I had a Mini-Cooper repaired by Northwoods. It was a difficult part to find but tech representative, Roni diligently searched and found it. Thanks to Dustin, the mechanic who repaired our car and returned it in clean condition free of grease. I would highly recommend their repair service to anyone!

Where to start....hmmmm.

Brought my 2017 F150 in for a diagnosis on a random misfire. Turns out my cam phasers and solenoids were on their way out. Timing set was getting close to replacement mileage also.

I was recommended to them by a buddy and I could not be happier with how this all transpired.

I walked in and was greeted with a smile by Roni. Great communication and compassion was my first impression of her. I expected that to be all but throughout this situation she was stellar!

Dustin came out and I took him for a road test and explained the symptoms and the maintenance I had previously done before this started happening.
Dustin listened to everything I had to say and we even shared a few laughs during the discussion.
Scheduled the repair and a few days later left with a free loaner to still be able to get around.

2 days later get the truck back and all was well. About a week later it started running rough again. Called and went back in for a diagnosis. Turns out 1 of the new phasers had failed. This didn't bother me as nothing is always perfect from the manufacturer.

We scheduled the warranty repair and I again left with the loaner.

I had a snowmobile event on the 18th of February and forgot my helmet in the truck.
Roni had John go to the shop...on a saturday...and get my helmet for me! I was floored and yet again impressed. Thank you John, that made my day!

Got the truck back and it is running better now than the last 2 years I've owned it.

These folks excell with communication, honesty, compassion, and overall service to their customers. Their warranty they have is also the best in town without contest!
I can't think of a time I had a new to me shop experience and was left with nothing bad to feel or say at all.

My wife on her journey to Ontonagon Mi. ended in Rhinelander when her trusted 2011 Subaru overheated a few miles from Northwoods Auto Tech. We left the vehicle and Service Mngr. Roni went to work diagnosing the problem .Communication was excellent, wish this place was in our home town as this would definitely would be our repair shop. Thanks!!

We were towing our travel trailer with our F150 on our way back home to north-central IL from Eagle River, WI, when the water pump on our truck failed and stranded us several miles out of Rhinelander. We got connected to Northwoods Auto Techs through AAA and began talking to Roni about what could be done to get us into town and get the truck fixed (we didn't know it was the water pump at the time, just that there was coolant everywhere). Roni helped us arrange for a tow to the shop (which was no small feat because of the travel trailer) by giving us the names of some dependable, local tow companies, got our truck looked at later that day, got us a loaner car from the shop, and helped find us a room for up to two nights (because at the time we didn't know how long it would take to get it repaired). She went way above and beyond any amount of customer service we have experienced from any shop anywhere else ever. She clearly sympathized with how we felt being stuck hundreds of miles from home while trying to juggle all of these things. Roni was truly amazing for her help and did an outstanding job explaining the issue with the water pump, belts, and other components that would need to be repaired or replaced. She was also very clear and up front about costs, discounts, and going over the warranty services since they are part of NAPA. In the end, their estimate was a good one for the work they anticipated, and they even came in under the original cost once the situation was fully assessed.

John was the technician who took care of our truck. He had it in the garage and diagnosed within 2.5 hours of being dropped off. His diagnosis was spot on, even to the extent of being able to salvage one of the belts (it was less than a week old) so it didn't need to be replaced, thus saving us some money. We were also concerned about whether or not the engine was damaged from overheating, but John said he saw no signs of that, and when we drove the truck back to IL we also so no signs of damage, loss or power, concerning sounds, etc. I was also concerned about whether or not there would be any coolant smell from the mess in the engine compartment. Roni assured us that they do their best to wipe everything down. We smelled nothing all the way home (even outside of the truck). Basically, they had us on our way as good as new in 24 hours. That is amazing considering we were an emergency repair that came at them out of nowhere on a Monday morning.

From making an appointment with Roni, to getting my van serviced and getting a detailed report on what has been done and why and a progress report of cost and work. Down to the detailed report of what upcoming repairs and or routine maintenance needs to be addressed in the future and then paying at the end of it. Roni and your technicians are all amazing! If I could give you all a better score I would. Thank you for all of your hard work, kindness and dedication to helping us get our vehicle fixed and road worthy again!

From the moment I first walked in the door, they did everything possible to fix my jeep as soon as possible. They kept me will informed of what was going on and what the cost was going to be. Staff is top notch and I high recommend them!

While traveling from Georgia in our Sprinter motorhome the check engine and ABS lights came on. Northwoods Auto Techs was the only shop within 3 hours of Land O Lakes who would work on it. From our first call until payment for their work, Roni, Christina and Dustin were professional, knowledgeable, understanding, helpful and caring. Being 1200 miles from home, they knew the predicament we were in and managed a way to fit us into their loaded schedule and got us up and running again. I echo all of the other 5 star reviews and would also give more stars if I could. Thank you once again Roni, Christina and Dustin-there's a special place in heaven for people like you.

Northwoods Auto was willing to take on a vintage British sport car with difficult service issues that even the OEM won't touch. After specking with Roni ( outstanding customer support) I felt comfortable leaving the car for an inspection of the problems. Northwood was able to ID the problem and with Roni's help was able to track down the correct parts for a complete repair. Even though I don't live close I won't hesitate recommending Northwoods to anyone and I will continue to bring my vintage car back for any and all service needs.

They were so helpful throughout the whole situation. They provided a quick, thorough diagnosis, with pictures. Because it had to be fixed at the dealership where we purchased it, they kindly let us keep it there and then helped us load it onto a trailer. I appreciate their help and honesty with our situation. We would definitely give them all of our future business.

We are new to the area and had been working with another mechanic. We had an instance of noticing a ticking from our traverse and believed it was the timing chain. We were told from the other business that it was normal wear and tear. My husband ended up stranded and the engine ruined because this was incorrect. This is what prompted our switch and I can say I was BLOWN away by Northwoods auto techs. The inspection was so great, it was very nice to have the green yellow red ratings of things. It's nice to have a warning of the yellow issues to prepare it will need fixing in the future. RONI WAS AMAZING!! she was so knowledgeable and polite. We got our car in and fixed in the timely manner and the work was superb!! I have been recommending you guys to everyone. Thanks for all your hard work! It is noticed!!

What a fantastic business! I am so impressed with Roni at the front desk. She truly provides some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. She is personable and makes the stress of auto repair so much more manageable. The auto techs are honest and forthcoming and provide super helpful diagnostic visuals and descriptions.

This was unexpectedly a great experience. I went here because of the great reviews expecting them to be totally overinflated, and was shocked to find they are actually really really good. On top of great prices and friendly knowledgeable service they also had a loaner car. Our car was too broken to drive and the fact that my husband could still get to work while they were fixing it actually brought me to tears.

Ronnie was very helpful, and she worked to get my sister's car in the shop quickly. The shop did a great job inspecting the vehicle, and they made recommendations that were backed up by explanations. I also appreciate them only charging me for the actual time for diagnostics. Really appreciate the assistance!!
