Todd DeRenzis - State Farm Insurance Agent

I've been with State Farm for many years, and have always enjoyed great service - in four different states - so I wasn't really surprised at my first experience with seeking help from our local agent . Still, Andrew at State Farm in Del Mar was so quick to respond and so helpful that I had to write this review. From my first call, he was amazing. And he followed up after the matter was settled to verify that all was well. If you're shopping for insurance, forget going for the lowest bid: go with people you know will have your back if your luck goes south some day!

I've been working with Todd DeRenzis for 10+ years and have had nothing but great experiences. Todd and his team have helped me with auto, homeowner's, and office insurance and I would recommend them to anyone. Recently I had an issue that required reaching out to State Farm and a body shop. Tiara in Todd's office got right on it, communicated with me, and resolved the issue much faster than I would have expected. Todd DeRenzis and his team get my highest possible recommendation.

I worked with Tiara this morning on a condo and auto policy for me. She was super quick, got me a great deal, and was very pleasant to work with! Have nothing but great things to say about her and this State Farm Office. :)

My family and I are moving from a house into an apartment in another state. Luckily I got connected with Sydney and got the entire set up of my rental insurance completed in just a few hours. I have no doubt that we could have got it done in a few minutes if i had all my stuff together. Sydney was exactly what you want to encounter when you don't really have any idea what you are doing. She showed a real depth of knowledge as well as being super friendly and prompt with replies as well as completing the necessary items for me. Sydney demonstrated a great capacity for communicating as well as getting things done efficiently with a great demeanor. I've always had a positive experience with this office since I moved out to California some years back. They seem to consistently employ professional and helpful staff, and I've even had Todd reach out to me directly at one point to resolve an issue in prior years. More recently, a staff member named Tiara was very helpful towards me. Highly recommend this office for your insurance needs. UPDATE_4.30.2020: I had another great experience with Tiara. She and the entire office always seem very helpful!

How lucky can you be? I started with Todd's office simply due to convenient location. But ~20 years later, I'm not near Todd, but will continue to use him and his staff as long as I'm able. It is such a pleasure to deal with the professional, personal, and prompt team over the years. They make it so I don't have to think about any issues that ever come up and just simply handle it. Sydney was extremely helpful in setting up my renters insurance and even added a discount to my auto insurance that I was unaware of. Her responses over email were quick and she was polite over the phone when answering some of my questions. I had to make a couple changes to the insurance policies and everything was resolved very quickly. I highly recommend this agency.

These are the best insurance agents and team I’ve worked with. Pricing is excellent, service even better. For example, when I got a new house recently I sent them my lease just to update my address. But they reviewed it and realized I needed additional fire coverage and took care of it immediately. Previously they also provided the perfect coverage for my engagement ring... no worries if it ever goes down the drain.

Todd and Sydney are a great tag team! We all know there are insurance agents advertising in every neighborhood, but if you are looking for friendly "white glove" service, proactive insurance policy knowledge and most importantly trustworthiness - you are making the right decision reaching out to these guys. They provided better scoped coverage than what I currently had and at very competitive pricing (Umbrella, Home, Vehicles, Rental - the whole deal!). Very positive experience and highly recommend them.
