I just happened to stop in to this office on my way home from my wedding for a name change. I was in and out within 10 minutes. The workers were extremely polite and helpful. When I arrived, they let me know their computer systems were down that day but they would still try to help me and I was very grateful for their fast and efficient service.

This 85 year old Former Marine had Problems with my SS deposits into my Bank acct. I called the local office here in Rhinelander, talked with Amy , she resolved my problem in short time, Amy , you are my Hero! Marc Vasquez

I called back in June asking a question about collecting ss. I said I would like to start getting a check after the first of the year, so when should I start to apply for a check starting in January. They said the first of December. So I did the 4th of December so my ss was approved so my first check is at the end of February. Thanks for the quality help!

Unreal rudeness on the phone. A male answered the phone and didn't want to help. Asked him for some information on my disability payments. He said he didn't know. I said I needed to know for an official document. He said he'd have to research. I said I'd wait on the phone, but yes, please GO DO YOUR JOB and get the info I need. He simply didn't want to do his job. He finally took the 97 seconds (I kept eye on the time) that it took to get my info.

Never open! And when they are...you'll wait on hold forever till you get a busy signal even. After Multiple calls to multiple locations...my conclusions are this...SSI is a rude inept personana non grata department. They treat elderly like a throw away. No Help, No Assistance and Rude workers that pass that buck to call waiting or on hold till you get disconnected.
