The 238 Bar

The 238 Bar is an unexpected gem!! There are pool tables, video lottery, TV's to watch the games, frequent live bands, DJ's, open mic nights, plus awesome specials on drinks and delicious food (even vegetarian options)! They have a full bar, rotate seasonal beers, and create seasonal cocktails. The staff are all incredible, and the ambiance is fun and relaxing. Thank you 238 Bar!

We're new to Grants Pass, but we've become regulars. I like to shoot pool and they have several tournaments throughout the week. Pretty diverse crowd and everyone is very nice. Bartenders are always super friendly. Haven't had a bad night yet.

One of the funniest bars in grants pass. Variety of life. Live music. The bar tenders were so awesome. Everyone was like so fun and talkative. I felt a lot of comradery. So the energy was super good.

Mike and Taylor are Awesome Owner Operators!!! Treat their patrons like family. Plus 3 tacos and a beer on Tuesdays and Thursdays is hard to beat.

Great place to go for whatever you enjoy to do! Whether its playing in the variety of pool tournaments they have every day where the house always matches100%😃 Or enjoying a few drinks with some good food and taking advantage of their daily specials. Or maybe you just like to press your luck playing the lottery machines. Whatever you like you'll always have fun hanging out here with good company and their wonderful bar tenders all thanks to the owner who puts his heart into everything at the 238 Bar 💜😉👍👍

I miss when this establishment was called the Whammy Bar. Though the last owner of it failed at keeping the good vibe alive the original owners had going. The new owner has brought some of it back. Very clean and friendly watering hole. I highly recommend this cozy bar.

Love this bar and really love Mike & Taylor. Great people, awesome food. Lots of pool tournaments that are alot of fun with a hometown bar atmosphere.

Nice spot on the edge of grants pass town to grab some eats and drinks. When we walked in they had pool tables available, and a live dj spinning music. Dj coulda been better, but he was open to requests so that helped alot. The bartender. Mutang was his name I believe. Was polite and prompt on pouring and preparing. Tips do the bartender for being the only one back there when we walked in too. Bathrooms were clean, overall bar was clean. I'll be back for sure.

Very inviting atmosphere. Had chili in a bread bowl....delish! Found out that there is a pool tournament there. A variety of the game on different nights of the week.
