I booked the cabins and Ranch for 2 nights for my wedding!!!!! BEAUTIFUL venue and comfortable place to stay at. The fireplace in the rooms were very nice to have in the chilly mornings. And everyone loved the rustic cowboy theme in all the cabins!

The main building with the kitchen was perfect for cocktail hour and dance party on the deck! It was the perfect spot for the wedding. My bridesmaids loved star gazing from the hot tub and the horses that came up to the fence.

This is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, family reunion, or any celebration!

Our family stayed in the Bear and Saddle cabins for five days and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The cabins are exactly as depicted on the website and are perfect. The weather and scenery were exceptional and we enjoyed hiking near the ranch. We look forward to our next stay at Dancing Winds Ranch! And, our dogs loved it too!

I was looking for a quiet place to do a quick mental reset after what has been a frustrating year.
I found Dancing Winds Ranch. Oh My Goodness!! My cabin was perfect! Clean, very cozy and well maintained. Such a beautiful Ranch, I've fallen in love with it!
Great location to just get away.
I will definitely be back!

Great place to stay and a great value.
It’s a little piece from town, but if you bring food like we did, the owners will keep you stocked on firewood and you really have no reason to go anywhere else.
Views are awesome day and night. If you are looking for snow, they have it!

Recommendation from a Texan: if you don’t have 4x4, invest in some chains and youtube how to put them on before hand.

This is such a beautiful property! In even the most snow dropped in a short period of time in years, we felt right at home. Many memories were made in the snow by all and our Western German Shepherd loved it! Michelle and Brittany are so responsive and truly want you to have the best experience. We will definitely be back! Book with confidence that this is the place to make memories!

I can't adequately express in words just how much my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Dancing Winds! It was the perfect location to come back to at night for a porch dinner and drink(s) or to relax and read at during the day. We stayed for five nights and hiked a ton and took day trips to Durango and Chimney Rock. My favorite hike of the whole trip was just a half mile from the cabins. We're hoping to come back in the fall with friends! Our pup was in heaven too :)

Fantastic stay with phenomenal views! Very peaceful, secluded location...just what we were looking for. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Every interaction we had from the owners, to the caretakers, to the neighbors in the other cabins was enjoyable as everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend staying at DWR!

My third stay at these beautiful cabins and we will visit again. Just a magical place with clean comfortable cabins. Great fishing in the area and after all day in the forest it felt like going home each evening. Cabin hosts Mark & Misty were the best.

Absolutely breathtaking view! We rented all three cabins for our family to spend Christmas! It was a phenomenal experience! I can’t recommend this place enough. The picture is the view from the front porch of our cabin. Owners were very responsive when needed. Can’t wait to go back!

We hosted our wedding over a weekend at Dancing Winds, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The views are spectacular, the pavilion space is a beautiful communal area, the cabins were cute and functional, and the service was impeccable. Our camp hosts were extremely generous and accommodating and helped us immediately with anything we asked for or needed to help make our wedding great including even helping unload our vehicles when we arrived. Communication with the property owners and camp hosts was easy and prompt, and they offered us every opportunity to visit and tour the property beforehand that we needed. I can’t say enough positive things about our entire experience with this venue. Exceeded all expectations!!!

Our Family and friends, total 8 people, rented the entire ranch for 3 days during Thanksgiving 2022. The 3 cabins were warm, cozy, and clean, with every thing provided. The Pavilion was our central gathering spot which gave us plenty of room to cook, eat, visit, play board games, and warm by the fire. The weather cooperated so hiking and exploring was taken advantage. Each day also provided herds of elk grazing around us. Just enough rustic mixed with modern amenities like Star Link wifi. A magical place.

My family and friends just left Dancing Winds Ranch after staying for a week, and we loved it!

The cabins are very nice and cozy with a great view of the mountains from the front porch. There is a large fully enclosed pavilion with a great fireplace and large kitchen, the pavilion walls are all glass which makes it feel like you are outdoors. We spent every evening here eating, drinking and enjoying the mountain life.

Several of us stayed in the RV spots which were easy to get in, had full hook ups and had plenty of room to park our trucks and Polaris.

Dancing Winds is our new home away from home for our annual pilgrimage to Colorado. hands down, there is no better place to stay in the national forest and not be too far from town.

What a beautiful place! We stayed at Dancing Winds Ranch in June 2021. Our family has been vacationing in Pagosa Springs for over 50 years. We have camped, stayed in hotels, etc. These awesome cabins were a perfect new experience for our family. We rented all three cabins. Each were unique in decor and had everything you would need. The pavilion was our gathering place each morning before our hikes and in the evening we gathered around the fireplace and chatted about the day. The hot tub at night with the stars can’t be missed!
The view!!! Just incredible! We can’t wait to return!

What an absolutely amazing place. From the details in the cozy cabins (the pass through fire place was phenomenal!), to the star-lit nights, to the hot tub, to the very responsive customer service, and to the jaw-dropping views, Dancing Winds Ranch is everything we could have hoped for and more. We're already planning a return trip with friends in hopes of renting out all three cabins for a couples' weekend. My only complaint is our having not stayed longer. Hats off to the folks at Dancing Winds for making this one of the most memorable vacations of our lives. We will definitely return!

We were looking for a place for our extended family to gather and just get away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas, TX. Man, this was the perfect spot! We loved the ability to eat dinners in the Pavilion and enjoy the beauty of the mountains from the hot tub. Thank you to Dancing Winds for a great stay and family memories!

Our stay was as awesome as the view that we enjoyed every morning while having coffee on the front porch of our cabin! The accommodations are lacking in nothing! The cabins are beautifully decorated. They are so clean and comfortable! There were eight of us traveling together, so we stayed in two cabins and we had one RV spot. The pavilion is nothing short of awesome; we enjoyed big family breakfast and evening meals together there. John and Joanne, our camp host, we’re so wonderful and now considered friends! We hiked, fished, rode the backroads, and relaxed a lot! I only have good things to say about this trip, and we will be going back!

Wow! Is the first word that comes to mind. The place is beautiful! We used the pavilion for most over our meals and it really is a great place to enjoy the evening with friends and family. We rented all three cabins and had the place to ourselves. Travis and Mike were great to work with and we even got to meet their Dad John, Great man as well. Enjoyed a good cup of Coffee with him. The local staff they use to help with thing were very friendly and helpful as well. Oh and the view are like heaven itself. Thanks Dancing Winds for the wonderful vacation.

The cabins here are fantastic. I've stayed here for a week 3 summers in a row now and the cabins are always fantastic. Beautiful, quiet location close to numerous activities. You can do as much or as little as you want in the immediate area. The hot tub is a nice addition for after hike relaxation! Can't say enough good things about Dancing Winds!
