The Boulevard Tavern

This is the epitome of your awesome local spot! The servers are super attentive and friendly. The perch really is the best in town and the beef tenderloin sandwich was seasoned perfectly. I like the mix of Mediterranean dishes on the menu….this is what gives local spots their character and uniqueness. As for people commenting on parking, they might be better suited to one of the numerous chains that have massive parking lots. This is a neighborhood gem so park on a side street and get some steps in.

Had the 3 piece fish dinner as did my husband. The fish was done perfectly, and the tartar sauce is excellent and does not over power the fish. The carrot cake which we split was delicious, but for the price of 9.99 pretty small. They do offer complimentary coffee with it but we didn’t want any.

If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than this restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the stage for a wonderful meal. The decor is classic and manages to be comfortable and inviting.
But it's the food that really steals the show. We tried the beef shawarma, the burger, and the wings, and each dish was more delicious than the last. The beef shawarma was perfectly seasoned and tender, with a side fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful, served with crispy fries that were perfectly salted. And the wings... well, let's just say they were the best wings we've ever had. Perfectly cooked and coated in a buffalo sauce that was just the right balance of flavor and spicy.
To top it all off, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and she made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We also appreciated the attention to detail, like the fact that our drinks were always topped up and the table was cleared promptly.
Overall, we had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-notch, and we can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a five-star meal, this is the place to be!

Really delicious food - something for everyone! My parents love the fish, I had a burger that was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to try more menu items. :)

We don’t come to the Boulevard often enough…Every time, the food is fresh and filling, without making you feel too full - the service is impeccable - & the bar here is just absolutely stunning! DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BOULEVARD!

I am not a big perch fan but these guys knocked it out of the park. We also got a side of wings that were also very good.

Great food! Had an awesome time with friends. The perch is amazing, the wings are HUGE, and all of the Moroccan Cigars are similar to kibbie if you've ever had it... Overall, will go again for fillet night on Thursdays. They are closed on Mondays (so says the handwritten sign on the door)

My husband loves Lake Erie perch and we make a point to try it in as many restaurants as we can. Boulevard has, by far, the best perch we can find in the Cleveland/Akron area. Cooked perfectly, not over-breaded, seasoned nicely and served with delicious tartar sauce, fries and slaw. I saw other reviews that said the fries were soggy, but it wasn't the case for us. In addition, they have some pretty special drinks. Honestly, I think the Jalapeño Margarita is the best cocktail ever! Breanna, the bartender, is pretty cool too. She is friendly, attentive and sure knows how to make this margarita to keep you coming back for more!

Loved eating here for lunch. Fish was outstanding. Service was equally as good.

Edit- this place is realllllllly good. So glad I found about their perch and also their other food is good too I heard. I can’t wait to show my dad. He will like the perch. My girlfriend is vegan and she loves the perch. The head chef is very friendly. He visited our table and talked to us and everything, but mostly talked to my gf.

First time in and really enjoyed it. Good service, and they aren't kidding about how good the perch is. Food seems homemade and came out quickly. Can't wait to go back!

Best Fish Fry around!!!
Great Service and Food!

Good Friday fish fry. Nice batter, fries and a generous portion of creamy cole slaw. About an hour wait on Friday night but it is a good bar too so the wait doesn't seem long. We'll have to try it during the week to see what the crowd is like.

Everything was delicious. The fish and tar tar have a different hint to them, extremely good! The grilled chicken salad was huge. Very nice decor.
(Not wild about the coleslaw.)

This is a neighborhood bar. It has neighborhood bar food. If that was the end of the story it would get you three stars. But that isn't the end of the story. The food they put together was terrific. The wings, the fish, the burgers and the shawarma were all very very good. I feel a little jealous of the people who live in the neighborhood and have this close to their home. The staff was excellent. The atmosphere was lively and I appreciate the fact that the bar closed early. When I'm back in Akron I am absolutely going to make a point of having dinner or lunch here again.

I honestly can’t believe how good this place is every single time I go. They are the definition of consistence and excellence.

we went into boulevard on a lunch date and we came out with full belly’s and a new favorite spot! our server took great care of us, she was very quick and attentive. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and ate every bite! the hummus was so silky smooth i don’t know how they do it! the man’s got the socratic burger and when they say that burger will change your life, that burger will CHANGE your life!!! the feta cheese spread on top with a slight kick from the peppers, man oh man. it was the best burger we’ve ever had! he paired it with the fresh fattoush salad to balance with the savory burger. it was a solid 10/10 lunch, my compliments to the chef! we WILL be back!!!

Absolutely delicious!!! Stopped through on our way North on a whim and the service was wonderful, food was excellent 👌 if we're ever back through we are definitely coming back.

i came here for the first time two weeks ago and have been back three times since. like everyone else, including my ex boyfriend, i love the perch. but their homemade falafel is unbeatable alongside the fattoush. even though we broke up, it’s important to mention my ex loves the socratic burger and has gotten it twice. his dad is going to love this place.

the owner is fantastic and the chefs girlfriend was lovely. i genuinely love the food and the vibe this place has to offer.
