Awesome place, private cabins with lots to do: horseshoe's shuffle board. Tennis or pickleball . Boating, fishing, jet ski's. There's even a bar down at the dock!

Update - we stayed for a fourth year in Cottage 8. Had the same great experience as last year. Grounds and cabins are immaculately clean. Overall, a wonderful place to get away.

We stayed for a week at cottage #8. Beautiful deck in a peaceful setting with a view of the lake. Lots of wildlife around the lake - bald eagles, herons, cranes, loons...

The entire resort is surrounded by woods adding to the ambience for a perfect Northwoods getaway.

Cabin was neat and clean, and recently updated. Owner was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking and offering suggestions for nearby attractions.

Bar and game room offer an enjoyable way to spend an evening.

I just realized I never reviewed this place- we stayed in Fall 2021. Super affordable, great place to stay! Awesome to be able to pay for a motor for the boat that’s provided. The cabin had everything we needed, clean and a beautiful property. No negatives at all to this gem of a place! Also our favorite place off the property is at Beachcomer Lounge- adorable and good food!

This was our fourth trip to Brekkes. Wonderful family owned and run resort. Perfect getaway. Close enough to attractions and at the same time far enough to be quiet and relaxing. The Brekkes are great, and the cottages have everything you need for a great northwoods vacation. We will be back again for sure!

I travel the country remodeling stores and in the 6 years I've been traveling around, I have never stayed at a place like Brekke's. The Cottage was spotless and the location was beyond beautiful. This place come highly recommended for anytime you can get away.

What a great vintage resort. I wanted my family to experience what I did every summer growing up. My wife and kids had such a great time.. They had everything you would need for a Northwoods getaway and more. We will definitely be back. Thank you Brekke family

My wife and I stayed over Memorial weekend this year, this was our first time and this resort could not be any better what a northwoods feel just what you would hope to expect. The family that runs this resort could not be more welcoming and treat you like part of the family. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, The resort is well kept with plenty of amenities to have fun. After a day of fun they open the rec house to wind down your day have a drink and laughs. Best place to stay in the north woods and we can't wait to stay again,. Thank you, Brekke's!

I selfishly have not left a review before because we loved going there every summer and I didn't want to miss out on a cabin. Now, Not many of my relatives left to visit in Rhinelander. Very welcoming, many families come the same week every year and their numbers are ever growing. It's a nice evenings to sit in the bar or beach and listen to them catch up with the other families. Fun on the lake, thanks to all the things provided- each cabin has a place to dock a boat. The cabins are a nice to retreat and rejuv with all the amenities. Check out their FB pictures.

I haven't been there in 42 years. My parents used to bring me there every year as a teenager. Great memories of fishing and hanging out. Ron and Carol were great owners and I'm so glad the name is still there on this beautiful lake.

Great place! While some of the cabins could use updating, you are paying for a rustic cabin vacation in the northwoods. They have a bar which serves pizza, gameroom with a classuc tabletop Frogger. The owners were phenominal, you can tell they were infested in you having a good time. Every cabin gets a boat on a great fishing lake. Motors are very affordable if you want the upgrade. They have kayaks, paddleboats, and peddleboats. About a mile from town. Just a great overall stay.

I loved this place! the owner was amazing I went here last year and we loved talking to everybody we are already planing are next 4th of July next year my little brother found his talent for fishing and I found mine for paddle boarding. and I got my first Walleye Thank you so much for a wonderful time but with the lake watch out for all the fishing boats.

I stayed there about 10 yrs ago. Carol and Danny hosted an excellent property with many activities back then and thrilled to hear everything is still operating in the same fashion. I'd recommend Brekke's to anybody looking for a great lake get a way.

We had a great time. This is our go to place when we want to go up north. It was hard to find a place that it could accommodate my family, the families of my three brothers and my parents but this place wasn’t only just able to accommodate us but was affordable. We love going up there. It’s a beautiful place they have a lot of activities you can do very family-friendly. The owner And her son are amazing and so nice. We can’t wait to go again!

Awesome place to stay and just relax and enjoy nature. Owner and family are amazing and very friendly I came when I was a kid and have always wanted to come back. Definitely will be coming back give this place all thumbs up you will enjoy yourself no matter what kind of vacation you are looking for.

Loved it so much we stopped by for a second short visit while in the area for business. So much better and sweeter than any hotel. We’re hoping to bring some family up in the spring for a vacation.

We have been coming for years and just love the hospitality, quiet, amenities and cleanliness! There is a small bar on site with pizza. A nice getaway!

A 5 Star Resort with a 5 Star Touch. Amazing facility from the cabin we stayed in to the beach with its ammenities (raft to swim out to and dive off of, paddle boats, kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards - loved them), tennis courts, horse shoes, shuffle board and their very own bar off of the beach. Carol, Danny and Nancy are an amazing team and we can't wait to go back. If your looking for a resort in Rhinelander that is just outside of town and is very family friendly, clean and a great atmosphere make sure to give them a call.

There are both largee and small cabins, shuffleboard, a small lake accessible bar, children's playgrounds, free boat rentals (motors a bit extra), fish scaling station, and town less than 10 min away!

The owners were great to deal with,pet friendly, quite place, great pizza, located on the lake with clean and cozy cabins at an affordable price! I miss being there already!

Carol is so darn sweet and her son was an awesome bartender. Very well kept cottages.
