I owe these guys a good review. They sent me an energetic, good eating asian water monitor. I had 2 bad experiences with other reptile places so i was definitely worried. The people I spoke to on the phone were great. Very patient and helpful. Also very confident and kindly reassured me that this animal was going to be healthy and eating when I got it. A week in and he's a typical baby water monitor. Thank you people at SATOO, looking forward to more reptiles from you guys.

Best and only place around to buy local for your reptiles. The staff are helpful and friendly and the store has a bunch of exhibit animals with more coming. We particularly love sparkles the piranha 😊

Great place! Very knowledgeable! If an employee is new or not sure of something, they will NOT act like they know what they don't and miss inform you. They will go ask to get you the right information! Mike Easter is a great guy and Preston is an incredible person also! Very straight shooters also EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful. NOT TO MENTION GREAT DEALS AND PRICES!! They TAKE CARE of their loyal customers! I promise! I would LOVE TO work here with these gentlemen! 5 stars!!

lovely local pet store that clearly takes very good care of their animals! I'm pretty sure all their tanks were bioactive, and they had tons of animals that I'd never even seen before in real life! so cool!!

Different kinda pet store ,better than the main chains of pet stores . No dog supplies or cat supplies

This place is one of the best reptile stores I've ever been to. The staff were super friendly and answered any questions I had. Most importantly, all of the animals had nice enclosures and looked very happy and healthy. As someone who owns quite a bit of reptiles, I can definitely recommend this place.

This is one of the only places I can buy live mice and rats for my snake. This place was in Lakewood on Detroit and needed to expand. I love everything about Satoo they are clean, they take care of their reptiles and they are kind and knowledgeable. Thanks guys!!

They've been helpful since my 1st visit. Also they have been helpful anytime I have had to call them with questions. Update over a year later and he's healthy the people at the store have continued great business and I would recommend to anyone that's looking for or has reptiles to go here.

Had a wonderful experience buying my Crested Gecko here. I have no previous experience with reptiles or tanks, and the employee Alex was very passionate helping me get started and practically did all the work for me. He helped me pick out a bio active tank and built it in shop from scratch, and even showed me how to mist it. Definitely coming back to the same place if I ever need anything.

After I accidentally crashed my flightless fruitfly culture from Petco, I picked up a fresh batch here. It's been over 8 weeks and that same culture is still spitting 100+ new flies a day for my hungry little frogs. I haven't done much to keep the flies, best culture I've ever had. The employees are knowledgeable and eager to share without being too "teachy" or over explaining. I'm experienced with herps but also new to keeping a specific toad species and wanted real guidance and advice and they nailed it. Bioactive enclosures/vivariums throughout the store, this seems to be their specialty. All the animals seem super well set-up, happy, and healthy. The staff do not appear over stressed nor bored like most pet store employees, which leads me to believe their animals are not being kept at an unreasonable stock/volume. We even saw plenty of uninhabited enclosures in the slow "set-up" phase which says to me that they take their time to do right for the enclosures' future residents. So many unique little ones for sale, their Jerusalem crickets/camel spiders are next on my list. I did buy a dead culture of springtails 2 months ago but I knew it was a fresh culture when I bought it, they were honest and the price was very fair, and I blame the lackluster on the super high temperatures during shipping, not the sellers. Neat little place, an ethical replacement to Parma Pets. Miss them but their invert enclosures always had fleas and mold and their snakes were sickly so good riddance. Total gem of a place. Will be back often.

They have a wild selection of things I didn't even know you could buy like black widow spiders and albino scorpions. This is a really rad place 10/10.

Why goto a big box store where they don't even give proper care advice when Satoo is around?! These guys are the experts in the area. I trust that my pets will be healthy when purchased here. Just brought home this beautiful bearded :) my son loves it!
3 yrs later adding to this, new location is huge! Bought an adult leopard gecko to add to my collection, shes a sweetie. Can't reccomend these guys enough!

Never been but have bought two animals from them In the last month and I’m thrilled shipping was easy they made me feel comfortable with online purchases will be returning for more critters soon

After MUCH research we drove 2 hours to visit Scales and Tails so we could purchase a baby bearded dragon. Both of the men that helped us were very friendly, and knowledgeable! The store is clean and all the reptiles are very well cared for! We highly recommend paying them a visit for all your reptile needs!

Really nice place, all the animals are well kept and in clean environments. They have everything you need as well as a very knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend going here for your reptile supplies!
