommend!

The Friday fish fry was great! The garlic cheddar bacon burger was the best!

Came here from out of town for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Excellent service, the pickle spears are amazing and thanks again for only giving me the spears!

Excellent food. Stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered simple sandwiches. It seemed like they elevated even simple sandwiches with quality ingredients and house twists. Maybe the best lunch I’ve had in a long while.

Great service, friendly and attentive. Enjoyed delicious nachos and taco salad with a tasty IPA. Highly recommendef.

During our recent visit to Rhinelander, WI for the Hodag Country music festival, my family and I decided to grab some food and drinks at Bucketheads. We were drawn in by the inviting atmosphere and the promise of a good time. However, our experience had its ups and downs, ultimately leaving us with a positive impression.

First and foremost, the atmosphere at Bucketheads was fantastic. The restaurant had a lively and energetic vibe, perfectly in line with the festival spirit. The decor was tastefully done, and the music playing in the background added to the overall ambiance. We were excited to settle in and enjoy a satisfying meal.

Unfortunately, our excitement was dampened by a significant delay in receiving our food. It became apparent that our food ticket had not been turned in, resulting in a frustrating wait. As a family of seven, the long wait started to take its toll, and we even considered leaving. It seemed like it could have been a disaster for our evening.

However, just when we were growing increasingly frustrated, the manager, Mike, stepped in to save the day. Mike not only apologized for the delay but went above and beyond to make amends. He not only did not charge us for the food, but he also surprised us by buying lunchbox shots for the entire table. Mike's swift and generous actions transformed our disappointment into appreciation, and we felt valued as customers.

In addition to the outstanding intervention by Mike, our waitress, Cindy, also played a significant role in salvaging the night. Despite the mishap with the food ticket, Cindy remained friendly and professional throughout our interaction. She took responsibility for the mistake, sincerely apologized, and made sure we were taken care of for the rest of the evening. Cindy's genuine concern and efforts to rectify the situation were highly commendable.

Although the initial delay in receiving our food was a letdown, the exceptional service we received from Mike and Cindy overshadowed the mishap. Their attentiveness and generosity helped turn what could have been a disastrous evening into a memorable one. The staff's commitment to customer satisfaction truly made a difference.

I must also mention that once our food finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. The flavors and presentation of the dishes were outstanding, and we were pleasantly surprised by the culinary delights at Bucketheads. The standouts of the meal were the Cuban sandwich, Seth's burger, and the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas. The Cuban sandwich was perfectly toasted, with layers of succulent roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and tangy mustard, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. Seth's burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, topped with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh veggies. The BBQ pulled pork quesadillas were a delightful twist on a classic, with tender pulled pork smothered in tangy barbecue sauce, melted cheese, and served with a zesty salsa on the side. These dishes showcased the culinary prowess of the kitchen and left us with a lasting impression of the delicious food at Bucketheads.

Considering the positive aspects of our visit to Bucketheads, including the vibrant atmosphere, the outstanding service recovery by Mike, and the graciousness of Cindy, I would still recommend this establishment. While they may have experienced a hiccup in their service on this occasion, their dedication to making things right is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. If you're in the Rhinelander area and looking for a lively spot with great potential, give Bucketheads a chance, and you might just be pleasantly surprised.
