What a great slice of nature in a busy part of Mentor! This is a newer park that was just created a couple years ago, but it is definitely a great asset. The park has around a mile and a half of nice level paved walking trails that meander around a pond, reclaimed wetland area, and grassy mounded areas. Whether you want to do some walking, birding, or just relax and enjoy a little wildlife by the pond, this park is perfect for those activities. The park has plenty of parking, a few picnic tables, and portable restrooms. When I visited the park I saw around 30 mallard ducks, and it was relaxing to stroll along the paved boardwalk that goes across the pond and watch the ducks take off and land in the pond. I would also feel very safe visiting this park alone since it has houses along 2 sides of the park and trees only at the perimeter and generally has good sight lines which made it feel much safer than walking alone in a wooded area. Since the park only has large trees along the perimeter, be aware that in the summer you won't find any shade and will need sunblock. Hopefully some more benches will be added to the park in the future. Also, there was quite a bit of trash in the reclaimed wetland area, so I hope that gets cleaned up periodically as I imagine loose items would blow across the property and collect in the wetland area which is a lower elevation.

Possibly my favorite park in Mentor. Large open areas with paved paths for walking around a central pond. Plenty of dog walkers year round with a new pavilion and playground. This place will only get better through the years.

Love the minimalistic vibe of this park. It is the perfect park to walk, jog, rollerblade or ride your bike if you are looking for a simple, easily accessible, park. It also has a very nice playground for the kids.

This park was so much fun while I was there we saw like a lot of animals like an otter and baby geese (I was not expecting to see an otter but I'm not complaining) also it's a really nice place to walk because it's all paved

The trails here are nice for a short safe walk. The pond is good for fishing and it's just beautiful. I can't wait for some of the trees to grow for more shade.

Great park plenty of parking great paved paths. Pretty scenery. Has picnic benches too. Pretty view on boardwalk. Could use some restrooms and a Pavillion or playground.

This park is beautiful. It has a pound for fishing. It has hiking trails. It has a building for parties that can be reserved. Inside (actual) restrooms.

Fishing is pretty good, great for taking the kids. It's catch and release only here. Nice to see the playground and big pavilion as well. Could use some more structures and some shade. Lots of good photography opportunities of wildlife too. Only downside is since there's no trees, there's no windbreaks, so the wind blows fairly hard and the fountains in the pond will spray you pretty consistently if you're close to them on the banks or the boardwalk.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to walk and get your exercise. The playground area for children is perfect. I'm so happy to see pavilions going up for a bit of shade when needed. However, two suggestions I may offer are; 1. more trash cans are needed because daily as we walk we have been seeing litter blowing around. 2. Also, people are not coming prepared with bags for dog waste, it would be nice to have signs posted to remind people. We have noticed dog waste along the trails in the grass.

Park is absolutely breathtaking. Took my grandsons there for the first time to fish. They are already asking when we can go back.

Noticed this park for the first time on my way home and had to make a stop. Super nice get away from the busy road it sits on. You almost forget you’re in the middle of Mentor. It would be nice to see some seating along the paths so you could sit to enjoy all of the birds that are around. The ‘boardwalk’ through the fishing pond was awesome and a nice touch to set the park apart. Plenty of parking and tons of space for additional projects to make this park even better!

Springbrook Gardens is Mentor's newest park. This is a 50+ acre facility with 1.7 miles of paved multi-use paths as well as a large pond with boardwalk. The park was dedicated in April 2019 and is a work in progress. Visitors can expect to see additional improvements in 2020.

I was visiting Cleveland and needed a place to run some miles. Thank you Mentor for this gem of a playground for runners, walkers, cyclists, strollers, and fishing folk. I will use the park in the future for return runs in Ohio. The trails are paved, there is only slight elevation, and bathrooms available.

For people that are un-impressed...This is by no means a completed project. Among the first big things will be a large pavilion built for year round use. Restrooms, small kitchen, fireplace. Not sure about benches but I like the idea. contact the parks and recreation people perhaps. I like what I think the park will become. Right now it is rather stark.

It's a great place for walking. And they have a wonderful pavilion there.
