Everything about my stay at the Stardust was great. Easy check-in, helpful staff, keyless doors. Glorious water pressure in the shower, delightfully comfortable bed (love the extra pillows), and the place felt solid and quiet. No photos needed- it’s exactly as represented in other reviews. Easy walk to several restaurants and pubs. I’d happily stay here again.

Clean, affordable, and adorable hotel right off I-90. Wallace the town is very cute and historic, and this hotel is a nice retro flare. The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows (like 6 on the king sized, instead of some places that give you two or three). The showers had great water pressure and nice hot water. The hotels and sheets were spotless. Plenty of channel selection of the television. They are also pet friendly!!! Clean carpets too and no smells! Will definitely stay here again!!!

Our room was amazing room. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that were $1000.00 a night that were not a clean as the Stardust rooms.

The staff are polite, they really care that you enjoy your stay. Booking the room was a breeze on line.
They have two fire pits going every night.
Great ski race weekend at Lookout Pass which is a quick 17 minute drive from the motel.

The Stardust Motel is a place I'll definitely come back to. Being retro makes it really cute. The room was perfectly clean and I enjoyed the oversized bathtub. The folks at the front desk were really friendly as they mapped out the town of Wallace for me and gave me ideas for drives up the various hillsides. Lookout Pass ski resort is just a few miles east. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Great location near just about everything in downtown. Has a retro feel but with modern amenities. Bed was very comfortable, we may try to buy similar mattresses for our house! Staff was amazing from booking through checkout. Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay if you’re traveling on I90. Our room had apparently the only queen size bed in the complex, but it was super clean, comfortable and quiet. The front desk lady was very sweet, recommended places for breakfast and dinner that didn’t fail to impress. The owner is a very nice lady as well, upgraded our room to ensure our comfort, since we called ahead. And you absolutely can’t beat the price, compared to the hotels around.

I recently stayed there for ten days and it was a amazing time. The staff is very sweet and down to earth but still professional and knowledgeable at the same time. Wallace is a beautiful town with a lot to offer if you know where to stay while you're in town. Thanks again for letting me stay at you're motel. It was awesome will stay there next time I'm in town .

My sister & brother-in-law were visiting from out of town. We love Wallace & decided to stay during the pub crawl. The room was super cute. We loved the retro sink, fridge etc. The mattresses & pillows were super comfy & the sheets & pillow cases were great quality.
We also loved sitting by the fire pit making s'mores with the complimtary s'more kit. Thank you, Stardust staff for the wonderful stay. We'll be back!

We stayed one night in March 2024. The room was clearly updated and immaculate; the bed was very comfortable; it's in walking distance to all of downtown Wallace. Love the retro update including the retro microwave. I can't tell how nice it was. The staff...perfect.

First, please bear in mind that The Stardust recognizes itself as a “2-Star Hotel”, so with this in mind I will rate my stay as far better than expected and with 5 stars and this review.

The location is conveniently located and easy to access.

The premises is safe and well lit.

The grounds are very clean with a little bit of lot maintenance perhaps needed for some small things.

The atmosphere is very nostalgic. I was immediately taken back in my mind to happier days, when life was real.
There are small outdoor tables with two chairs each to enjoy outside along the portcullis and breezeways complete with cleaned ashtrays for sitting and enjoying the cool maintain air with a friend. So if you enjoy tobacco, make yourself cozy just outside your door.

The exterior paint and decor are fresh, but in a 1970’s kind of way.

The rooms, that’s the best part, the paint and attention to detail of the cleanliness were downright exceptional.
The mattress, bedding and pillows were absolutely welcoming, comfortable, and meticulously clean with no trace of industrial cleaner scent, just freshness. My mind was blown by the small detail of a 1970’s throw pillow for adornment upon perfectly fitted and folded sheets and cozy blankets. The thread count was higher quality. Simply put, it was very satisfying sleep.

Towels and other bathroom sundries were
as fresh as the bedding and very soft. The bright work on the sink and tub shined bright and spotless. The tub and sink are also vintage era and sparkle.

The carpet is common office Berber, but spotless and fresh as well. The furnishing were common for motel fare, along with the typical single serve coffee “pot”, mini fridge and mini microwave. Of course there is a spacious dresser, mini style coat/shirt closet stand, and a decent little table and chair. Remember, it’s a motel not a Holiday Inn and suites. It’s designed to get a good nights rest with some peace and quiet, and I sincerely feel like it delivered.

Finally, the staff were very friendly, patient and helpful. There’s some cool 70’s style Stardust Motel memorabilia in the office/lobby, and they are generous with the sundries if you should want more of any of the consumable room items.

If you’re traveling and getting tired and looking for a convenient and clean place to rest up along the way, try Wallace Idaho for some good still around town and The Stardust Motel for a good sleep along the way.

One word of advice, call personally and reserve the room and do your check in before they close! I’m not sure if it’s seasonal, but there is no overnight staff for check in.

I hope this helps!

This a great place to stay. We stayed 1 night and it was clean, the people were nice, we could walk to several bars and restaurants, and the shower had crazy good water pressure. Highly recommend. Especially for the price.

We. have always stayed at a different hotel in Wallace. But our current mobility issues and travel with pets have made that choice difficult for us. The Stardust is located right in town, close to our favorite restaurant. Our room was on the ground floor, had a door leading directly outside and its own parking space. This meant ease of walking our dogs and ease of schlepping in and out with all our pet supplies, beds, food, blankets, large cat crate, etc. Our room was bright and cheerful, had both microwave and fridge, which made storing the canned dog food and reheating it very convenient. Even for people without all our travel issues, I would recommend the Stardust to anybody.

A little confusing to find at first but once we got there, it was amazing. They have done an amazing job remodeling this place. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. Room in great order. Love all the amenities offered.

Stardust is a really well done motel. Old school motel style with a super friendly team running the place. Easy to get in and out of, close to everything. On top of it Wallace is a real surprise of a town, a perfect stopover on our road trip.

For an older motel it was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful with local attractions and restaurants.
