Great Forest Service campground. VERY quiet and serene. The current camp host, John, is a very nice guy. The pit toilets are kept clean. Potable water spigot and trash bins at the entrance with firewood available for purchase. I highly recommend site 16 for a tent camper. While the whole campground can hear the West Fork, site 16 can actually see it. Awesome white noise to sleep to.

Wonderful campground at a spectacular location. Off the highway near a beautiful meadow and easily accessible via a dirt road. The sites are quite far apart, so you get a lot of privacy. The campground was quiet with great amenities (eg. drinking water, very clean restrooms etc.) and easy access to some nice hikes. The host, John, is a super nice guy and gave us lots of tips on what to do / where to eat in town. We loved our stay here!

Wonderful little campground. It's quiet, off the main road and deep in the dark tree. The host was very friendly and restrooms were well maintained. There is a stream on the south side of camp which is amazing to fall to sleep too. Fresh water and firewood is available. This park gives you easy access to Wolf Creek Pass, miles and miles of National Forest road to explore and close enough to Pagosa Springs for anything that you might have forgotten at home.

Campground is beautifully scenic with a river right nearby! Host is extremely helpful. With fire being such a threat every summer, she has a hard job of keeping everyone fire safe, so you may get a talking to about wood size etc. If you’re at all knowledgeable though, it is nothing you shouldn’t already be doing. Bathrooms were very well maintained, and overall we loved staying here. We even extended our stay instead of moving on to our next spot because it was so nice here.

The campground is lovely, as is the setting. The river is beautiful as are all the cliffs surrounding the area. The bathroom we used was remarkably clean and well maintained for the three days we were there. (Ok, this is silly, but the four rolls of toilet paper had their ends folded into little triangles). Host Laura did a great job.

This was a decent campground while touring through Colorado. The spaces between campsites are decent. Only complaint I had was with the road from the highway. It has to be the worse dirt road I've ever driven on. Pot holes all over. If you are pulling a travel trailer, be advised to go real slow. Otherwise you probably will need a front wheel alignment after you get done traveling on it. I'm surprised the forest service allowed it to get so bad. Other than that, a great place to camp!

Campground in spectacular national forest setting just north of Pagosa Springs. Close enough to drive into Pagosa but far enough away that it amazingly peaceful and quiet. We loved our week there and didn't want to leave!

The details: No hookups, vault toilets, no showers, potable water available, no dump station. Level sites & some large enough for big rigs. We had site #18, which bordered the river & had plenty of afternoon sun to power our solar system. Very friendly & helpful camp host.

We will definitely be returning!

We had such a nice time. The camp was clean and quiet. Since we've been getting some rain we were able to use the campfire ring to cook. Celebrated my birthday with Ribeyes with all the trimmings. We stayed in tents since we are local coming from Pagosa for just a night but there were all kinds of RVs and camper trailers. Close to the river, hiking, and horseback riding. Lots to do and explore.

Nice campground nestled in the woods. It was clean and quiet. Each spot has a fire ring and picnic table. Some spots only fit a tent but many fit RV's. We found a spot for our little camper with no reservation on a Thursday in July. It has vault toilets and the camp host sold firewood bundles. No complaints about this place.

Peaceful, spacious sites. Spectacular Rainbow Hot Springs trail is worth the work-out of 12 miles out and back. Deer came into our site. The adjacent stream is shallow enough in areas if you want an icy dip.

Great place for peaceful camping and good location for variety of things to do. New camp host this year, Mike, who does an excellent job and is very friendly. Cleanest sites and restrooms I’ve ever seen! No disappointments.

Stumbled upon this place looking for a place out of the way to enjoy our lunch outdoors. It was the last week they were open for the year. Free camping, and a lot of privacy. One of our great finds that we will definitely return to..

Very clean Campground, but it was probably the quietest place I've ever been in my life. Eerily quiet, like a conversation was so loud. They restocked the toilet paper pretty quick too

Great place to camp! The bathrooms were very clean and the camp hosts were very friendly. You can also get to the nearby creek with minimal effort.

I love coming out here. It's beautiful and you can hear the creek at night. Make sure to get reservations they book fast on weekends.

Absolutely beautiful. Right next to a rushing river in a secluded valley. Potable water and nice clean bathrooms. Very close to treasure falls.

Hidden gem. If you're up to a 4 mile hike one-way, the hot springs are allegedly worth it. But we got stopped by thunderstorms.
