West Yellowstone Public Library

Lovely little library! Clean and welcoming with a surprising amount of room for studying and researching, along with plenty of space for kids to play around.

There are books for sale, a 'Montana Room' specifically devoted to the local region and Yellowstone, a solid selection of books, restrooms, and even an outdoor patio for use during warmer seasons. There's a chess set and a few other odds and ends, including a large vault, as the library used to be a bank.

Great place, will definitely come here often as a place to read and study and check out books. Need proof of residence in the area to get a card- identification, bills with address, letter from a landlord.

Awesome library with AC and Wi-Fi! Amazing!

Passing through town, I stopped here to print 4 pages of black/white for $0.50 after I was quoted over $4 for the same simple 4 page print from the local “QuickPrint” company. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. The interior was well kept and there were several people inside utilizing the library so that was great to see!

Had some good books for $1 or less! I stayed in West Yellowstone for 8 days, mostly waiting on a new tire. So after seeing all the other stuff, I visited the library. It's got good local material. It was a cool place to sit awhile and read.

Pay attention to the hours. I wish they had been open on Mondays.

Wonderful little library for a small town. It is connected to several other borrowing systems so you can get just about any book, film, or periodical you want. Great kids area. Solid in-house movie selection. Meeting rooms are nice and easy to reserve.

This library is small but wonderful. They have a nice selection of books and a kind and friendly staff always willing to help out travelers. They have donated paperbacks for sale for 50 cents as well as music cds for 2$. They have free WiFi and will let you use it as long as they are open. They have art shows of local talent and are deeply rooted in the community here. Always a pleasant experience!

I have to respectfully totally disagree with the last review. While the postings when you initially enter the library are more about local events than "touristy things", all you have to do is ask, & Steve or Monika are more than happy to provide you with any information you may need. There is wifi, but you have to ask for the password to log in. This is by far the best smaller town public library that I have ever frequented. :)

When camping in the National Forest there is no wifi. With libraries across America covid-closed, we were surprised and delighted to find West Yellowstone open. Super fast free wifi to plan our travel route and a nice sized travel section to read the Yellowstone and Teton guidebooks. Thanks for being open!

Incredibly great small town library! Love the new books display, staff picks, the Montana Room, the art displays that change, the wall of photographs of local folks, the children's room, the garden area, and the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Wifi, computer catalog lookup and the bulletin board for local events are excellent. This library is one of the shining stars of this town!

This is a great library for a small town. I have used the library many times. Everyone is very nice and helpful when I have gone there.

A very nice and polite employee greeted me and offered me the Wifi info. Hopefully the sales tax dollars in WYellowstone pay for the library.

I love coming to the local library. There is even a beautiful outdoor garden where you can sit and enjoy the afternoon with a good book

We lived and worked in a nearby national park, and having a public library nearby was great for our whole family.
