Very nice facility. Indoors & out. Came here to watch my cousins son play a soccer game. Bathrooms were clean. Vending machines were stocked too! Reception was nice.

Kelly, Miranda, and Katie went above and beyond to make my son’s 4th birthday party at the outdoor pool special. The kid’s pool and splash pad are amazing for the little ones. This location is essential for our summer fun. I highly recommend!

Love this YMCA! The staff is always helpful and friendly. They engage with my 7 yr old and entertain his crazy imagination. The sports could use more organization now that they have a new sports director but I'm sure she'll get it together soon.

Love the steam room! Friendly staff. Pleasant last 2 visits this week. CJ completed the women's locker room/ restroom routine clean up expeditiously so that I can go back in for a 2nd sauna session and shower. Appreciate the superb customer service!!

I go everyday and do my routine of walking the track 30 laps and treadmill for one hour. I go early in the AM so never crowded and now have the 24 hour access. The COVID restrictions are now being greatly relaxed. For the use of the facility is well worth the monthly fee.

I have several gyms that I visit in Hampton Roads, but the Taylor Bend "Y" is my favorite. Large 2 story facility with plenty of equipment, indoor/outdoor pool, & a friendly staff. They've recently started the 24 hour feature which has been amazing. Great gym.

The summer camp program is AWESOME! My 8 year old great granddaughter had only positive experiences in the two day camps she completed so far this summer. I signed her up for a total of five. I also enrolled her in a daily swim lesson. Her coach, Miss Vicky, is so committed and focused on strengthening the skills of her students. The skills and endurance my granddaughters acquired are notable and applauded. This coach is a parent's DREAM. Skills and personality PLUS! The management at this YMCA is approachable and professional, especially the Camp Director, Kelly. No concern or problem was too small to address and correct to my satisfaction. The overnight Cheer Camp was exceptionally organized and supervised. We are non-members but considering a membership.

They are very nice, I don’t recall rudeness ever being a problem, and I go there several times every week. It would be nice to eventually have some swim lanes added and expand the outdoor pool, but it’s really a nice place to work out in general, and they are one of the few gyms with an indoor track.

I signed my son up for swim class and the class has been great so far. The instructors were very kind. Everything was pretty easy to access. We will probably get a membership.

A great family place, clean with lots of options for all ages. I've tried some of the classes and the instructors are so positive, solo about encouragement & doing the best you can, no negativity.

The Stay and Play staff is great with my daughter, the facility is clean, and faculty members are great. I go to this facility over the one by my house because their hours are better and they have more machines and space than the portsmouth YMCA.

Great place awesome programs, neat clean and organized facility.....but I like to give special recognition to the Vicki and the swimming program.
It is amazing what you've done for my two little ones.....you've made them love the water and swimming so much , it's difficult to keep them away from Great wolf lodge and water country....We thank you Vicki and the YMCA Taylor bend and it's amazing staff.....

I love the atmosphere here—it’s a mix of people from all ages. It makes me feel included, unlike other gyms that don’t have many young teens working out.

Very nice! Locker room was clean and kept and the pool looked good too. Son went for his swim lesson.

A Very Clean Fitness Center with People that Work there to Help you with Many Physical therapy and Concerns. 👍

We had a ball. The outdoor pool rocks. Parent time with other parents and the atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back
