I thoroughly enjoyed eating at Mangiare. The food was tasty and left me wanting more. The wine was fresh and paired well with the meal. The service was very friendly, both times. One time was just for drinks. The second time was for a full dinner in the evening. The pasta amount in the plates were funny looking but there was a good serving in the center for two. That along with the warm olive bread and balsamic and oil mix, the salmon, and appetizers was worth the cost. I left full and feeling great. The food tasted great. The people were nice. Go go go. Give them a visit.

Payton the bartender was an absolute pleasure! He made my partner and I delicious drinks and even an Amalfi Collins! The atmosphere is beautiful a perfect place for a romantic date. The muscles appetizers are worth their price!

My mom is a picky eater and usually she has a negative comment about most places we visit but after tasting her mussels and lemon curd cake, she only had great reviews. She doesn’t like milk, butter or cream so it is hard to find her food in any restaurant that doesn’t use those ingredients in their dishes. We were surprised that her mussels had a fresh light marinara sauce without all that heavy cream or butter.

My mom also dislike sweets so I am usually the one to indulge in desserts but as soon as she tried a bite of my lemon curd cake (which my waitress recommended over my usual chocolate cake request) she ate more than the half of it.

She was genuinely delighted so I knew I had to leave a 5 star review.

My lobster linguine was delicious and I loved how you see every bits of the lobster as if the the shell was still on, so it showed that it was fresh and carefully removed.

The linguine was perfectly cooked al dente. My picture doesn’t do justice to the dish cause as I ate, more pieces of lobsters appeared- a real treat!

The restaurant is small but has plenty of seating. It seems that bartender is also serving food from the kitchen since it was next to each other. The restroom is straight down the hall from the main entrance.

We came from a cruise to Alaska so we had limited time to explore but it seems that Mangiare was the only restaurant in a small area with only a handful of shops.

I didn’t notice the name on the window and was using google maps to look for a place to eat but was drawn in by the Sitka Hotel and Lounge sign that was over the entrance door.

This restaurant was definitely a highlight in Sitka. Pricing is actually cheaper than most seafood dishes in Miami, Florida. My mom and I truly enjoyed our food and will look for Mangiare on our next visit.

Small and unassuming place with absolutely amazing food. I wasn't expecting it to be that good and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, the service was good even though a bit slow but the food was really tasty. Cute little place, nice ambiance and decor but the food really makes it worth stopping by.

Just visiting Sitka for work. Stopped in to have a good dinner and was not disappointed. Exceptional ribeye with scallops preceded by an amazing appetizer of mussels in the most amazing sauce I've ever had. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, if you're in Sitka you must stop and have dinner.

Extremely friendly staff, the food we ordered were delicious. You pay higher price for each meal since you're in an island. This place isn't ideal for people seeking a quite dinner.

Food was very good. Drinks were yummy. I had the blueberry lemon drop and it was delish. The okra special was the best thing we had except the lemon curd cake was out of this world. Wish I could have gotten a whole cake to go! I thought the service was great and atmosphere nice and relaxing. It’s my favorite restaurant in Sitka so far. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty amazing
Had the mussels as a starter follow by linguine in a rogue. I was actually pretty hungry and needed something to fill me up, portion looks small but it’s not, layers of sauce and pasta perfectly placed, thank you Chef!

I'm not usually a fan of alfredo, but the Blackened Salmon Alfredo with peas and rice was some of the best food I've had in a long time. It was so rich, I took bites of the bread (also delicious) to cleanse my pallet every now and then. Seriously well done. Loved it!

One of the best higher end restaurants I’ve ever been too! The white king salmon and Bolognese were incredible. They’ve even lowered some prices this last year which you never see

Who would have thought to find amazing Italian food in Sitka? Went expecting standard Italian fare and came away an advocate! We had the fettuccine bolognese and it was superb. Kudos to the chefs and the staff for an amazing experience! Kendra was super!

Clean, precise, service and food. Step above on all accounts. Their Old fashion was pristine and on point.
Would absolutely come again.

Ended up going here twice on our recent trip to Sitka! Completely delicious and authentic Italian food - Lemon Crab linguine, mushroom risotto and the made to order Italian Donut we’re all incredible! Interesting and delicious wine from Uruguay, and very friendly staff. We so so delighted by this find! Highly recommend

We had dinner here twice, both times excellent. One evening we both had the rockfish piccata and the other we shared the full rack of lamb. Accompanying veggies were wood or charcoal grilled and also were outstanding. Salads and desserts also first rate. They are busy and don’t take reservations for parties under 6 people, but neither night did we have to wait long.

Daniel saved the day from a bad night. I was not impressed with the vibe, treatment overall of what’s promoted as ambience. I am not a cruise ship person who will never be back, I’ll be back and thanks to Daniel MAY come back to this spot to spend my money year round but maybe not. Make sure your employees know how to have fun like Daniel he’s got a good vibe
