Markus is an excellent server. She is very good and attentive at her job. I had the PO Boy fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly. The coffee was made hot and fresh. The Venice Cafe shares the space. The restaurant is eclectic with a 1940 mural on the walls, it is perfect for a college town. I like this restaurant with its southern fried food and atmosphere.

My wife and I drove 55 minutes to this restaurant. We heard about it in a Gluten free group. She had the Gluten free Oyster platter, I had the Oyster PoBoy. They bother were amazing. I know it was a seasonal menu, but I was impressed with the PoBoy. Most places put a powerful sauce that overpowered the taste of the main ingredient. This was poetic, and the artists have me begging for more. Bravo!!

Every time I eat here I am amazed at how great the food is! Always delicious and hot. The lobster bisque is the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried many offerings- all are top notch! Whatever you order you will not be disappointed!

Erie Street Kitchen has been my go-to dining spot for years, and every visit has been consistently delightful. While I haven't explored the entire menu extensively, I stumbled upon an item that's so incredible it has become my perennial favorite.

The gluten-free Nashville Hot Chicken is an absolute masterpiece. I can't resist ordering it at least 2-3 times a month. The chicken is perfectly cooked, tender, and succulent, and the gluten-free breading provides a delightful crunch. The heat from the Nashville seasoning is just right, adding a spicy kick that leaves my taste buds dancing with delight. Depending on who's manning the kitchen, I've learned to request some extra Nashville seasoning on the side to take the flavor to the next level.

In addition to the heavenly Nashville Hot Chicken, Erie Street Kitchen offers another dish that never fails to impress: the goat cheese balls. These little spheres of joy are a divine combination of creamy goat cheese and delectable jam. The contrast between the smooth, tangy cheese and the sweet, fruity jam is simply heavenly. OMGoodgravy! Best place ever!!! There was a 40min wait across the street so we wandered in, sat immediately, had the BEST French Toast I've ever had, FANTASTIC service, and wonderful drinks! This now becomes our #1 stop while in Kent!!!!

I enjoyed the “southern taste” that 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 provides! I ordered the grilled chicken 🍗 + shrimp 🍤 jambalaya that’s accompanied by whole green beans and hush puppies. The food was prepared pretty quickly and I enjoyed every bite of it. Next time I’ll have to try the tenders, lobster, and po boys they have as well. Certainly good eats! 👏🏾

What happens when there are more than a few things you want from a menu? Just order them all and hope for the best. And order them we did at Chef Jeff Crowe at Erie St. Kitchen in Kent Ohio. We ordered, in no particular order, Lobster Roll, Deviled-Eggs, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Goat Cheese Balls Cajun Cheese Curds. With a. Side of Cardiologist. 🤡. All of it was elevated from “bar food” by the care that Chef Jeff and his staff put into the prep. Located in the historic Venice Cafe in Kent. This should be a “must try” on your destination food trips.

I love the style of food with a good mix of southern and Creole. I had to update this review as I have eaten here a few more times and I continue to find new favorites on the menu. The fried plantains have been amazing each time. Also, the boiled peanuts were awesome. This is the first place up North I have seen them and they sure didn't disappoint from what I'm used to in Georgia.

Dined here 4/1/23 amazing offerings for gluten free! Atmosphere is vintage college campus. Staff was friendly, thx Kendall : ) We will be back!

Last week I had the fried alligator and today I had the burger it was all really good i especially loved the alligator I wish it wasn’t seasonal I definitely recommend coming here for a good meal!

Had Po Boy Perch, it was very good, close to New Orleans style. Note this is two business in one location, need to get beer from Venice Cafe.
Play pinball or pool, and enjoy the vintage smoked walls decor from the 1970's!

Very good southern style food! The Jambalaya was excellent! Tons of gluten free options. Amazing desserts. A somewhat casual setting inside a bar, but the food was great! Fried green tomatoes are so good. Worth the trip!

The crab cake was delicious and huge! I also enjoyed the lobster bisque. My husband got the lobster poutine. The "gravy" was the lobster bisque. It was also delicious!

The jambalaya and the Reuben were excellent! Fried green tomatoes were delicious as an appetizer too!

I truly cannot recommend this restaurant enough. My grandmother is incredibly allergic to gluten, and it can be difficult to find restaurants to accommodate that. At Erie Street, she can eat almost everything.

And as someone who doesn't need to adhere to a gluten-free diet, the food is still delicious, and I've had a great experience every time I've gone!

Terrific restaurant with an excellent AND tasty selection of GF food. Slightly awkward arrangement where all alcohol has to be paid separately at bar (Venice Cafe, in same space) when ordering food and alcohol. Can sometimes get really really loud when all tables are full and music is blasting, to the point that you can't have a conversation at your table (around 7-8pm - not talking about college crowd, but family crowd). Nonetheless, huge range of drinks, and seriously the best GF bread (on sandwiches) that I've ever been able to find. Highly recommend Bahn Mi sandwiches!

Great food here! My new regular order has been the lobster roll- big chunks of lobster! They serve the Connecticut style lobster roll here. The Connecticut version is served warm with just lobster and butter while the Maine version is typically served cold and dressed with mayo-I like them both but prefer the Connecticut one, which is hard to find in the surrounding areas.

The food was amazing and the service was quick. I had the Lobster poutine which was on the featured menu and it was so rich, flavorful, and delicious. The Lobster mac and cheese was also delicious. Both dishes had plenty of Lobster as well! not like other places that usually try to skimp you. Both items were on the more expensive side of the menu, but well worth it.

We also had the crab cake appetizer which was good, but it was only 1 for what seemed like an expensive price, and the key lime pie which was average, but still a nice treat.

Definitely will come here again and try some other items!
