Lone star lakes Parks is a fantastic place to go and visit in the Suffolk Virginia area.

There are biking trails that are quite varied and extensive.

There are trails where you can jog on a nice very path. You can also find just a lot of flat surface if you prefer that to slight inclines.

There is a lot of places to launch boats I guess mostly canoes.

There is a ton of fishing they're actually number of lakes that are all joined together in this area.

Oh and there is a playground and the area, there are restrooms, and there are picnic tables spread throughout every area that I want to.

Relaxing, some wildlife, great
place to walk. You can normally find a pond with no people and dogs are common. There are fish but the freshwater ponds are overfished and unstocked. Crane lake and cedar creek are brackish and have puppy drum, specks, and small saltwater fish. Cedar a creek is only good at high tide (fish cut bait in the small creek on the right) and Crane Lake is better from a boat. However, Crane Lake has a few good shore spots, use mirror lures or swim jigs for trout opposite end from the boat ramp or cut bait for catfish (best near the boat ramp). Butler track has the best bass fishing. The whole park is good for kayaking.

Great place to enjoy the quiet. Several lakes side by side. A playground, several boat launches, Porta potty. Not sure of public bathrooms as we didn't drive through the whole place but it was very pretty, could be cleaner, but worth it for the solitude.

Gorgeous secluded park! My favorite place to walk my dog in the Suffolk area because it’s so quiet and the trails actually take you through the woods. My only complaint is I wish they had more trails that were longer but otherwise it’s perfect!

I've lived in the area for years and just found out about this secret world of nature and wildlife right under my nose! Excellent place for exploring, taking your dog and/or your date, or just getting away for a bit.

Beautiful and well maintained park. Definitely recommend for kayaking rather than hiking, but I explored a few nice trails. I also drove down to the far end (after turning right at the entrance) to the off road trail at that end, but it looked a bit overgrown.

This is a beautiful, well maintained park. Several lakes which you can fish from, there's also signs telling you which fish are in each lake. Our only complaint would be to fill in the potholes, quite a bumpy ride.

Great place to fish, has a few trails and a kids playground. Picnic tables available. It has a paved loop that I see people bike and jog around. We love it here

This place is a cool. Definitely a hidden gem. Lots of areas to fish. Several areas to launch a boat or kayak. The playground is really cool for the kiddos. The trails are a bit tough to find.

Nice trails and fishing areas. Good place to take the family for a day out. More people do launch kayaks and boats this year than I have seen in previous years. So bring patients if your trying to launch or fish from bank because some don't move as fast as others. A lot of beginners imho

Very nice area with fun gravel roads to drive on. Lots of trails and bodies of water. Fresh water and brackish with a few small boat ramps and canoe launch areas. Had fun with kids just driving around and plan to fish a couple of the lakes later this evening.
Small playground to help get some excitment and energy out of kids before continuing our day here.
Lots of picnic tables and shaded areas for picnics so pack a lunch and make a day of it.

This park is very quiet and the locals around are very nice. It was a very clean place to enjoy a nice walk. Just be careful there are alot of boat ramps with people fishing and there can be hooks on the ground, just make sure to wear shoes.

A great park with a lot of lakes to kayak or fish. The park has an auto gate that is closes sunset to sunrise. There is an archery range, play grounds, and walking trails. Admission is free as well. It is just a few minutes from downtown Smithfield and downtown Suffolk.
