I worked with Brad and he was excellent to deal with. When I go to purchase another car, I will certainly call Brad 1st. If you are going to purchase a car, I would go to Jim Brown for a great price on a used car and I would certainly work with Brad. He was fair with the payments as well as the sales price.

I have purchased a total of three cars from Jim Brown Auto Sales on Poplar Level Rd. Every time I go in I ask for the bald guy. I now know his name is Brad. Brad has made me three great deals and I am glad that I have purchased my cars at Jim Brown. When I am ready to purchase again, I will certainly buy from Jim Brown, and I will be asking for Brad.

From an Insurance Agents view, Jim Brown staff are very professional. I have been dealing with them for 25 years. Never have any negative issues.

Bought my car here in February, and besides an issue with the turning switch and a charcoal filter in my gas tank (which they gladly fixed for free) I don't have any issues. There was a miscommunication with the payment schedule, so I pay a week later that it's due. But it worked out and I'm happy with my vehicle.

The only thing good about it was a low down payment other than that if u don't have, to stay away!. Bad customer service, my car was 6,000 after taxes 9,000 they specifically target a lower income audience (I wonder why). They are so unprofessional they rush you off the phone when we first test drove the car the heat didn't work. They made sure to tell us that this will be the only thing they will fix for free (like it shouldn't have already been done) the only reason they got 2 stars again was because they are cheap..... And u get what u pay for

Con artists! Simply put. We got our first car from them. Over paid but it was a good car. So when we needed a second one quickly we went back. BIG MISTAKE! After signing the papers we were told the car was a lemon. They said it was something small and not to worry. THEN we had issues getting insurance because it also had a branded title which they did not tell us. When we called to talk to them we were treated less than garbage. So we kept the car. When we got the car there was a light on and we did not know what it was. We found out it was the brakes. They were extremely bad. We were told by Lee if we got them fixed and brought him the receipt he would take it off what we owed. Today I am looking over my payments and notice it is not there. So I called and was told no they did not take it off they only deferred it EVEN THOUGH we were told we would be credited the amount paid. BEWARE PEOPLE THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! Do not buy here ! They are full of liars and con artists. I am waiting on my attorney to call me back now so we can see what we can do. I have already filed with BBB but they never do anything. My advice.....no one ever needs a car that bad to deal with these con artists or else you might end up spending $10,000+ on a car valued at $2,000 because its a lemon! THE CARS ARE NOT THE LEMONS....THE EMPLOYEES ARE!!!!!!!!

If I could give them less than one star I definitely will unprofessional scum bags. Purchased a car from them had it about 6 months they came an took the car.
Details purchased a car that was only 5,698 put a down payment of 1698 down made 3 car payments of 800 then made two car payments of 400 only to find out they wasn’t putting all that money towards the payment went to get the car back well to see how much we owed to get the car back they said 1200 wait what HOW??
When making these payments we was assured that ALL the money was going towards the payment meaning faster payoff. Fast forward car was sold at an auction IN MY NAME car got wreck got a letter in the mail stating I was being sued well how I no longer had the car was told car was never switched out of my name long process of showing I no longer had car... LOW DOWN SCUM BAGS

Where do I begin?
PLEASE NOTE: this will be a very long review, only because I'm being very honest and want to address all my issues with this company!

I bought my Nissan from them a little over a year and a half ago. Within the past year of owning my car, I have been dealt with nothing but negative experiences from them as a sales company, and in regards to the car they sold me as well.
Upon signing the lease, the salesman was a pervert; who at first I thought was just being nice, complimenting me all day. On my drive home, I answer a phone call from the salesman, who retrieved my PHONE NUMBER for HIS OWN PERSONAL USE, calling me to ask me on a date. I quickly informed him I was engaged. It soon turned into harassment! Text after text message went on for weeks- phone calls which were pushed to voicemail, persisting me to go on a date with him, and send bikini photos to him! I responded with a no every time, at times even avoiding his messages. After weeks of him not taking no for an answer, I threatened him his job, and blocked his number. Thankfully, it didn't escalate further than that and the calls and texts stopped. NOTE: I believe he no longer works there, however I am not certain.

Onto the car problems:
Having it for a year and a half, things 'literally' were falling apart.
After just a week, the drivers side visor mirror cover fell off while driving. I made the complaint to Jim Brown Auto, and said I could get it fixed from them for a couple hundred dollars! Just to fix a hinge and get a couple screws back in? No, thanks.
A month afterwards, my fan stopped working on the passengers side. So, air and heat would not come out on that side. About a few months after that, the drivers side window button would not respond, and the back window would have to be forced (by hand) to go up all the way.

A few months following, I noticed further issues, so I took it to the Nissan dealership (where they also do repairs). During inspection, the mechanic informed me of all the "issues" he found with the car. He had also walked me back to see the problems myself. I discovered someone had placed the brakes on incorrectly, backwards in fact!- causing to ruin my rotors. I had a few valves which needed to be replaced, since they had never been replaced during the whole life of the car. A few other issues, which I'm unfamiliar with. It resulted in me paying $4,700 in repairs! Granted, maybe a lot of that money went to labor fees, however, my point is that I shouldn't have been dealt with ALL these issues.

The last straw.. I got in my car, and found a piece of plastic was sitting in my seat. "How did this get in here?" I asked myself. I look up, only to discover the button for my dome lights had fell OFF! I laughed it off, but.. what am I supposed to do at this point?

LESSON HERE:
When you buy a used car, there WILL be issues, however, there shouldn't be as many as I had.

I now have a new Toyota, which I'm absolutely in love with.

However, I wanted to address that this company may just be out for your money, simply trying to sell you a car- GOOD car or BAD car-they just want your money!

I made my car payment every two weeks when it was due. I was never late on on any payments and I paid the amount which was needed of me. I was a good customer, but I was not given the respect, nor satisfaction I feel I deserved from them.

I'm not here to bash Jim Brown Auto Sales, I'm just writing for future customers TO BE AWARE when buying from them!

This place had decent down payments but the financing fees ,and the cars weren't worth it. My car had less than 90k miles when I purchased 4 months ago off the lot 2 months the transmission went out they " fixed " it my car came back jumping , and it was leaking transmission fluid and anti freeze now i have add it every other day. this place is terrible don't waste your time they knew I was a young college kid and got me trapped in this 9,000 loan for a 2002 car please avoid them !!!!!!!!!

People were nice at first but after they had my money attitudes quickly changed. Every time I call to make a payment they are rude or closed during their listed operating hours!!!???Either change your listed hours or stay open, that simple. On the other hand car is pretty decent , although over priced.

RE: Cute, Sir I call two to three hours before your listed close time and nobody's there or they can not take my payment. I have driven there an hour before you close and it is as dark as can be. Guess you use a different time system then others do.
