The Fish House

Everything was exceptional. Only thing I was disappointed in was hienthe grilled cod came out. It came out in a small bowl. It was good as it was in lemon Butter but still a very small portion. Mac and cheese was very cheesey and creamy and really good. My friend said the fried cod was really good too.

This is the best fish house in town! Every time I indulge it feels like Family ! Must try the Cafe Beignets 🤌🏾 Catfish dinner won’t lead you wrong ( any fish dinner is great& come with the perfectly seasoned French fries) ,Gulf shrimp ( is the cleanest fattest shrimp 🍤)not to mention the fluffy golden hush puppies & potatoes cakes & fried Mushrooms ! It’s safe too say I am a foodie and I’ve just about had all the popular favorites! You will not be disappointed 🫡let my mother tell it “when you go to the fish house you will leave with a food baby” (aka full belly) ✨

First time here at this well established, Louisville gem. Our family dined here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. There is a small parking lot and street parking. Cute outdoor eating area. Inside there's two different eating areas. You order at the counter, choose a seat and your food is brought out to you. They have homemade sweet tea and other drinks sold in bottles. We all had catfish dinners with different sides. Fish was so crispy, hot, and firm. Exactly how you want your fish to be. The hushpuppies were delicious with hint of sweetness that I love. We all agreed the fries were some of the best we had. This is a no fuss, quaint, delicious fish restaurant. We will definitely be back for good food and sweet staff.

A modest place that serves great food. The Dad was taking orders this time and he was very thorough... taking our order while delivering to-go orders to those waiting. Our fish sandwiches and coleslaw were very tasty and the seafood chowder is to die for.
I just really like it... And love supporting a small, local, owner-operated restaurant. I highly recommend it.

The best beignets in town. Beyond that the breakfast is great. The fish is a phenomenal too! Get all three!

First time here, and it was absolutely amazing. Simple menu that's easy to read and has a wide variety. The catfish was absolutely perfect, the onion rings I could have ate from open to close - they're so good! Homemade mac and cheese was super as well. The restaurant is clean and the staff were extremely nice and inviting. Mike Lennigs doesn't hold a candle to The Fish House.

If I could give them a 10 I would. First off let me say this is the only restaurant that I know of in America that had Gluten Free fish and chips!!!!! Not to mention hush puppies and more. While it may the only it would have been the best regardless. This place is legit. Well worth the drive from Atlanta to enjoy this. They have dedicated fryers and very knowledgeable about gluten free. Sorry about the photo I was digging in before I remembered to take one.

The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was fast. I couldn't have been happier with my clam strips dinner to-go, which came with condiments thoughtfully packed. I would also recommend their beignets, available all day!

First time ever eating here and we will be coming back! Friendly staff, great selection of fish and seafood. I was really amazed how my Haddock fish sandwich was larger than my plate! Cole slaw, and French Fries was awesome. If you love fresh fish and seafood, you need to visit The Fish House.. #1 in my book

This one is an oldie but goodie! What a wonderful treat to sit in a restaurant that cares about the overall experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. All the condiments were clean and available. The sweet tea didn't stop....it was fresh brewed!

I never eat catfish. It always tastes like river water to me. The fish house changed that! I was shocked to realize I at catfish!! It was fried perfectly and tasted amazing. Give this spot a try. You don't want to miss out!

Food was delicious , fresh and served hot. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The parking can be tricky when busy but this place is definitely worth a visit. We got catfish sandwiches with Mac and Cheese, Fries and Potato Cakes. Everything was seasoned great and full of flavor. Food came out so hot we had to wait a couple minutes to dive in which is somebody I’ll never complain about lol. She tried the jalapeño tartar. It looks weird but she said it tasted good but couldn’t really taste the jalapeño. We also got some beignets and they were good and fresh as well. I will definitely return and try other items

It’s not fancy but man the food is good. They have a great menu of several types of fried fish and shrimp as well as clams. Also1 check out the beignets- they are as good as at the Cafe du Monte!!

I enjoyed everything that I ate. The fish had thin breading, which was fantastic. I also ate a white creamy soup. It was made with crab and a white wine, delicious! The atmosphere was laid back, relaxing, and friendly.

I love mom and Pop restaurants, especially since they are going extinct, this is a great place! Super good food, the order was taken quickly, the food came out even quicker! Free refills, and a great selection of condiments and some homemade. Will definitely be back many many times!

Excellent seafood-fried fish restaurant. Variety on menu and very reasonable prices. Chowder was wonderful and creamy. The catfish was cooked to perfection -nice seasoning. Has a covered sunroom with tables for eating as well as another small inside dining room. Parking lot available.

Really good food. Great for folks who are gluten free. Separate fryers for regular and GF options. Really liked the fries and slaw. Their sauces are also really tasty. Particularly enjoyed the jalapeno tartar sauce.

We enjoyed our experience here. The catfish sandwich was hugh and very favorable. My wife's shrimp basket was also very good. French fries are some of the best I've ever had. Will definitely eat there again.

All food was great and the people there were soooo friendly. Very reasonable on their pricing.
The fried mushrooms we fantastic and fresh,not the normal frozen type one from other places. The catfish fillets were huge
