Riviera Bar and Grill

Hidden gem! I had the Grouper reuben, my husband had Admiral Joe's combo. Both were delicious, our waitress was wonderful, live music was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the water, birds and passing boats. Our beer wasn't ice cold but everything else including the orange cake and calimari was excellent! We are locals and will definitely be back!

We went yesterday and cannot say enough good about the food, atmosphere and service. We had a great afternoon and our server Zack was the best server we have had in a long time. He showed true customer service, and the the food was beyond our expectations. My friend that was with us and did a review made a mistake on the server name and said Jake but it was Zack. lol. We had the shrimp basket and the shrimp were huge and perfectly done and my husband the peel and eat were beyond amazing (picture below). We will return again and again. Great night out and experience, good service and great food. Something sadly lacking since Covid.

I can't believe I waited so long to try a Grouper Ruben. I'm glad I decided to try one here. The fish was perfect. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the scenery. The beer was cold. Service was great. We'll be back

Probably one of the better if not the best place in town to get delicious and fresh seafood dishes for reasonable prices. Service was fantastic, even for how busy they were. Also, I'm a big fan of key lime pie and would definitely recommend getting a slice here!

The only real complaint we had was due to other patrons that had brought their alleged "service" Chihuahua to the dockside seating. Every single boat, seagull, or other distraction that he saw caused he to bark up a storm. At one point he even knocked over a chair his owner had tied him up to. I love dogs and have two of my own (Labradors, 90+ lbs each) but even I know there is a time and a place when it's appropriate to bring them, and only if I know they're going to behave themselves. Not knowing if Riviera Bar and Grill is dog friendly or not, from my perspective this couple was taking advantage of the ADA Service Animal policy and had the "service dog" wording all over the chihuahua's leash and harness. Although I didn't inquire with the owner, I've never seen a service animal behave in such an uncontrolled manner.

All that being said, my family and I will be back here again... Hopefully next time without dealing with untrained and out of control pets.

Ate here on a Saturday afternoon. After about a 30 minute wait we got a fabulous table waterside. Our party of five had calamari and peel and eat shrimp which was tremendous. All of our entrées were perfect and came out quickly. Hog wings were super great and recommended by our waitress, Elizabeth. if you come to this restaurant, you absolutely should ask for Elizabeth; she is fantastic. They accommodated us with gluten-free choices as well. Great experience overall.

This is a slice off the grid. They used to be hidden by the boat graveyard but now it's all open and beautiful I can't wait to see what's coming next! Omg 3/5/24 manatees everywhere, fish, beauty it's amazing everyday its better!

It was a very nice restaurant and the people were warm welcoming. Had very good service and the food was good and very big portions. It was our first time and we will be back again.

Our senior group visited Iguanaland and decided to give this restaurant a try. They accommodated us without reservations. Wow! Service was excellent, food was fresh and well prepared and the prices were right. The owner recommended the Fl orange cake - it was delicious. He checked up on us several times during our lunch. I highly recommend it.

First time at this restaurant which was very busy but got seated right away. Ordered multiple appetizers which came out quickly & all together. We had the mussels, crab cake, hog wings & peel and eat shrimp. Everything was delicious. My husband & I also shared a fried grouper basket which was great! I decided to take a piece of the orange cake home to enjoy. Looking forward to returning.

We had a party of 13 this evening. The restaurant was extremely busy. Our waiter Matt did an exceptional job of taking care of us. He was attentive, efficient, and most of all patient. Our food came out in a timely manner. Everyone said how good their meals were. It's great sitting and looking out on the water and the boat traffic. I highly recommend Riviera Bar and Grill.

It is a great restaurant! Food is top-notch, the service was excellent, and watching the boats is fun. We highly recommend it. Next time we will come by boat, lots of dockage.

We stopped in for lunch and drinks during our midday boating adventure. Our captain found this place after discovering that our original destination was closed. We didn't know what to expect and were all pleasantly surprised with this cute restaurant on the water. There was outdoor seating or outdoor bar seating, indoor seating, and an indoor bar with seating, so lots of seating choices. After being in the board, we opted for indoor and air conditioning. We all found something quickly on the menu. The food was fresh and the drinks were yummy and subtly strong, and the service was great - ask for Mona (Mona Lisa).

We're all glad the other place was closed! Docking was easy with a guide to assist.

We came in with a group of five straight from the airport. We weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, food, and drinks. Everyone loved their meals. My cousin said the fried shrimp were the best he had during his vacation in SWFL.

The hit of the night, though, was Big Bad Bobby's Royal Flush. After trying that drink, we had to buy apple whiskey, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice to recreate it at the condo the following night!

Amazing place for food and company. You get that old town fla feel with fantastic service. Even though the place was really busy,our food was to us quick and hot. Sat out on the dock where the cool breeze was nice and comfortable. Watching the snook and sheepshead swim by while we ate was a added bonus.

We are RVers and we're looking for a restaurant which served seafood and Riviera Bar and Grill looked good. We went there and were very happy. The service was very good, the food and selections are top notch and the atmosphere overlooking the canal is really nice.

Stopped by for early dinner, looked pack but little to no wait on a beautiful Saturday night.
Literally everyone there that we encountered was friendly, our server mentioned it was the best place she had ever worked, that the boss was fantastic and how much she loved it!

Joe (owner) stopped us and chatted with us a couple times and was just charming and sweet as can be!
My whole group loved their food, and I did as well. It was quick, priced right and portions were generous.

No complaints whatsoever, great experience and we will be back!

Elliott was a dream. One of our friends after we had amazing lunch.
Started having a medical issue and he called 911 for us and stayed with us the entire time.

The Riviera is great casual Florida waterfront dining that is also accessible by boat. It's location is a bit off the beaten path. We went for lunch at 11:30 on a Monday & were seated immediately had prompt service & food was delivered in under 15 minutes. The calimari was the best I've ever eaten, tender with very flavorful marinara. I had the grouper bite sandwich with onion strings, both lightly breaded & tasty. Husband had blackened grouper & fries. Clean, updated coastal casual decor. Placed was packed by 12:30, may need reservations for dinnertime. Absolutely worth the visit. We'll be back!

The Riviera Bar and Grill is one of our favorite places to go in SW Florida! The atmosphere is amazing, food is great and the staff is friendly and pleasant. My granddaughters had a great time feeding the fish on Alligator Creek!! Great place to relax and enjoy all that Punta Gorda has to offer!!

Great grouper whether in a sandwich, tacos, basket or Rueben. Always amazing and perfect. Our favorite appetizer.....hog wings! Tender, moist and so much flavor!! We prefer to eat outdoors along the river. Beautiful view!
