Healing Waters Resort & Spa Reviews

Service was great with a positive, friendly vibe. We stayed in the bunk house. Bunk house has two bedrooms, master suite with a king bed and guest room with queen bed and rustic bunk beds. Kitchen, living room and bathroom.
The main pool was 85 degrees, hot spring in back was 95 and the private spring was 111. Main pool was great for my kids.
Water smells like sulphur and feels great.

I haven’t stayed there personally, but purchased a massage package as a gift and the customer service was incredible!! They went above and beyond to provide me with all the information needed and sent more information along with the certificate. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there, super helpful, kind and attentive.

Took a dip in the pool we had it all to ourselves for the night. Staff was very friendly and the price was right. Nice and relaxing after a day on the slopes. I will be back to use the pool again. We did not stay in the rooms

Reasonable prices, and you can’t beat the convenience of having 3 pools of hot springs right outside your door. Plus, downtown restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The river walk is especially nice to explore in all four seasons. The rooms are clean and the facility is dedicated to quiet relaxation. I’ve enjoyed it several times now!

Just went to the pool for a few hours with our four kids. It's a dated facility, but also very low-key and chill. Not sure I'd even want it to get renovated, because the retro vibe gives a certain nostalgic ambiance. We had a great time! Worth it for the price of entry. You can rent towels and suits or bring your own. I feel incredibly relaxed after two hours of soaking! Perfect after a day of hiking.

Let me preface my review by stating that my husband and I are pretty easygoing people who just want a comfortable room at a decent price and are able to overlook petty issues. When I read reviews, I am looking for an honest opinion on bed comfort, pool temperature, and breakfast options. So, at minimum that's what our review will address. That said, the room was spacious and clean with cute western decor. The bathroom was very small but adequate, although it takes a full few minutes to get hot water in the shower. The AC window unit worked great and the beds were pretty comfortable. There should be a microwave in the room since there is no breakfast offered. The pool is large and wonderful and the resort is within walking distance of the natural hot springs at the river. The whole area smells a bit like sulphur, but I guess that's a tradeoff for the warm water temps.

The hot springs pools were amazingly relaxing after a long backpacking trip in the mountains! They is a steam room/sauna that I heard was very hot yet refreshing and super hot thermal spring water pools in both men & women's sides that are clothing optional. The large pool is the coolest in temperature but so nice and big to swim in. It's under body temp and feels wonderful; the hotter one outside is on a raised platform. Check it out! They have hot spring day trip tickets available to public or a stay with them, get a room and hotsprings enterance day of til close at 10pm & opens 8-11am on checkout day for guests.
Ok, yes the carpeting in the room we stayed at room number 21 was absolutely disgusting. It made my feet feel dirty, it was black. Needs a deep clean like most hotel carpets do. You have been warned wear sandals.

Time 2 Soak at Healing Waters!
3 different pool options with different temperatures. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are a garden setting. Huge rooms with western decor. We also got a top-rated massage. All reasonably priced.

I gave the rooms a 3 because I couldn’t post without rating it but I have never been inside the rooms. However, this does not look like it is a high end Resort .
I only have gone to the Spas. This is an old well-kept very clean spa. The outside spa is kept around 104-106 degrees. However, yesterday it was drained & cleaned so the water was 110-111 almost unbearable but the cool breeze made it tolerable for me. I only stayed in for 10 minutes at a time. My friend, however; had to get a refund cos’ the water was way too hot to enjoy.
The inside spa is a narrow long spa which is enclosed with only a small window. It is steamy & hot. I could only handle it for 5 minutes cos’ I got claustrophobic. There are nice comfortable beds to cool down on.
I had the best massage ever by Karli Joe Fischbein. She was recommended by a guest I met in the spa. Karli is beautiful person with the gift of healing hands which she empathetically uses to relieve pain. She did a deep tissue massage with a unique technique I have never experienced. She said her training was in Taos but I didn’t get the name of the technique. I fell into a light sleep during the massage & was not sore even though she went deep into the facia. I highly recommend her.

We only paid for a day pass to use the hot springs pools. We were very happy to visit them again and enjoy the healing waters

Just stopped in for a soak on our way through town... it was perfect! Friendly helpful staff, quiet, not crowded, respectful co-soakers :). Nice changing rooms with showers and lockers (bring 4 quarters to lock), and bonus swimwear water remover spin gadget! (Ladies locker room.) A large warm pool and then smaller pools of graduating temps; some outside and some enclosed. Lovely variety. Very relaxed, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Planning to go back for a weekend to try the rooms!

We have stayed here several times over the years. The little family cabins are great for summer. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean. They have a nice big natural hot spring pool, a hot tub in the back and bath houses. You won’t be disappointed!

We loved swimming at this place!!! We usually visit Pagosa 1-2 times a year to see family. We've been priced out of the other hot springs across the street. You can go to Healing Waters just to swim and soak for much cheaper. It was a much better experience for our young girls than the hot springs would have been. Big warm pool. Fun hot tub hidden in the back. When we were there we had the pool to ourselves for the first hour- after that, a handful of nice families arrived. Really nice staff too!

Our 2nd visit. Great hot spring fed pool! We just wish it was open a little later than 10 pm for patrons of the hotel. Staff is very friendly. The beds could be a little softer, but not terrible.

A local to Pagoda recommended we go here rather than the big resort. I am SOOOO glad we did. Spent a few hours in the evening relaxing in the main pool and the hot tub in the back. Such a great place and the waters are incredible. Warm and friendly and inexpensive. LOVE this place!

We did not stay at the resort, but we used the spa when visiting Pagosa Springs. We loved it! The lady at the front was super helpful and very nice! Highly recommend checking it out!

My stay was very nice, staff are very friendly, facilities are clean. My issue is the resort put a HOLD on my credit card for 5 days AFTER I checked out and paid my bill. They have their money but I still have a hold of the entire cost (like paying double) on my credit edit card. This needs to be fixed for future stays. The hold should be released the same time they receive their money for the bill. Unhappy about that. Do better Healing Waters.

Definitely worth every penny! Our room was clean and very spacious. Rooms are a little outdated but very homey. The pools are an amazing experiences and are included with your stay. The hot tubs have a 30 min rotation rule to allow everyone to be able to soak and relax which I thought was genius! For those travelling with children, our 8 and 7yr old loved the pool and it's big enough for them to be able to enjoy themselves without disturbing other guest. Overall we've had a great experience!!!

Loved our stay here and wish we'd stayed an extra day. Prefer a king bed which wasn't available, but we're happy with our mini suite. It was super clean and very roomy. The hotel property has a nice sitting area and grills for cooking outdoors too. Staff was awesome.
