Taco Tontos

I had Barbacoa Tostadas and one of the chef’s specialties. Both were delicious and had some of their secret mild and spicy sauce on display. Apparently one of the chef’s handcrafts a new meal for their menu each month. So feel free to give them a try. My own folks loved them. Just remember to add water when ordering.

Don't let this small space fool you. They are pumping out some great unique tacos, burritos, and bowls. All the food is fresh made and delicious! Go check it out! You will love it!

This is the best place to eat in Kent. Their specials are not to be missed. The margaritas are all double pours and the mixes are made in house. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have vegan and vegetarian options for basically everything that they make. Portions are more than enough to satisfy the most voracious appetite. Best value in town! Don’t skip the enchiladas!

11/10 taco place, and I know my tacos. I wouldn’t say I’m picky but I know good food and this place sells it. I went in and a dude named Chris was so friendly and helpful, and not in a fake way. He was genuine and I’ve really never had such a positive experience anywhere else. The another guy Troy was also super friendly and helped us too. I was given some menus and the food was surprisingly cheap, and after a few bites I can say this is by far the most well thought out burrito I’ve ever had. Real flavors, fresh meat, the rice was awesome, the queso was A+. I will be back a lot of times, if I’m lucky. 40 minute drive was worth it, I recommend this place to everyone. Like, I’m still thinking about this whole meal and I will for several days haha.

Everything is delicious. Great vibes and service. Street corn nachos, chorizo queso, and the special Zorba burrito is all amazing. 10/10

I don't think I could explain how much I love Taco Tonto's in Kent with words. This place is so great and the vibes are always immaculate. The employees are friendly and cool and the menu is... Well.... It can be daunting if you've never been there before! Every staff member I've ever talked to has been incredibly helpful and answered every question with ease.

If you've never been to downtown Kent, there are endless parking places and parking lots all within walking distance.

The interior is a pretty tight squeeze and if you don't do well with a lot of people and it's a busy time of day I would suggest ordering ahead of time!

I am vegan and there are so many different options. I think that the vegan seitan is my favorite that I've ever had. I always do a burrito bowl but they run some pretty great specials not only for their brunch but periodically throughout the month too! I suggest following them on Facebook because they update almost daily.

Some other must tries are the vegan queso, the vegan sour cream, and the citrus cilantro sauce! Their guac is also amazing.

It's in downtown Kent on the street that closes down for DORA and I can honestly say there's nothing better than a beautiful summer night eating Taco Tonto's on one of the many many picnic tables and then walking by the river.

I have loved this place since I was a little girl. So happy to see that it’s only gotten better over time. Huge shoutout to the employees I saw tonight, Chris and Troy. They were incredibly kind and attentive, but this is not unusual- I’ve always had such a positive experience with their staff. I don’t know where they keep finding these golden retriever-like employees, but well done! The food- absolutely superb. So deliciously prepared, it’s downright sinful in the best way. The margaritas are always fantastic, too. But the main centerpiece is their house made sauce. I’m almost certain that the secret ingredient HAS to be crack because I can’t stop eating it. It’s amazing. It’s divine. I could wax poetic about it, but I’m sure you’ve stopped skimming my review by now, dear reader. The entire takeaway you should have from this review is to RUN, don’t walk, to this restaurant and enjoy some of the best burritos you’ll ever have in your entire existence sold to you by literal angels.

Excellent lunch and dinner spot. Very good burritos for a very respectable price. Good selection of drinks. Great especially during the summer when you can go outside. Would especially recommend things with potatoes, they're done well here.

Great place to get a burrito. Service always seems a little slow, but it's worth the wait. I think they are just a little under staffed!

What a fantastic establishment. Kevin, the owner, is top notch. It was my first time there today, and the experience was fantastic. Kevin was sure to thank us for our business, didn’t hesitate when we wanted to make changes to our meals, and was sure to let us know when we got free refills. You can tell that Kevin is in this business to create a great guest experience and not just to make money. Best burrito I’ve ever had in my life. The ingredients are well mixed together opposed to being layered. Will most definitely go back.

What a hidden gem this is!! I absolutely LOVE Taco Tontos. They’ve been around a while. The staff is excellent. Food is delicious, fresh, filling, perfectly priced, and has unique twists. THERE ARE VEGAN OPTIONS!!
Kids quesadilla is very large, the baked burritos are phat and delicious, tacos are also (obviously) highly recommended!
It does require parking a short distance and walking up to the restaurant (worth it!!) Bathrooms available for customers. Limited seating inside, there is outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this restaurant is handicapped accessible.

Best food in Kent hands down, awesome people making awesome food. Have a hard time eating anywhere else! Fantastic craft beer selection, always cold and always refreshing!

Such an amazing selection of options for tacos! There are many delicious options on the menu, plus an almost overwhelming a la cart list of ingredients. Plus a few always inspiring daily specials. They have a wide selection of beers, cocktails, and ¡Mexican Coca-Cola!

Excellent food and bar drinks! Love the place but it's a tad too small so if you hit it at the wrong time and are planning to sit inside you may have to wait a bit for a table but honestly it's worth it.

We ordered the Walking Tacos, a kids burrito, and an order of queso. It was SO good. And very generous portions (especially on the kids burrito).

Again and at the original location in Kent, Ohio... like an out of body experience. The establishment is much smaller than the one in Lakewood but just as amazing! Had Pineapple salsa and chips while we awaited our Tacos and Chicken Burrito.

This place is definitely a local favorite. It has amazing food and wonderful drinks. It is very small and popular.

My wife and I love eating here. We love their burritos, chips and guac, salsa and their homemade "hotsauce" is the most amazing stuff I've ever had. If you love good burritos and you haven't eaten here yet you are truly missing out!
