An old Anchorage gem. I have had the chicken sandwich and that is the best. The chicken pieces are decent as well.
Hands down the best milkshakes in the city however!! Great selection to choose from and they are so good!!! I go here to go or just for the shakes at times!! Seriously the best!! You will be in love!! In the photo is cherry and salted caramel flavor.

Austin was our server. The soda machine seemed to be acting up and went above and beyond to try and make it right for us. Thank you sir. He made us feel very welcomed and was very patient with us. Excellent service. Great place to go for some comfort foods. The atmosphere was relaxing. Had a small town diner vibe. The milk shakes are to die for.

We came about 1 hour before closing, and it wasn't busy at all. The service was very good and she kept our drinks filled. The wings were soooo good but also very filling. The chili was amazing, and the friend chicken was delicious. Definitely recommend gettin some onion rings for an appetizer bc the whole table loved them. Overall, it was a very good choice of dinner plans. Wasn't expensive either. Nice peaceful atmosphere right in the middle of town.

A classic diner with an extensive menu, creative milkshakes, amazing fried chicken, very courteous staff, and reasonable prices for the food!

I definitely recommend ordering the chicken, whether in a sandwich or by themselves. The sizes of the sandwiches and shakes are definitely worth the price, and will definitely stuff you up. The difficult thing with this place is just what to choose on the menu as there are so many great options.

If you are coming with a group, I also definitely recommend ordering the corn fritters as the honey butter makes them melt warmly in your mouth and you really just can’t stop at one.

I would come to Lucky Wishbone a lot when I was in high school, and I was back in Alaska for a visit and had to make sure this was one of the places I visited, and I was not disappointed. Food and service is still excellent!

My second time and it improved from last year definitely. The chicken was well fried and the pieces had the proper size. Wings and loaded fries were really good too. I tried a cherry milkshake that was delicious yet too sweet for me. They forgot the coleslaw in two of our orders but they brought it after for free.

Oh my, the home cooking type food here is phenomenal. Best fried chicken in town, by far! And everything else is exceptional too. I had the mashed potatoes and gravy, yum. My girlfriends had the chicken sandwich, and an all meaty with a raspberry fudge shake. The guy at the table beside me has the burger, and it looked so good I can’t stop thinking about it. I absolutely appreciate being able to get an affordable tasty meal. Can’t wait to go back again!

Tried this place for lunch, so sorry I didn’t try it before as we leave Anchorage tomorrow. Best wings i have ever had! Perfect amount of sauce, cooked perfect, very meaty. Great service too. Restaurant has been around since 1955 but the place is kept very clean. This would be my go to place if I lived here.

It was recommended for me to come here by an acquaintance and I'm sure glad I did! The chicken was sooo good! Actually everything was soooo good! The cornbread, the shake, the biscuits...all of it. It was said that the founder of this restaurant was very close to the military and when he passed away the military flew the jets overhead in his honor. Really just a cool restaurant in a cool town with cool and friendly staff and amazing food. Be sure to stop if you are in town.

Viviana is the best food server! She is the only worker who acknowledged my friend and me. She made me a fresh pot of coffee. At the end of our meal, she gave me a to go cup of coffee. I was going to ask for one because I was ubering the rest of the night! She is VERY attentive to guest's needs!!!

I love Lucky Wishbone they never let me down! I had a Salted Carmel and Peanut Butter Shake it was amazing!! I usually eat fried but today I had a jumbo cheeseburger, yum!!! The only thing is it’s a little pricey 2 burgers 2 shakes 40.00$

First time to Anchorage and really wanted something local. This was a great choice- the fried chicken was delish, huge portions, decent price, and excellent service. Since 1955 and I can see why. Keep it up!

This place is soooo yummy! Amazing milkshakes, fried chicken and much much more! Call when you get in the drive thru and it will be ready when you pick up. You can also order a 30 piece chicken meal if you have a group to feed. Great Anchorage gem!

It’s been several years since we stopped by for lunch so it was a pleasant surprise to see the the recent renovation has captured the historic feel of a restaurant we’ve been enjoying for decades. The service was marvelous friendly and efficient m. The food excellent. My club sandwich was huge and tasty. My wife’s salmon chowder was good.

A very good diner. Loved the decor (see photo) with all the local pilot memorabilia. The strawberry shake was one of the most amazing milkshakes I've ever had. The burger and fries were also very good. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back.

Quality food, some of the best fried chicken in town. Their cornbread is something I often think about. Great place to get a milkshake, and their small plate of cornfritters is the perfect size. Servers are attentive and helpful, the vibe of the restaurant gives - old good o'l days - diner.

This place was awesome! The chicken, the ham and cheese, the onion rings, the sundaes. So good!
