A great place to spend a couple of hours with a kid to burn off some energy. I wish you could get closer to the animals- you are 6 plus feet of fence away even when they are close. The creek was good for a toddler to splash around in.

Late summer visit was the perfect day.
We began our visit with a picnic at the fountain pond.
After lunch, it was a short walk to the museum farm area where turkeys, chickens, sheep, mules/donkeys and pigs were on display. The museum buildings are closed.
A semi secluded area with a few picnic tables for seating provided a quiet area to sit and relax.
We ended our visit with a short walk through a wooded area, past a hidden pond that led us back to the fountain pond.
We had our dog with us. There is plenty of open space to switch to the 50' leash and let him run. But, around the farm, the short leash was a better choice.
The farm museum is close the 295 and you'll hear background road noise from it.
I recommend a visit here if you have the chance. Especially on less crowded days.

Enjoyed walking the shaded trails and the petting zoo. Plenty of space to give others space to walk. The staff were really nice, and told us about how the donkeys were rescues.

I always enjoy going here! Great place for dog walks trails and a lake and livestock to view. The playground is off to one corner which creates a nice seperation of kids and adults. Vast fields for any green space activity. Its always interesting getting to walk through history.

Meadow Farm/Krump Park is a great example of why Henrico is such a great county. The grounds are beautiful with trails, animals, and a historic home to tour. Our tour guide, Sandy, was absolutely incredible and really made us feel welcome. I think what they do at Meadow Farm Museum is incredibly important, and a must see! Great job Henrico!

I have been a fan of this place for many years. The history that this place shows its almost as if you can envision the past. Great place for history demos and reenactments . I've taken hundreds of children there to run and play and feed ducks and talk about the family that lived here. Nice playgrounds too! Love love love meadow farm forever...ALWAYS, MS. An amazing farm and 200+ year old house which you can view all for free! The house tour was very enjoyable. Every 30 minutes on most afternoons you can enter the house for guided tour. The tour guide was great and very knowledge, and the house is a fantastic period piece filled with antiques. The farm has cows, sheep, horses, and more, and is fun to explore. Lots of great older buildings surround the farm. And everything is totally free. Quite amazing!

I've been casually visiting Meadow Farm/ Crump Park since childhood. Although it has changed slightly over the years, the history is still there. More so, the reenactments and festivals are wonderful. The spirit of the place really can bring about the best in some folks.

This is another of Richmond's almost hidden gems! There are grand open areas, playgrounds and picnic areas, walking trails, Richmond and Glen Allen history and natural beauty of the land we call home. I was simply looking for a place to do some walking for exercise but found something far more.

Can't go wrong with a walk at Crump. They've got livestock and the museum if you're there with your kids, and have a fair bit of easily walkable trail system through the woods and around the pond if you're there with your pup. All in all a fair way to spend a couple hours in a quieter setting.

I starting going there 25 years ago when my kids were less than 5 years old. We would go 2 to 4 times per week. We loved it. Have been going back for different programs and it's better than ever. Highly recommend for all ages.

We love coming here to walk, pokemon hunt, or have a picnic before sunset. Great place, lots of room to get out and about. Beautiful decor in place for Independence Day.

Meadow Farm is the crown jewel of Glen Allen. A wonderful historical farm, a park with playgrounds, and plenty of places to play Pokemon Go. What more could you ask for? What, you need to get in a ten mile long run? Meadow Farm has got you covered. Need a place to go to fun community events? Also Meadow Farm. It's the best.

The family who were the original owners put great thought into donating this beautiful place to Henrico. Not commonly known, it's a must see. Such nice animals are also well provided for. Henrico must have functioned as a county should in stewardship of its residents & resources. Impressive, unlike Chesterfield County. Trust was visibly well placed by the owner. Phenomenal window on a simpler life 100 years ago. Very grateful it's there & the animals too.

Beautiful park, great trails, wonderful museum. Be sure to say hi to the farm animals! (But don't climb into the pastures.)

Cute animals and some historic buildings in between decent walking paths and a playground. Fairly easy to run around and walk around in without getting too crowded with other people (which, yes, matters to me).
